Great video! Nice to see your rabbit, Chester! I have litter boxes that have grids on them. My rabbits for some reason like to sleep in their litter boxes, i wish i knew why..... So i got litter boxes to seperate the waste area from them sitting and sleeping on that area

Idk you or your rabbits, so I don’t know if they’re sleeping in their litter boxes for the same reason mine did, but each time my rabbit begins sleeping in his littler box, it’s a sign that he’s having some minor trouble with constipation. After I get his tummy issues sorted out, he sleeps anywhere but the litter box, lol! Your rabbits might just think it’s really comfy or something, idk. Rabbits are awesome and really quirky animals! 😂

Pepper is such a cute floof! As well as Chester 🥰 ty for your vids, they r all informative. My bun doesn't eat enough hay and I have it everywhere and it's barely touched. Frustrating! Any ideas? I have many hay rings from SPS that he luvs but I do worry.😮 Sometimes I don't feed him his greens in hopes to force him to eat hay but he just goes for more pellets. My vet said to always have free form pellets. I try tough luv by not giving treats or pepper bits or his cilantro or parsley daily but can't resist his wittle 👀 face 🤗

Thanks for your wonderful and helpful video! I always place my rabbits' hay in one corner of their litter box and leave the balance of the litter box with just bedding. Is that OK? Covering the entire litter box with hay would seem to lead to them urinating on the hay that they then eat. Second question. I love the idea of the plastic liner. Would you ever be concerned about a rabbit chewing on the plastic? Thank you so much!

Whatever works best for your cuties! If your rabbit typically chews plastic, then it's best to stay away from using it. We do suggest that considering another type of liner that exposes no plastic.

Hey, great video, I love your brand! I lead a group of kids and we have this little community where we have various rodents to take care of and the kids learn about their biology and stuff. There is a question which my kids do bug me a lot with: How the wood chip bedding is made and how it gets to your supply depot. I was looking at your pages but couldnt find anything too related. My kids and I would be really gratefull for the answer and pictures if there are any :) All the best!

Unfortunately, no one answer fits all. Depending on the size of the box, your rabbit's output, and personal preference; generally, it's good to refresh the litter each day (scoop soiled litter and top up) and dump the contents every few days or at least once a week. Hope this helps 💚

How many times do you clean the box ?

Any suggestion on trying to bond a bun (Malt), who’s chewed through 3 plastic litter boxes, to a bonded pair who’s managed to leave their plastic litter box alone (they’ve figured out it’s meant for a toilet and NOT a chew toy)? Malt has a stainless steel litter box because she isn’t happy with the other 10 things she CAN chew on. Yes, she does have her own hay she eats/ chews through, but it doesn’t seem to be enough for her 4 pound self?

For two rabbits who are bonded, should I have two litter boxes? Also the liner is genius! I feel like an idiot for never thinking about it I hate constantly having to scrub their litter boxes 😅

Yep... the "Why didn't I think of that?" moment, happens to all the BEST of us! 😂 Typically, using one litter box for bonded buns is just fine, so long as it's large enough for both to use together. However, if you notice your cuties do not like sharing the same box or cannot comfortably fit, then, two separate litter boxes are best. It's funny, with so many different bun personalities, it seems like the only sure thing is that our buns will show us what they want/need one way or another! 🐇💚

Would a medium box or lower level box be best for a bunny? I tried to get a very low litter box and I feel like they might hit their legs when they jump so Is there a low to ground level box?

Typically you wouldn't want all four sides too high. However, choosing the right litter box will differ depending on specific factors like bun size, age, any limitations, etc. Luckily, there are so many options available & many have an entrance that's much lower for easy access. 🐰💚

Is small pet select recycled pelleted paper cat litter bunny safe?

Why does my bunnie he throws it all out of it every time I fill it .

I have been told that plastic bags are a big NO NO. They will chew on them and and cause problems. What I do is put some of the paper litter on the bottom, then add some newspapers and then a small bit of pine pellets from my farm supply store. On top of all that is hay. They also have SPS hay rack above the litter pans for them to eat while using the litter pans. They are in my small living room so keeping the smell down is very important for me. There litter pan hay is always topped every day. With this setup the pans are completely changed every 3 days with no smell in the room.,
