My problem is the heat problem my house is very cold but my room is very hot because I have four other animals in my room that also have a heater so my room is very stuffy (bearded dragon, hermit crabs and a leopard gecko)

Very sweet 😍 cute bun. I use unscented paper litter. I find soft bedding too messy. Sticks to them. I do give herbal forages to my floof tho ☮️

We always feed orchard grass to our senior bunnies 13 year old Katrina, a 12 year old Gwen, 11 year old Halligan, 10 year old Babs, and Niko 6. However with my most recent vet visit it turn out Babs bottom back teeth need to be watched I was told to buy 1st cut Timothy so that’s what I ordered today. Unfortunately oat hay one of my rabbits is allergic as heck to it and caused him to sneeze constantly. 😢

I went to a bunny talk hosted by Triangle Rabbits from North Carolina, and they recommended attaching a hay mat to a vertical surface so bunnies that like to bite baseboards could have a safe way to play. Both my bunnies loooove to eat baseboards, so I’m very excited to try this trick.

I know this is a Small Pet Select video, so I hope this comment is NOT insulting in any way! I just wanted to try to help by mentioning that when I first got my bunny a little over a year ago and I was still learning about and trying to find the best places on the market to shop for her and other than Small Pet Select and one or two other places I heard a lot of people and youtubers mentioning "The Well Kept Rabbit." It's an Etsy shop but they also have their own website, and, on their website, they have a tablet called "Delilah's Megacolon Tablet" and being a new bun mom prior to getting my bunny I did a lot of extensive research, but I never heard of Megacolon, so I did some research on it but in her website description she says the following "With virtually nothing on the market for megacolon bunnies, especially holistic/natural support, we knew we had to take matters into our own hands for our special megacolon bunny, Delilah. So, after a lot of diligent research and consultations with our mentor Lucile Moore phD, we developed this nourishing treat specifically designed to support megacolon bunnies. While this treat is designed specifically with megacolon in mind, it can also be safely given to small pets who do not have megacolon." She also states that "these tablets are a mixture of antispasmodics, anti-inflammatories and herbs that specifically help with absorption of nutrients, countering irritation in the gut lining, and soothing mucous membranes of the GI tract. They are best used in conjunction with our Megacolon Tonic Herbal Forage." On their website description they also have some "quick facts" about their megacolon tablets, if you will. They state that "High Vitamin C - herbs help with improvement in fecal shape and output: rose hips, dill, thyme and celery seed. Healthy Fats - are needed in the gut for motilin and help increase proper gut function: oats and alfalfa leaf. Adaptogens - for anti-inflammatory and stress reducing effects: Schisandra Berry and Ashwagandha. Gut Health & Motility Aids - plantain leaf, probiotics, enzymes, brewer's yeast (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) and ginger root. Immune Support - echinacea, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root and dandelion root." "Ingredients: pumpkin, oat flour, apple, timothy hay, rose hips, healthy gut probiotics, alfalfa hay, alfalfa leaf, nettle, celery seed, chamomile, saccharomyces cerevisiae, papain, ashwagandha root, burdock root, dandelion root, dill, echinacea, ginger root, marshmallow root, oat straw, plantain leaf, schisandra berry, slippery elm bark, thyme, yucca root (certified organic)" Guaranteed Analysis is listed as "crude protein (min) 10.5%, crude fat (min) 6.81%, crude fiber (max) 1.62% and moisture 7.22%." "Feeding instructions: 1-2 tablets daily per 5lbs body weight." She also goes onto to say that "this treat is an adjunct/complementary approach to the megacolon disorder by adding nutritional support, as a lack of nutrient absorption is part of the disease process. It is NOT a substitute for medication....." She also says that "this product has been reviewed and recommended by Lucile Moore PhD, widely recognized rabbit expert and author of Rabbit Nutrition and Nutritional Healing." and lastly, she states that the "minimum age for use is 6 months." I am not sure if this is helpful or if anyone who has a bun with megacolon would be interested in these tablets, but I thought I would share just in case. I know that oats are not something should really be given to bunnies and be in their treats and diet, so I don't know how I feel about that being an ingredient but other than that I am not sure if any of the other ingredients are good for buns with megacolon. I do not have a bun with megacolon, but I still wanted to share incase this could be helpful to someone who does. Again, I know this is a Small Pet Select video so please don't come at me for posting about a non-Small Pet Select product, I am simply just trying to help and the second I heard Sara mention megacolon in this video I immediately remembered the products that The Well Kept Rabbit sales in order to help buns with megacolon.

Hey Sara! Thanks for another great video! My rabbit( hotot de blanc) also was diagnosed with MegaColon. Please,if you can do a video on this health issue. I usually give him a Hay buffet( lots of 1st and 2nd Timothy hays, orchard grass, and oat hay). I also have infant gad drops and Oxbow's Critical Care. I've taken him to the ER animal hospitals in the past due to him not eating the Hay buffet and he has gone into G.I Stasis multiple times. But I caught it and nursed him back to health and the doctors gave him strong beds for him to recover.

Check out the megacolon tabs & forage mix at the well kept rabbit. Also you may want to switch to Sherwood Pet Health Recovery Food instead of Oxbow. They make rabbit food as well that has helped both of my bunnies with sensitive tummies.

I adore their timothy hay for my bunnies. I was tired of paying for a bag of dust that would only last for a week. The boxes are crammed to the top with fresh hay and last a long time. Which is great since my bunnies not only eat the hay, but I use it in their litterboxes and dig boxes. I love this company!
