    Yay! Another person who envisioned the stable as soon as they saw it! The turnouts are a combination of Solitude stone walls and Redguard fences. The problem I hadn't thought through being that the Redguard Fence only comes in one size and doesn't do corners or curves. *headdesk* All the items in this build were off the store, since this is my E.U. server character and she hasn't really been played. (when the PTS is for the NA server, I tend to have a lot more options).

    @@itsQuesoPH Nah, the Moon-Blessed Ceremonial Pool is from Elsweyr and is much smaller. This is the Firesong Sping, Basalt from the achievement furnisher in Galen. (I had to look it up, because I've just been mentally calling them my Druid pools, and totally forgot what the actual name was, haha!).It's large enough that the edges are "hidden" inside the house, beyond the wall and by some rocks, leaving just the water to show, so it's hard to identify and looks more like something that's meant to be there.

  • @itsQuesoPH
    @itsQuesoPHАй бұрын

    @@Kessira26A Yep, figured that out just now since you said its from High Isle Druid, so I searched for the Pool that can be Scry lol, and yeah just got the Moon-Blessed and its really small. So I had to check this comment again for replies XD

  • @Kessira26A
    @Kessira26AАй бұрын

    @@itsQuesoPH I honestly have used both together multiple times, because the Moon-Blessed Pool has a lighting effect/sorta misty looking light projected up into the air above it, so sinking it into other water features can make it look like the water is glowing/magical, or in the case of my Mermaid house, it looked like light shining down through the water from above. (I used the Druid pools in the ceiling to make it look like that was the surface of the water above.).

  • @Kessira26A
    @Kessira26AАй бұрын

    Mmmm, I've never run into that exact problem before, but I have had stuff shift. Like, when you log in the next day there's suddenly a gap in the wall (you've created) that wasn't there before, or something that you spent great time aligning perfectly with something else is askew. Now it's easy to just miss something is askew if you don't run all the way around it. Different angle can make things look dramatically different, but I've had stuff move slightly often enough that I know for sure was aligned correctly from all angles, that I believe it has something to do with how it saves the info for your house. So now I blame it all on that, when really the stuff moving is a rare occurrence and my missing something being askew is a common one, haha!

    Can you tell us how you built your kitchen?

  • @Kessira26A
    @Kessira26AАй бұрын

    Sure, so starting at the back, I used two Fargrave doorframes and doors to make my freezer/fridges. Some snow on the bottom and some shelving and a whole bunch of appropriate food type items and they look logical enough. I used a dwarven...it's either an alcove or a hearth, I don't remember which, and stuck a Leyawin firepit in that and then framed it with two of the Redguard grills (found under counters rather than lighting sources). I used some various Leyawin cabinetry all around for cupboards, etc. The long counter with the sink. I used the watertrough for the water in the sink, the new Redguard fountain (that still hasn't shown up on the live server, not sure when that will appear), two of them in fact and then I used the Fargrave Decorative wall sunk into the floor as my "counter". not the best actually as it was too long and awkward, but I wanted something that matched the stone colors around. A few more cabinets and counters and some food stuffs and there you have it...Kitchen. Let me know if you have any questions about any particular item that I used and I'm happy to try and identify.

    Also no way provided for people to get up on those towers in the first place, to use it as high ground (though I suppose they could use boards to get over then pull them across after themselves. The curious thing to me is...what are they supposed to be protecting here? There are towns on either side, were they at war and this was just a really awkward pass? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love it for it's building potential, with all it's weirdness, but it's just odd. I must say though, people have built some REALLY impressive fortifications there, using the pre-existing walls as a start.

I didn't even know you could do half of the things you did it blew me away!! The home decorating in this game has so much freedom and that was soo surprising to me! You mentioned you're in a housing guild, I know this vid is a little old but I would be so so interested in something like that. Any tips on where to get the floors and walls to close up areas like you did with the top floor? Again, amazing work!!!

