A little glimpse into our backyard featuring all kinds of wildlife. Currently have a barred owl nesting box with exterior cameras (unfortunately box camera is no longer working) and several cameras along the pond. In addition to the nesting barred owls, we have also seen red shouldered hawks, coopers hawks, herons, mallard ducks, hummingbirds, racoons and coyotes. Will also attempt to have live feeds of nesting box and plan for improvements next season!

If the owl didn't move, it would blend right in with the tree and no one would ever know it was there. 🦉 What an adorable little raptor. 😊
Incredible shots!
Thank you!

When that other bird flew by the owlet looked at the camera as if to say,All right, who threw that &%$# bird at me??? Hope the little one made it to the safety of a sturdy branch.Beautiful bird.
Haha! Believe it or not, that bird that flew by was actually the little owlets mother! I think the mother owl must have seen me filming and she was trying to warn the baby owlet. That's my best guess at least. The little one did eventually make it up to the very tippy top of a neighboring tree. The following morning, we discovered that the owlet then moved even more to an adjoining tree and is now next to it's sibling! I'll be posting some more videos :)
Beautiful creatures. We seem to have 2 pairs of barred owls around this spring. I haven't seen any babies but I'm sure there are some somewhere!
That is awesome, they are hoot to listen to! You probably do have some young owlets somewhere up there. They typically make this high pitch whistle/screech noise, so be on the lookout for it! The baby owlets make a screeching noise in the very beginning of this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oWmoxJqImKrYh6Q.htmlsi=_mCW8QXc4jqh5fYO
Outstandingly well camouflaged.
Thanks for stopping by the Live Stream Today, Barred Owls are my favorite raptor. Love you channel. Very cool!
Thank you!!
Flies right to the camera. Rare and brilliant!
Couldn’t agree more!! This moment was especially bittersweet for us, as it was the final fledge from the nest box…but we look forward to watching and listening to them high in the surrounding oak trees this summer!
I think that's the first time I've seen owls on a stream protect a nest in daytime.
I know right? It’s been fascinating to watch! Of the several squirrel/owl interaction videos, this one is by far my favorite!
06:19 Mom is still nearby and flies at left inferior corner on the video.
Great eye! Mom is never too far away 🥰🦉
Nice clip but I don't see any attack.
Thanks for watching Steve! The owl swooped down to the box in an aggressive manner which seemed to be like an attack. Alternatively, I suppose you could interpret it as a defensive maneuver considering her owlets are in the box. Be sure to check out the other videos! Wow, even owls mates have their arguments! 🦉❤️🪶💯
Lover’s quarrel I suppose 🤣
Damn jays 🙉😂
Couldn't agree more! 🤣
And in the end they fly away and the female is like, "what just happened?"
Haha I'm sure she had a close eye on her victor!
