  Yeah, Vietnam and Afghanistan were very different situations. The US was technically not "defeated" in either of those conflicts. They just got tired of fighting and WINNING. The US removed the Taliban from power in 2 weeks after first boots landed in Afghanistan. In Vietnam, the US played an exclusively defensive role and didn't lose a single MAJOR battle in the Vietnam war. If the US wanted to, they could be imperialist and invade Pakistan or North Vietnam to have fully destroyed the threats they faced and win the war, but they didn't because they aren't Russia.

  Chinas navy is brown water not blue, they would never reach the states before running out of supplies or being destroyed. That and their new carriers have currently been a failure. Not to mention the majority of Chinas navy is coastal patrol vessels and fast response craft, not destroyers, subs and carriers. Russia have 5000 reported warheads, how many have actually been maintained in a useable condition is unknown. But, because its russia and even the money to fix the Kuznetsov has been stolen several times during its refit (and it sank twice) the chances any of those stockpiled weapons that arent equipped on subs or serve as part of their response arsenal is 50/50. Nukes need heavy maintenance to function and russia is historically awful at looking after its weaponry. Take Moskva as an example. As for the russian Tanks, most are currently smoldering in Ukraine. The USA's strength doesnt just stem from its own military, but all of Nato as a whole. The worlds most powerful global economy and military alliance designed to fight specifically China and Russia. Putin himself has stated Russia would lose in a 1v1 confrontation with Nato, its why he threatens nukes all the time.
