do you spray wd40 while the blower is on, or with blower off ?

Hi, with the blower running. Otherwise the lubricant won't be pulled through to the bearings. Hope it works for you. Sorry for slow reply.

It shouldn't. For me perhaps surprisingly, it only whiffed for a few minutes, I just kept the windows down for a couple of miles. Good luck.

Great advice. Thank you so much for your advice. There is nowhere else on KZread indeed. Your video clip is short and concise. We have six Keylite roof windows. One of them leaked between the wooden parts (not between the glass and the frame) and we tried and tried looking for tips on KZread and did not find an answer. We were about to have the window replaced, but I thought I would look for a tip on KZread one last time, and luckily I found your video. We gave it a try and amazingly the leak stopped. A few months later another roof window leaked, so we followed your advice again and it has stopped the leak again. My husband and I are still amazed that water could penetrate around the screws.

Thankyou for taking the time to comment, I'm genuinely chuffed that it is helping so many people. Goodness knows how many millions have been wasted with unnecessary work over many decades. And yes it is incredible how much water finds it's way through the screw holes, enough for a steady trickle. Thanks again!

Does this work on lci models aswell?
@HouseandCarHacks29 күн бұрын
I would imagine that it would. It could potentially work on any blower fan with dry bearings. Once enough WD40 reaches the bearings (& it doesn't need alot), then it has a chance of working. It's worth a try and when it works it saves an awful lot of hassle! Hope it works for you.

How long this will last/help... if blower motor is old,like in my car,would I be better off replacing it?!
@HouseandCarHacksАй бұрын
Possibly but this is worth a try in most cases. If your blower is reasonably sound but just has dry bearings, then this can work. My blower is still squeak free. Thanks for commenting.
