  Did anyone notice how much of the timing on these hits actually syncs with the music beat? I thought it would just be a brief thing but it just kept on jammin' for a while. Was that an intentional edit or some weird but happy coincidence? I actually can't tell 😅

  I'm glad you noticed it cuz I actually make it a *point* to sync the combo hits with the beat of the song to give it that little more "oomph" and soul for the combo vid =P. I do this for all my lil combo vids. It's a mixture of happy accidents (when I'm just making the combo before I even think of video editing) and intent (when I start editing and finding the correct places to space these clips within the song).

  Daaaamn it's been a goood min since I've speedran Oddworld but IIRC, it was a bottle cap glitch where if you just dropped the cap while running off the platform, but _also_ spaced yourself where the bottle cap and you are falling side by side, you get that "landing" effect while in mid air (since for whatever reason, the game detects that battle cap as a platform lol). I used that trick to hover over and to trigger the Slig's "what" condition to stall him. Otherwise, I'd get shot up immediately. It's a very useful glitch where you can also mid air jump. There was some uses I wanted to show off with this game before I just eventually just fell off of it. Thanks for watching tho =).

  @@LucidTUN3S i have also tried to replicate the last slig kill with the dropped grenade on the short platform where you get knocked off your feet and land in mid air then exit to the stockyards. Nope 😂. Great run and thanks for replying btw 👍

  @@platinum_god_games3673 its an extremely precise movement glitch where you space yourself right outside the explosion range, and right before it explodes, you have to make Abe Walk -> Skip Jump right at the very edge of a cliff. You can buffer those two movements together so you will more likely pull the glitch off. Make sure Abe doesn’t leave the ground when you Skip Jump off the ledge.

  @@LucidTUN3S you have some very clever time saving techniques, skilled game play. I'm more of a glitchless player but can appreciate the skill required and the timing of the bomb drop when rolling in to that room is tricky. The bomb can kill you both when you come back 😂, of course it's the very last thing before exiting so if you mess it up it can cost the whole run

  @@platinum_god_games3673 Haha yea, which was why I def made sure my ass practiced tf outta it before doing a run. It does become more consistent when you get a feel for the explosion timing and skip jump buffering and is so worth it for the time saved. I wonder, do people still run this game?

  I love how people complained about the drop dash being useless and now you need it to get an S rank on extreme mode because extreme mode has harder s rank times. Also to unlock extreme mode you need to complete battle rush. It’s part of the dlc.

  @@Ncholasbloom Im not sure which point you're talking about, but there's a speedrun tech called Homing Attack Canceling (or M Boost, I got that name from Twitter) where if you cancel your HA with a boost, you get crazy amounts of speed depending on your angling. You can try that out yourself.

  Im guessing the second time u did that u cancelled the homing attack (at the balloon) with an airboost to keep the HA's momentum?

  @@pixelblitz197 Yup, for whatever reason when you cancel your homing attack with a boost, you just get sent flying way more than you ever should the longer the boost is held down.

  So now I've learned about the M Boost or Homing Cancel but at 0:42 right at the end even at x25 speed I can't tell how you got it off? My boosts there keep landing me on the platform before the end goal. You are a legend, here's a chili dog on me.

  Oh that part ur talking about, i made sure I boosted right as i got off the edge of the platform and held down the boost the whole way (keeping your boost held down while in mid air helps sonic float more) Im thinking about changing that ending route tho because I def know theres gotta be a faster way than just doing that.

  I think with that spiral rail section you have no choice but to go through the whole way since theres nothing to Homing Attack to M Boost through. But ill test that out when i finally get some time to play again.
