    Thank you a million times over for these videos as they are quite comforting as I qill be having to have the surgery this fall as my organinal tests say "suspicious" but they cannot confirm anything until it has been taken out like you. Strange they still do biopsies etc and still cannot determine until it is taken out and chopped into a million pieces in a lab. My thyriod actually works fine they said and so did my blood tests, but the actual biopsies being suspicious, they said we could wait 6 months to a year and get a scan again and see, but I am not willing to take that chance and want it out asap. Mine is 3.8 cm so smaller than yours actually which is crazy. But I will need both sides out. So will be on thyriod meds after that forever. It is a better alternative than tge other thing if ya know what I mean. So thank you for all your feedback on this journey it truly helps me be brave ❤

    Hey! I just came from your video on childhood signs of EDS, I’m 13 and me, my family, and my doctors have speculated I could have it, especially considering it runs in the family and your video really helped me. Watching it I realized how many things I’ve experienced from the EDs criteria. My toes and finger turn white in the cold so Reynolds, I am nauseous all the time, I’m always either too hot or too cold nowhere in between, my hips pop constantly, my shoulders subluxate, I’m hyper mobile and a few other things. Anyhoo the reason I’m commenting is that the small chance you see this I was wondering if you could tell me if I’m just really unathletic or if u had these symptoms too and it turned out to be POTS. Whenever I go up and down stairs I get really winded and feel my heart rate go way wayyy up and it takes a while for it to go back down and for me to catch my breath. Sometimes when I stand up I have to sit back down immediately because I get dizzy and I see spots or my eyesight just blacks out. Also I take a sport and things that are easy for other kids my age I get out of breath fast and dizzy and sometimes blackout too. The reason I’m not sure this is POTS thought it because I’ve never fainted or passed out, even though it’s felt like I might before. Thanks for putting EDS and chronic illness content out by the way, it means a lot to me because my aunt has a really severe case of EDS and POTS and much more and she’s been through so much and she’s love your channel. Sorry this wasn’t quite about this video, I just thought you’d be more likely to see this comment here. Thanks ❤

    Glad to see you again!🙂 Thank you for telling us you were joking, I actually thought you were serious. I don’t know if it’s because your humor is different and you joke differently being British-especially with your tone and mannerisms, or if it’s just my brain fog, but I can never tell if you are joking or not.😅 I’m glad I’m not alone in not being able to do crafts. For me it takes a lot of energy and effort (other things like showering are a bit easier for me than for others- everyone is different). I have been saying how much I miss coloring, I can’t because it hurts my hands to hold the pencils and sitting up. I can never find the time to do hobbies I enjoy because I’m using the energy for something else or I’m resting. I did manage to make bracelets with my sisters yesterday and I had so much fun! I recommend jewelry making because you can buy beautiful cheap beading sets online and you can do it in bed while lying down. It still takes energy, but it is an easier craft. Another thing that might be helpful if you are wanting to paint is buying a water brush. It’s a paintbrush that holds water inside it so you don’t have to constantly dip your brush into water and also risk a spill. You could buy a paint brush cleaner too. I was wondering if you or anyone else has any advice on hEDS?I got diagnosed in February, and I continue to get worse. I’ve never dislocated anything but I have subluxations constantly, and they continue to worsen and spread to other joints. I’m worried I’m going to start dislocating. Is there anything I can do to help prevent subluxations? My therapist mentioned exercises but I can’t do those as of now due to low energy. Sorry for the long comment.🫠

    As a general rule of thumb, KZread would never pay a KZreadr with less than 10K subscribers £1million haha 😂 & thank you so much, I’m so glad you got to make bracelets with your sister & enjoyed it ☺️ were they normal bracelets or did you do the viral Taylor Swift style ones? ☺️

    @@GeorginasJourney No I’m not a Swiftie. I do use the same beads (clay beads), but I found that glass beads are the easiest to use. Kits usually come with string,beads,charms, and sometimes scissors. The only extra I buy is glue to seal the knot. I love making them for myself but also for family,friends, or even caretakers and doctors. I can’t help them physically so being able to make something is nice.

