Founded by the Moonbright Scholars, the Wayfarer Inn is the scholars solution to the bad land deal they found themselves in. Their "location close to a major trade hub on the coast of Summerset" turned out to be a cursed cavern on the coast with frequent visits by pirates at smugglers, not an ideal place to build the grand library and school they intended. So they built high in the dome of the grotto, using magic bridges and a good view of the surrounding ocean to protect themselves. The inn is open to friendly pirates and smugglers as well as good tradesmen and sailors and the occasional vacationers and gives the scholars the funds they need to eventually build the grand library and school they originally planned.
