On 2.02 When viewing images in playback mode there is a icon overlay that is virtually telling you if you press the playback button again while you're in that mode you can go back to shooting. Um... It's a professional camera, why does one need an distracting icon to tell them that they can go back to shooting by pressing a playback button when one can just press the shutter button. Is there any way to get rid of that distracting icon? Sometimes it covers up one of my subjects eyes. And it really kills the vibe when showing clients photos you have taken.

I liked this video so much I hit the like button 3 times! I like your take on the camera, first video I’ve seen of yours and I’m subscribing already. Only advice I could give you if you’d be open is when you edit together clips, try fading the audio so it doesn’t cut off abruptly ❤

My man, your video is wrong all your specs on the mini four or not accurate. It doesn’t operate OS 3 operates an OS 4 as well. It has Omni directional sensing. How do you get all that wrong clearly your stats for the Air Force probably very wrong if you can’t even get the mini for right lol you should just take this video down now, not accurate

Z8 is the natural competition for the R5 mkii huh? Very similar features. I haven’t tried out the amazing new Nikon cameras yet so I’m curious if this will be able to sell well despite being more expensive than the Z8.
If it’s overpriced and not as good as the Z8 nobody will buy it right? I think the consumer will decide on that and I will imagine the R5II will massively outsell the Z8 for all the reasons the reviewers are saying. The Z8 is a good camera. The Canon though has a list of useful features and spec’s which surpass those of the Z8 and its much heavier too.
The r5ii looks like a solid upgrade, I am excited about the dynamic range, readout speed, and upgrades to the focusing system. The rest is gravy. Canon isn't about having the flashiest specs, rather they are more about reliability and joy of use.... My only wish is that we would have got illuminated buttons, which in my opinion, should be a standard feature in all pro bodies.

"Megapickles"?? Simon's people will be in touch. I have no use for neural network reduction. But most of the R5 II's other features are rad and I've ordered it. That said, I wish the R5 II had a 3-axis LCD and oversampled 4K video beyond 60 FPS. 4K/120 with sound is great but I'd prefer a sharper image. To your question about cards. CFE-B cards are both faster and cheaper than CFE-A. If anything, I'd rather see dual CFE-B cards in the R5 II and similar bodies.
Samsung 990 pro, 4TB is the only thing of interest to me. I do need ND filters, but I am leaning towards, some from PolarPro. Thanks

Sounds like non-pro explanation of dual gain sensor and sensor sensitivity at a pixel level. Chip has no cooling, thus do not expect low physical noise, physically, only during post-processing steps.

Dynamic range is all I'm after for my work. I ftp medium JPEG's so I dont need any more Meggapixles than my R3 has. I shoot sports in the wilderness and expose for the face often blowing out the magnificant landscapes in the background.
Question about Eye AF: Can you look around the frame without messing up your focus?
I'm not sure if this is the answer your looking for but on my R3 the "SET" button is set to turn the eye control on and off. If it's on then focus follows your eye. If it's off then nothing changes as your eye looks around.
Was that pushbike footage at the end, filmed with a drone? If so, then that seemed to follow you down the track particularly well.
A DGO with a three base ISO in the R1 sounds really good, but it is 24MP. If the R5C has 16 steps DR, then it could also have some kind of DGO sensor. I'm still waiting to see an internal ND filter in one of it. I hope both will come with 2x USB-C 4, allowing data read out beside an external Powerbank.

I’m still wondering about you staying with the R1 having 30mp while everyone else is stating 24mp. I’m hoping you’re right. However, how confident are your sources that this will be accurate?

The DGO sensor does not turn on or off… or take turns capturing the different gain levels. This is actually what Red does with their V-Raptor camera. Their technology is called Global Vision Extended Highlights. It takes two exposures one after the other and then combines the two into a single image. This technology is actually a bit of a gimmick, as it produces ghosting artifacts if the image is moving. Conversely, Canon’s Dual Gain Output (DGO) sensor uses a technology similar to Arri’s Dual Gain Architecture. Notice those similar names? In both cases the dual gain levels are captured simultaneously. This means there is no ghosting artifacts. Which is why you will notice on the C70 and C300MkIII, both of which have full time DGO enabled up to 60 fps, no one is complaining about artifacting or ghosting. Canon must have reached a license agreement with Arri to use this tech. The key thing is, if both gain levels are not captured at the same time, the DGO feature would be useless in 99% of shooting conditions. Which of course we know is not the case. If the rumors are true, and the Canon EOS R1 is equipped with a DGO sensor, it will no doubt have a advantage over the smaller s35 sensor in the Canon C70… which is rated by Canon at 16 stops of dynamic range. I would imagine, between the larger sensor and newer technology, we might be looking at 17 to 18+ stops of dynamic range. Real world will be lower, but this might be the first mirrorless to break into 15 to 16 stops in practical use. FYI: Canon has an old video explaining how DGO works. So don’t take my word for it.
It is my understanding that the "Stacked" sensors take simultaneous measurements --- Arris DGO kinda refers to "image stacking" techniques

Joe, I'm looking at a 18 to 200mm zoom lens.So far, the third party lenses have AF but not IS. At full zoom, IS can make the difference. The Canon lens, same spec's has AF and IS. Any comment on the possibility on the other guy's addition of IS?

Air 3S would give me much more sense against Air 4. This is also probably the reason why Air 3 was recently discounted 20%.