    @@ruby3200 ah nice! For instability, most people will just recommend splints, braces, KT tape or physio, for the most part, or if you’re particularly worried about a joint, you could ask your dr if you need to be referred to a specialist who can assess whether surgery is needed

  • @ruby3200
    @ruby3200Күн бұрын

    @@GeorginasJourney Do those things help with subluxations and popping/cracking or just dislocations? Unfortunately there is no one near me that specializes in EDS so I feel kind of lost and confused about it and don’t really know what to do about symptoms, especially weird ones. It’s like I mention it to doctors and they don’t give me an actual answer whether or not my symptoms are from EDS, and what to do about it. I try to do research online and still feel like I come out empty without answers. 😣It’s starting to frustrate me. Thanks for the advice.🧡

    Ouch Ouch Ouchie. They are a blessing but I still dreaded using them. I imagine it is easier for women as the catheter is very short. At home though if you drop one you can wash it with soap and water, then use it. You can also buy the inexpensive latex gloves pharmacy grade to use when inserting the catheter. When you are young you never imagine having to carry a catheter bag, or a diaper bag when you are an adult.

    It’s actually worse for women as we can’t see where to put it & so it’s so painful prodding around. For most, what you described is a recipe for superbugs & many have needed bladder removal surgery from superbugs sadly too. Yes, no fun at all!

    RDA or recommended daily allowances are only enough to keep you from getting scurvy. I take about a 1000 mg to 2 g of fish oil, primrose oil, and borage oil day and you can take 2 or 3000 mg of Vit C a day easily and when you're sick your body needs more.

    Im 23, pursuing Masters and Professional course together, im suffering with stomach erosions, skin rashes, GERD and h pylori infection from past 3 years , in the beginning I got misdiagnosed and wrong diet was suggested to me which eventually made my symptoms worse, once I was the most active student in the class, college topper and had a lot of friends, now people ask me why i lost weight, they pity me, tell me that I dont trust God enough to cure me, i lost all my friends as i couldn't meet them often, honestly nobody truly understand your problems until and unless somebody goes through the same shit as you, i avoid meeting and talking to people as i look pale and keep bringing up stuff i dont want to hear.. Its important for you to know that Google doesn't always say true facts, if anybody say that stomach related problems are temporary and goes of in just few months- thats a huge lie!! The truth is it takes lot of patience, right medications and very bland, baby like diet, for years to cure it completely.. Right now i am again on Ayurvedic treatment and diet, Im on blad liquid diet only for 5 months now.. I hardly get enough energy to study, slowly getting better tho, my doctor told me that i need another 6-7 months to be ok again and cure this, he sounded promising tho.. I have exams coming up as well, Im saying all this because I want you people to know, i understand your pain, you will be fine again, focus on things you can control, you can change nothing by overthinking your past or future, listen to your body, give it what it needs, love your organs which are hurt or not working well, treat them as a hurt pet which needs your love and care, whatever you cant control leave it in God's hands and forgive and let go your trauma and past mistakes..God makes all things beautiful again "In His time", Right now be consistent in your studies and do your best.. God bless you❤

    Sister have you tried going down a size if it's painful going and it's usually too big I had the same problem it caused a lot of inflammation and swelling and pain and then painful spasming as stream an emptyingcomes to an end. The catheter you are using as an example looks very big like the size that they automatically give everybody once I switch down to a 12 French everything was perfect. I do believe in theory that when it's too big you end up starting to build up scar tissue the reason I think this happens is because the holes in the end of the catheter scrape the skin as they're going in and then you end up getting swelling and inflammation and the more swelling than the more the holes in the catheter scrape. Another thing that helps is some brands are quite stiff for the straight catheters the one that I settled on has a slight curve and is very flexible so it's able to follow whatever curves especially because a lot of times we don't realize that we actually always put it in at an angle from the actual urethra pathway that can also cause swelling the brand that I use is in infyna chic
