The slab side gsxr 1100 was also incredible. Great handling and performance.
Henry please check out my MK2 ultra violet chopper on my channel unused since 1976 as new condition totally original show winning bike lovely 🏆
When you can prove Allen built the engine, that should double the value.🙂
If you guys break AM, I’m coming for you!
Love when he says “it’s PERFECT”
... Señor Millyard Is Maybe the Least Arrogant Human Ever... Greetings from Saturn 🪐
Thanks Henry Thanks Allen
Congratulations. Your record has been beat. By us. 195.681mph
That's a very impressive top speed, but it looks like your record is over a slightly longer distance. Team Henry
@@HenryColeTV yes but I also beat it in a mile. 186.880 at the 1 mile. Team Scorpio😁
@ScorpioLandSpeedRacing well done! Have you registered your result with Guinness World Records? It's worth doing to make it 'official ' and get it on their database.
@@HenryColeTV I didn't know you could do it after the fact. I read on there web site I had to apply 12 weeks prior for a case# . I will have to go back to the website and double check my self.
@@HenryColeTV also I wanted to say watching your video of your record run was our inspiration. Thank you for posting it and we love your show here in the USA.
Exciting!
What a waste of a good engine, it should be in a classic frame not that useless hacked about frame.
I wish i had a neighbor like Millyard!! 🤩🤩
A standard bike out of the showroom will go faster.......
Can’t find this anywhere to watch , anyone know where I can find full episodes thanks
Hi. The series was originally broadcast on ITV4 and is available on ITVX at www.itv.com/watch/henry-cole's-great-british-treasure-hunt/10a1747 Team Henry
Sam’s amazing, such a likeable & knowledgeable guy. I honestly could sit & watch shed & buried on loop all day & I’ve never even had a a motorbike 🤷🏻♂️
Alan the bike Dr the ultimate dr
I concur. My one was a bastard to start.
Exact job going on !!! LOL🥸
I can't understand why you don't use gasket paper on the crankshaft housing Allan 😮
5:08 Waaaaaaaaat ??!
At 1:25 "to stop any oil from leaking" Then it's not a british bike, sorry.
About eight years ago my buddy sold a gold star engine for 10 grand, no gear box but the motor was a cherry. He dad had bought it or horse traded for it in the seventies and it was rathole away for years, his dad had been gone for about sixteen years before he parted with it. He was still apprehensive to sell it for fear of his father coming back from beyond and chastising him for selling it. True story 👍
That frame really is a lovely piece of craftmanship, but hang on Henry ! - That gearbox isn't an 'Ariel' gearbox, it's a Burman gearbox (as fitted to Ariel, AJS, Matchless etc..) so it was FITTED to an Ariel, not MADE by Ariel !..
Evan from Superbad?
ah maintenance... what we all need is brains, like Allen, innit oh yes
A Goldie.... heaven. Always wanted one...too late now.😂
Should have shown Allen's crankshaft work. Would have been a lot less superficial.
If the world of sheds had an Adrian Newie he would be it.
Great video, a great engineer and watching Junk & Disorderly is wonderful, keep up the good work Henry and Allen!
constant width bead just by crushing the tube in hand.
Brilliant show love it 😊
That’s the wonder of the BSA Goldstar - a true performance engine but so simple!
Leaving pistons in the house on a radiator overnight also works well. Oooh a picture of a Jones crane.
Allen won't be getting much out of that motor, he's fitted a long rod piston to a BB, or mid length rod motor. The distance above the gudgeon height is the giveaway. The ZB Gold Stars have the long rod, and the BB has the mid length rod.
Everybody makes mistakes, even near geniuses, though if the above is correct one would think he'd notice piston position at TDC. The piston was well down in the barrel.
Allen is an absolute genius. What a talented guy
Hes right ....ive had oil rings pop out....the silly piston slide in. ....scored the bore. Arghhhhh
As usual Henry did sofa but took the glory.
Woulda been good without Coles blah blah blah
And this is in between Allens brilliant rebuilding and modification of the Norton Nemesis, incedently when I was a teenager rebuilding my BSA Super Rocket back in the 60s (in the back yard, no garage) I had to use a kettle of hot water to warm the pistons for the gudgeon pins and found supporting the pistons at TDC was quite easy to lower the barrel onto them.

not only is Allen a genius and cake enthusiast but the people he uses to do some of the work are unsung heroes of engineering with very high standards of workmanship
Hands of asbestos...
Well done Allan, The goldie was a great bike but not as good as a Truxton!!
Al the magician is at it again✌
Allen Millyard is the reason you should never judge a book by the cover. I’m not into bikes, but the man is one of the most talented men in Britain. The bikes he builds are amazing
wots that git doing sitting in his deck chair while the others work their buys off
buys=buts
I left a spring off my XR600 engine rebuild. Total strip-down (after a few pints down pub).
I always seem to have extra parts left after a rebuild 🤣
thats why you have a scrap bin
weee bits
Henry please make a film of you and skid and Allen on a proper biker road trip !!!! 👍🏻🏴
Yes mate!! Alan should ride the Norton V8 he is rebuilding!!
@@jonnybamber1772 And Sam
@@jeremymerrifield7244 yes and Sam!! Not seen him in a while!!👍🏻
Allen is a great guy!
the Norton awaits…
