What name of the app?
Nice vid, thanks. For the next time, if you wish us to guess the tracks, hide the file name 😅
I don't think I'm spelling this right but that short explanation of "tombral cohesion" is going to be a game changer for me and I really appreciate it. It just makes so much sense and I ALWAYS get stuck with a lingering idea in my head of "WHAT OTHER SOUNDS CAN I ADD" and nothing new will sound good as if my track is fully saturated (but I trust my ear and there's always little details missing), but rearranging the puzzle with the same pieces is the lightbulb I needed to go off. Not only that but I was running out of things to "search for" so a new topic of study is going to lead to so many new techniques. thank you so much
Knowing chords is of course good, but knowing the scale and degrees, you can easily write down the necessary chords in any key.
I saw somewhere a video where the kick was just kissing the limiter and was also brought down to -12db and you add some drive just before the eq. Anyway I got this habit of setting my kick at -12db. Cool stuff
“nUmbEr 4 wIlL cHanGE yoUr MixEs fOrEveR”
What program is this in which is the remix?
Great question, I use Ableton Live
legend
Thank you, I am glad you liked it! 🙂🙏🏻🙌🏻
Love your stuff Will. This is purely a question, I hope the tone isn't lost in text. But, along with your tutorials, do you have any songs, production credits or remixes etc, to your name? Just curious. We all know the saying, if you can't 'do', teach :P I was just wondering, it would add a lot of credence to the videos.
Could I send you a demo mix for some feedback? What to fix etc 🙌🏼
Chills
Amen Broooo
😎🙏
Hell yeah Will. Again a wonderful tutorial. You're the best in what you do. It's like no EDM-subgenre is too hard for you to explain. Do you attend ADE this year?
I appreciate that! Yeah, I’ll be there 👍
Best tips on KZread . Hopefully you still doing your courses
Thank you! Yes, I am :)
Multi plugin windows is not working

Thank you! I will for as long as I’m able!
Hell yeah!
Appreciate it! 🙂🙏🏻🙌🏻
Here’s me playing along, guessing the tracks. Little did I know, you named the projects with the exact track name. 😂 Still, I got a few of them right just using my ears so I’m pleased. 😊
Oops! 😬 🤦♂️
"oh Behave !"
😂 Cheers!
Still wondering why I need to learn this. Kind of a misleading video.
A small tip to all the newbies / intermediate producers out there Every minor key signature has a major counterpart and vice versa... The fourth note in a minor scale is always going to be the major counterpart... It's a good thing to know so you could understand exactly what you're doing with the emotions... you want to avoid putting a chord on a fourth if you're in a minor scale because again it's the exact opposite emotion of the key and it could mess up that down and sad sound of a minor key. But remember it's all experimental.. It could or could not work.. Experiment and see what you like.
Great points!
You are right Will! Great tune, you should finish it. 👍 😃
cheers, Drew! I hope I can one day soon 🙂🙏🏻🙌🏻
drop isn't enough catchy
Thanks for the feedback!
Hey Will, little bit confused here. When you were doing the piano chords you said you thought the track was in D but then chose the C Major, isn't A minor the reciprocal of C Major? So if it's in D minor would the reciprocal be F Major? Does that then make the first chord an A minor with the 4th and 6th put down an octave?
This is awesome, but can you, please, maybe make a separate tutorial for making interesting sounds with stock Ableton wavetable, analog, operator? Is it possible to get similar results (or at least very close) using them ? Thank you so much! Greetings from Israel
really glad to subscribe to EDM tips. super instruction.
Just wanted to drop a thank you mate. Awesome work, awesome talent, awesome passion. Watching your videos is a treat.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support! 🙂🙌🏻
SUS chords i guess are also "dirty chords" can add emotion.
Dirty chords 😂 Love it!
Man the comment section is full of toxic people, I think the tutorial is great they haven’t heard enough of Boris to know a bird poop clue
Thank you so much for your kind words, Mike 🙂🙏🏻
@3:50 sixteenth then two sixteenths and one more sixteenth - everybody say after me very rapidly a couple of "sixteenths"😀, perhaps sixteen times :D you mastered it though Will
Haha, the magic is in the sixteenths 😂 Thanks for watching!
Very useful !!! thanks for all <3
You’re welcome, glad you liked it! 🙂🙌🏻
Prima di tutto Black Coffee non fa Afro House e Deep House, credo voi youtuber dovete prendere una direzione unica quella che non siete dei professionisti.
Care to elaborate more as a professional?
We need some Big Room Techno from you Will.
Great suggestion! It's been a while :)
"From scratch"ed off your whole beard Will! 🤭
The chords were so emotional I literally CRIED it off!
Totally understand bro. Stay strong 💚💪
Shite bass line
❤️
Yes I found this super helpful, thanks, I started using space in my chords to give it groove in trance, great tips
Grt work sir
Thank you!
8:34 I use that tech too! Just proves how well it works. Thanks for the vid!
You’re welcome! Glad you liked it 🙂🙏🏻🙌🏻
absolute gold content, includes a lot from sound design to daw from genre specific information to mixing techniques. Thank you!
You’re welcome!
8:26 To be exact, this tune obviously is in key of D-minor (I III VI VII). Of course, chords stay the same 'cos it's parallel to F-major, but this certainly gravitates more to Dm than F.
Thanks for the info!
Will, THE man! <3
Cheers, glad you liked it! 🙂
nice video awesome 🙌
Thank you 😁 Glad you found it helpful! 🙌🏻
came in at the right time - love it
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching and supporting 🙏

Dang, got a subscriber out of me
Well, looks like I've done my job then! 😉 Thanks for subscribing and I hope you continue to enjoy the content! 🙌🏻
@@EDMTips absolutely! Would you mind pointing me to the video that you’ve talked about before about arranging?
Now, here is one for you then, bearing in mind I know nothing about this AI stuff right. I have a nice Karaoke system at home, but my voice sucks. I want to make it sound much better with AI, can I do that. I don't want to mess around with the music, don't want to mess with those DAW things, I cant understand them. So, what should I do then, anyone?
Do what I do - do not use Karaoke :) And yes, you can make your voice sound much better with AI, a lot has changes since I made this video :)
Playa
Cheers!
I'm surprised the whole video isn't just "sound selection" lol
I am glad I still can surprise someone 😁
