The Scrolls Of Azeroth

The Scrolls Of Azeroth

I make videos on the lore of World of Warcraft. I'll talk about specific characters, zones or events in the game. Just so people know, yes i do use ChatGPT to help write my scripts. I'll ask it to rewrite the wiki and then from there I read it and figure out if i need to re-write it, or keep it or just come up with something totally new. I reference the books that i own as well to help out to ensure I get info as correct as possible, but without ChatGPT I wouldn't be able to get the videos done at all.

    in the original lore the Titans did basically all the sculping of Azeroth and the constructs were just to maintain their technology and the seals on the old gods, who they directly sealed themselves after deeming it too dangerous to unleash a titans full power to destroy them. the Dragon Aspects were empowered directly by the titans to manage Azeroth after they were ready to move on and build up more worlds. the lore was retconned several times over the years with the Constructs becoming the keepers and gradually taking some of the feats and duties that were originally belonging to the Titans themselves or Dragon Aspects. (the titans can make Avatars to interact with the world directly on a smaller scale but only at a fraction of their power which wasn't sufficient to kill the Old God's outright but were able to defeat and seal them).

    Video is great except for the one very cringe fact that you accept the jailer retcon and use this instead of Arthas… this is precisely why it’s such terrible writing, they stole Arthas’ cool factor and injected it into “the jailer” and it all vanished - now arthas is just Fcked in the lore & no one gives a sht about fake & stupid jailer… Everytime you say “the jailer” it removes me from immersion & immediately makes me not care about wow lore - - - because now it seems any corporate retard can get hired and take an axe to beloved characters

    I’m building an Orc and Goblin Tribe Warband for Mordheim. I’m basing them off of the Mag’har orcs, Hellscream, and Nagrand; while paralleling Fel magic with the Wyrd crystal and its impact on the group! I already have a handful of greenskins and uncorrupted. As to whether they’ll overcome or be consumed, time will tell. I love your lore videos.

    Thanks for making such an amazing and in depth video on WoW lore. I love how this is layed out and it brought up so many memories of playing but also tied up some gaps in my game knowledge. I watch videos like this when I am going to sleep and have often fallen asleep to this. Took about 6 attempts to get through the whole thing (due to falling asleep) but I have finally finished it. Love your work and I hope you keep up the great content.

Thanks again and I’ll sure keep working on more content :)

    I love this channel mostly because of the voice (or voices? Is it multiple guys or just one guy clipping in additions with different mic settings? anyway…). But I think this channel really, REALLY needs someone to listen to these and send back required pronunciation edits. I honestly don’t know how you can be the slightest amount of interested in the topic and not know how to pronounce the words involved, let alone interested enough to make a KZread channel and put content out with regular addition… I realize some will think mispronunciations are minor, and certainly not worth throwing a fit about, but to some of us it’s almost literally like nail on a chalkboard. For instance, the j in Valarjar is pronounced as a y. To hear it pronounced as ValarJar is really quite … yarring. It’s been enough to make me stop listening at times 😞 However, if the channel needs someone to help fix the problems in either already-published videos, or for future pieces, I would do it for whatever the channel offered as pay; including even for no pay, at first, since the channel is still small. I understand a non-disclosure _might_ be requested, and I would be willing to sign one blanket contract saying I wouldn’t disclose anything about anything related to your channel. You could just add me to credits in the description to the videos I helped on. Good enough for me, for now.

  • @scrollsofazeroth

    It’s just me, don’t have anyone else work on the videos. As far as the pronouncing of the words I try and find the pronunciations either within the game or wiki but can’t always find them then I’ll just look up “how to pronounce” whatever I need to pronounce and do my best with what I got. As far as the Valajar I swear that’s how he prounouced it within the game so I just said it like that but maybe I misheard him. Sorry my pronouncing can be pants sometimes, I do what I can with what I got, but I ain’t perfect. I’ve sometimes gone back and re-recorded and added in fixed audio if enough people are bugged by it or if I noticed it after the upload or something. In the future I’ll try to research more on the pronunciations of the names and such but I only have so much time to devote to these videos with working full time and only having a few hours a day during the week after work.Thanks for taking the time to check out the video and hopefully you check out the rest of the videos and I hope that the bad pronunciation of the names doesn’t put you off the to the channel entirely but I’d understand if it does.

    @@scrollsofazeroth i probably was more aggressive than i needed to be, and i apologize for that. I guess i can be a bit … passionate … at times. Sorry. But I’d be happy to work with you in the future if you’d like. No charge. It could be done preemptively, where you send me a script and i mark the words that i know could/will be an issue and send it back to you with the pronunciations, you record, i listen to double check, you fix/publish the video -or- Send me a video, i watch it, i send back a lot of timestamps with any problematic pronunciations, you fix them and then you publish. I am disabled due to a spine that has been trying to murder me for years… so I’m just here at home, plenty of time on my hands. Pay me or don’t, i won’t be bothered if you can’t afford it yet. But let’s get this channel recognized for how good it is and make it even better 😁

    I really like the way you layered out the story in this video. Subbing 🎉 Keep up the good work. It is well structured and chronological in a way that makes sense unlike many other videos attempting to explain the story line and creating a jumbled mess. There’s so many things to follow in wow lore that many people get sidetracked by other main stories parallel to the central plot

  • @scrollsofazeroth
    @scrollsofazeroth9 күн бұрын

    Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed! I try my best to make it solid and with as much backstory as WoW has it can be tough at times trying to make sense of everything they got going on lol, but I try my best to get it all correct to the best of my abilities. I wouldn’t be opposed to doing something in the future by trying to follow the main story of wow in one big video, but that would be a big pain in the butt and a lot of time that I don’t have currently lol

    Do you have a list of your lore videos to watch in some sort of chronological order (lore wise)?

  • @scrollsofazeroth
    @scrollsofazeroth11 күн бұрын

    Not really, but I have been looking at making either a video series with more chronological order and what not, but just don't have the time at the moment and still working through the zone lore videos. but i'd probably go with this video first since it covers the beginning of the world and the crafting of it then probably look at the BC zone lore, then the Northrend Lore probably. If you would like characters who were around from the early times then Alleria and Vereesa are good ones to watch since they have been around for many years