    Do you play on PC and are you on the NA server? If so let me know your user name and I'll send you a friend request. I'm always looking for more housing friends! :D The walls and floors are all made from in-game recipes. You will run across them while adventuring, so whenever you do, "use" them to learn the recipe and once your crafting is leveled high enough you'll be able to make a lot of the stuff yourself. Sometimes the daily quests in an area will drop housing recipes for the area, sometimes the style material needed and sometimes both!. Newer area recipes show up quite a lot on the Guild Auctions and you don't have to be part of the Guild to use their auctions and buy stuff, just go to one of the guild stores/booths and search for what you need. The event that just ended (the Anniversary Event) is a great source of these recipes and also Armor styles. Also has anyone told you about the Lux Furnisher yet? There is a yearly rotating list of items available at this furnisher that you can't get otherwise (unless someone is reselling them at the auction). He shows up on the weekends in Coldharbor.

    Not that I know of? There are some new furnishings here that are only available on the PTS though. I try and use the new furnishings I find in my builds, so that people get a chance to see them in use and get a general idea of size, etc. The new stuff (which will show up on the real live servers eventually) was mostly outdoor/tree's and plants sorta things. The new lichen "shrubs" in three sizes, some new weeping Willow Tree's and swampy type shade tree's. Some new tree stumps and some new lily pads and Water Lilies, the new Redgard Fountain (a really nice replacement "sink" for the previous Alinor single one we all used) a crate with some tomatoes in it including one cut in half, and a new fish. Some other new shrubs. Compared to some of the previous updates, there's not a lot, but some of it is nice and will be useful.

    Haha, I find building on the PTS server a bit faster, as I don't have to craft what I need, or go hunt down crafting supplies for what I need. It seriously speeds up the building process. Still, it took me over a day to finish Willowpond (Friday for the cave build and Saturday for the windows house) and then I built Sword-Singer on Sunday, well that's not entirely factual. I stayed up Saturday night trying to build an above ground house in Sword-Singer, failed utterly, due to the blowing dust and threw up my hands and logged off, then came back with a new plan on Sunday, haha!

    If no one has clued you in about it yet. Every weekend starting Friday (5 pm for PST for me), the Luxe Furnisher shows up in Coldharbor. He's got different stuff available every week and it won't be available again until the next year, but it's a great place to get pretty glowy plants/flowers and pretty trees that otherwise aren't available. Also a wide selection of other furniture and housing items, some of them quite huge (like the Alinor Greenhouse, the Alinor Windmill, The Redguard Archway, Orcish Gazebo, etc). You can even find a general sorta schedule for them if you look online, but there are certain holiday theme'd offers that throw the general order off. For new players getting into housing it can be a gold mine....or a huge gold sink....the items are pretty spendy, especially if you are getting more than one, haha! But they definitely give you a lot more options for building, so I wanted to throw it out there!

    It would make so much difference. You can never really fully FILL a space the way it would be if it was lived in. I often skip the small items entirely, even though I have them and would love to use them, because I'm just out of slots.

    @@Kessira26A Agreed and it just seems like the houses keep getting BIGGER. Who is designing these things?

    @@andyd3447 Obviously not the same person assigning slot limits! Haha! One of the things that irks me no end, is that you have the load screen for each house, and it often shows it decorated. I've counted the decorations present in that load screen for some of them and...yeah, the rest of the house/apartment/etc must be empty. Hahaha! I still just regularly hope they will start selling slot packs. Like...sell them in packs of 50 or 100. Ideally this would count for all your homes, but even if it was just one...let us buy enough to properly decorate! It would be a great money maker for them and if there are concerns about slow load times for houses...yeah. Not sure if you've tried to load into a house where the person has every glowy, shiny, swirly thing in game, but it already takes forever for that, so I'm not sure what difference it would make if it was a bit slower to load, but we got to decorate to our hearts content.

    It looks nice, but impractical. Salt water splash in rough waters would murder your plants.

    Highly impractical, haha. Then again, this goes for most of my builds. Trees growing out of solid rock, indoor plantings with no light source, buildings floating without proper support, highly unlikely plumbing oh, oh, and open flame light sources that would clearly catch things on fire! I frequently get all hand-wavy to ignore these things to go for aesthetic instead, haha!
