    In Botswana, we don't know much about Namibians too. However, to clarify something Ruth said, Botswana never used US dollars as its currency. In the past, Botswana used the South African Rand because our economies were closely linked. We introduced our own currency, the Pula, in 1976. Botswana's Pula is considered stable due to the country's strong economic fundamentals and investment climate

And it was like that as well in Europe.. even mostly people had prejudice against neighbours.. and there were always tensions and wars in Europe... Until the leaders realised and worked hard to connect people instead.. and now there are soooo many benefits.. and therefore Europe got much richer when the countries now cooperate.. hope the same for Africa ;)

    I also hope people are aware that the Himba people are the origin of the Herero tribe, whom the Germans tried to eliminate in the genocide of the early 1900. When the Germans arrived, they were trapped in North West Namibia, while others (Hereros) have migrated to the central part of the country, where grazing land was better... They are literally the same tribe, same language, same culture. As you see that place hardly receive rain, poverty is also very high due to drought. Poverty I'm not refferering to the lack of proper housing and clothes, as you see they are already well dressed, I'm talking about enough livestock. If land can be equally distributed, (areas that receives enough rainfall in the hands of Germans), these people can be relocated in their culture, we can preserve them for generations to come. Just wanted to enlighten that.

  • @dudy
    @dudyКүн бұрын

    Thanks for the knowledge! Oh… I did not know that the Herero and Himba are so much connected… like seeing it on the appearance they look so distinct! Why do you think they change so much?

  • @naturestherapy9943

    @@dudy I wish I could share a picture with you, how the old Herero women used to dress, it's very close to the Himbas. The modern Herero women you see today, were made to dress that way by the German colonizers, the dress evolved untill they beautify it to today's style.. If you follow their culture well, the Herero and Himba all lived a nomadic lifestyle, untill the colonizers disrupted that lifestyle, forcing them to settle down.

  • @dudy
