I disagree with Kay on torres. What is happening with gleybet doesn't "happen all the time". In fact it's very rare for a talented player like gleyber to basically fall off the face of the planet. It's also a gigantic "swing and miss" for the Yankees. Torres was, at one point, I believe the #5 prospect in all of baseball. He's currently hitting. .220. That's a huge problem. But the point is that Torres isn't just some random schmuck that the Yankees picked up off the side of the street. He was an international free agent and a very highly touted prospect. That's a significant Loss for the Yankees

When the Yankees made the deal for Soto every Yankee fan was over joyed over looking the problems that they have on offense. Yes you have Judge, and Soto. However, outside of that. You have Rizzo who's declining fast. Volpe who's in a sophomore slump. If your relaying on Verdugo as your #5 your not a very good team. The pitching has been OK. The difference between you and the O's. The O's are a complete team and they don't even have Bautista back. They also could go and make moves to get better. You can't realy on just 3 guys in Basketball yes it works. In baseball teams will figure out ways to pitch around your best hitters. Yankees are a wild card team yes. However, if they lose either Judge, or Soto, to a god forbid season ending surgery. Yankees go from a wild card team to a non playoff team.

Kay is Wrong, the league has a book on Gil and is pouncing on him. Gil also had Tommy John and is suffering from DEAD ARM syndrome. Where a pitcher cannot locate and serves up Gopher Balls galore. Gil should be Shut down, but the Yankees are desperate for pitching and will end up destroying Gil in the process. As for the Yankees current Fall. The first part of the season was simply a Mirage caused by playing Sisters Of The Poor teams. Now that the Yankees are playing REAL Competition, we are seeing the REAL Yankee team in action. A repeat of two seasons ago.

Yankees wont bring up Jones. They didn't bring up Dominguez when he was ready, then he got hurt again. They are never proactive. They'll keep waiting for LeMahieu from 2019, Oswaldo Cabrera to hit, Verdugo to be April/May Verdugo,Torres to meet his potential and "platinum glove" Trevino. Most, if any of that, won't happen . They'll cycle in dfa guys until Stanton gets back

They want you to relish in one players successes that won't matter in the post season. Low and behold we will lose in the playoffs again not because of judge but because the roster construction. But they'll need us to be good fans and keep believing in this team so they make their money. Bottom line a 300 million dollar payroll should not have these depth issues but everyone gets to keep their jobs because the mission statement isn't to win, it's to sell us on this snake juice.

Why do some fans bring that up of Judges early month. Fans forget he had abdomen problems early and missed some spring training. Michael doesn't understand fans dont want to hear injury excuses like they had the last few years and Michael is using the injury excuse even though we are relying on injury prone players.

If you know what a good baseball swing looks like, it’s no mystery AT ALL what “happened” to Gleyber Torres. It’s the fundamentals of his long, off balanced swing.

Michael Kay acts like Rizzo was a superstar before the injury when he was absolutely dreadful not only hitting but defensively, if there is one thing that bothers me the most about Kay is his flip flop stance on everything sometimes he’ll bash the players then say well it’s injuries then he’ll bash the front office for roster construction then he’ll again say well the injuries are getting to them, look I don’t care if the entire roster was healthy and playing at their best level ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Yankees have 2 players who are insanely great and the rest injured or not are below the league average!!! Volpe is now below league average so tell me was it injury that made Volpe below league average? How about Verdugo or Rizzo or DJ or Trevino or Wells or Cabrera or Torres??? THEY ALL STINK!!! Ben Rice has been the best third hitter on this team and he’s been here for what a week? Ridiculous!!! FIRE BRIAN CASHMAN ALREADY!!!

Disagree. The Knicks will miss Hartenstein quite a bit. He showed how good the Knicks offense could be with a talented center. Hartenstein was an excellent passer, moved well to facilitate the offense, hit the offensive boards and can shoot. Robinson, on the other hand, can't do any of that and you can't have him in the game at crunch time because he is a terrible foul shooter. That being said, the answer to the Hartenstein problem is in house. Move Randle to the 5. You've got Bridges, an excellent defender at the four, You've got Anunoby, an excellent defender at the 3, and you've got Hart, an excellent defender, that you can play at the 2. Those three mitigate most of the need for Randle to be a rim protector, which he isn't. And if the opposition's size becomes a problem defensively, you can insert Robinson into the lineup in those situations. And, on the plus side, Randle gives you better offense than Hartenstein. It keep Achiuwa. He gives you size. And I don't think you need to trade someone valuable like McBride to bring in a backup center like Kessler. As for Philly, I don't think that George, at this stage of his career is that big of an improvement over Tobias Harris. George is way past his sell by date and he'll be 39 in four years. Plus George gets hurt a lot. Maybe you'll get twenty games when he and Embiid will be on the floor at the same time this year.

I think the Yankees need to stop with the whole grinding out at bats thing. In today's game I think it's just better to let guys swing. When Judge and Tores swing freely they are much better hitters. I do like the idea of being a patient hitter but the way people pitch today giving away first pitch strikes everytime is kind of letting pitchers off the hook. I'm not saying swing at every first pitch but maybe once a game wouldn't hurt. Just keep these pitchers honest.

Can that be the same Steve sommers? I am originally from NY and now an avid Yankee fan but spent years in LA calling re: Angels. Sommers asked me out(not my type at all, unfortunately). I have a question, Michael re: the Yanks I also have a feeling, that they won’t add in infield. Why? If not Mcmahon, then what about Rengifo? His fielding is just ok but with playing time, he hits. He could take over next year at second. And yes I know bullpen is first. Or, maybe a starter(Schmitt could move there, Gil or Nestor) just saying, should they not be able to acquire good bullpen help, away from garbage dump.

The problem with the yankess is that we're always in win now mode which means veterans will play most of the time. But now baseball is becoming more of a young dudes sport. So we have young up and coming talent but we also gotta win now every year. I think they should resign Soto and get rid of ALL the older guys who aren't doing much and make way for the younger cats. Oswaldo Cabrera is rotting on the bench while DJ stinks it up. Trevino still getting more reps that wells when he can't throw anybody out and his bat has been silent. Oswaldo can play the outfield as well yet he still on the bench. Why is Volpe the only young player this organization will give a long leash too. I like he has a long leash but why only him. He started off hot and has been cooled off but b3cause we know he will be in there everyday I'm sure he will get it going again. But why not give Oswaldo or Wells that same assurance.

Cle has not gotten any better in 3 seasons, 2 of their starters are consistently on the trade block and they still cant move them, Phi has gotten more injury prone & older, plus they lack depth, PG is NOT the same PG he was and proved this in the playoffs, meanwhile the only knock against the knicks roster is a question mark around Mitch's health, aka, a backup C. This Knicks team is clearly the 2nd best team in the east right now, and they no doubt have the ability to beat Boston in a 7 game series.
