Hello. My name is Linda. My love for paper goes back to my childhood when I spent many hours coloring, cutting, gluing, and making things from paper. Over the years, I have enjoyed many arts and crafts, including painting and drawing, fiber arts, and other handcrafts. Finding the junk journal community on KZread opened a whole new world of creativity for me. I found a craft that brought together my need to be creative with a lifelong affinity for paper and the joy of creating something interesting and wonderful from things I already have. I hope you'll join me in the fun of making handmade journals in the junk journal style.

Finally got to watch uninterrupted… love all your ideas, Linda. I like how you did the flap in the back pocket that folds over the front into the tuck spot. Lots of possibilities. Thanks for sharing your creativity. Hugs!💗

"Church the description"?
Oops. My mistake. Unfortunately I can’t correct it because it’s embedded in the video, and I can’t edit it once it’s uploaded. Thank you for watching.
Great idea for a closure and I love the pinkies ink. Thank you and a lovely project.
Thank you so much. I’m happy that you like the project. Thank you for watching and for your comment.

Love this little project!
I'm so glad. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Your screen name makes me smile. That was a favorite saying that my mother used all the time.
@@lindaspaperworks My mother, too. She always said, "You're as welcome as the flowers in May!" That is why I chose it as my screen name. Glad it made you think of your mother, too:)
Had toco e back and add…..I’ve been using masking tape for my self created washi tape. But, using medical tape is much better idea! Thanks!
@@Barbarachocolate1956 So far the paper tape seems to be doing fine. It really stuck down to the plastic so I think using it sooner after it’s decorated would be better, but it seems to be holding. I think for the spine it does need the reinforcement of the ribbon but for washi tape I think it would work great. You just gave me a new idea so thank you.
FABULOUS!! My husband’s driving while I’m rapidly taking notes in the passenger seat watching you video!! Soooooomany new ideas! Thank you. You are so creative!

@@stormyswann6177 Hi Stormy. Thank you. I do have a fondness for it. Thank you for your comment.
I love your accordion envelope journal. How many envelopes did you use? I also love how you stamped on the cloth tape. TFS❤
Hi Teresa. Thank you, I'm happy that you like the journal. I used six envelopes, but you can use fewer or more, just depending on your preference. I thought six was just a good number. I did add in the tag page, so the journal actually has 14 pages. I hope you will have the fun of making one, too. Thanks for coming by and chatting.
I like this journal very much, and your decorations are very creative. ❤
Thank you so much, Donna. I'm glad you like them. Thank you for watching and for your comment.

Hi Pat. Thank you so much. I'm glad you had fun making the envelope ephemera holder. Thanks for watching.
Love the idea of the paper and cloth tape. Heaven knows I have enough ink pads and stamps to go hog wild. 🤣🤣🤣 Fantastic idea to use the in between pieces of napkins. Also gives a nice texture. This is a beautiful journal. Thank you for the video. 🤗🌹
Hi Lynda. LOL about going wild with the stamp pads and stamps. It really is fun to make the tape. Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you like the journal and got some inspiration. You're welcome; my pleasure to share.
Love what you did with the cloth tape. I also like the accordion book made with the envelopes. Very nice!

Yes, I'm interested in a paper making video. I've purchased the supplies to do it and have gathered up scraps. I just haven't done it yet! hahaha
Hi Vicki. I certainly understand that "I just haven't done it yet." It can seem daunting, but it's really not hard. I haven't made very much paper myself, but I do like the result. Maybe making a video will help me get into making more. Thank you for your interest and for stopping by.
I think you did a great job with your envelopes! It is definitely elegant as well. I would love to see you make handmade paper! I’ve always planned to make some.
Hi Vicky. Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you like the accordion book. Thanks for your vote about a papermaking video. I am planning how to make that video. It involves water and is a bit messy but so much fun.
VERY unique junk journal. Love all the different elements. Just when I thought you were done showing the journal, there was another part with lots more to see. Awesome work Linda!!!!
Thank you so much, Carol. It was an adventure to make it as well. Thank you for your comment and for watching.

Use your powder tool, or rub a candle to take the tacky off that paint chip tag. I love it! This is an adorable project! And I *have* envelopes! Thanks, Linda! Hugs! Peggy
Thanks for the tip, Peggy. Glad you like the project. You are most welcome. Have fun making with your envelopes.
I dearly love these pocket tucks, and the hand-painted stripes on the paper. Did you do it freehand? Thank you for sharing! Hugs! Peggy
@@peggydid Hi Peggy, thank you for your comment. I’m glad you liked this project. I’m trying to remember about the stripes. I’m pretty sure I painted them freehand but I can’t remember if I marked the spacing lightly with a pencil or just placed the paper next to a ruler or on the grid mat for spacing reference. The stripes are loosely done so there wasn’t much measuring if any. I really liked the way it turned out. I need to do more. You are most welcome. Love sharing. Hugs back.
Love your envelope ideas! I have plenty to use up, and now I have ideas ❤
Awesome! Thank you, Angela. So glad you like the ideas. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

This is my first time here! I love what you did with the window envelopes! I'm having to cut a bunch of papers down for my 3x7 pages in the Envelope Notebooks that I'm making for Christmas (this year, I hope). I could store the scraps from those beautiful pages in those envelopes & use them in the Env. Notebooks as ephemera! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Hi Martha. Thank you so much. Glad you like them. Thanks for coming by.
Loved this video. I have at least 500 of those paint cards. I knew they'd come in handy eventually. Thank you for the inspiration. 😊
You are most welcome. I’m glad you like the idea. Another idea I got from Kathleen Mower @beagainbooks is to emboss the paint chip and then sand the raised areas lightly. She has gotten some really pretty effects with that technique. You have lots of raw material to work with. Thank you for watching and for your comment.
I like your idea with the envelopes. They would look great if you coffee dyed them
Yes, that is a great option. Really so many ways to decorate and use the booklet. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
