I had to watch this b4 i played the game im rdyyy
@@s_sanny have fun!
My switch otome gets longer and longer every year
@@cel9294 happy otome times 🥳
The art is very beautiful in this game ❤
Played Code:Realize in one fell swoop with all three games. The first game felt like an insanely long common route and the fandisks were the actual romantic routes. Fell in love with the game after I played the second fandisk! It is so much more romantic!
@@morganrowland377 thanks for telling me! Maybe I should give the FDs a try then, as the characters are quite charming 😊
@@LinLinLavender I’m so glad! Some of the characters really surprised me with how well they bonded with Cardia! Especially Van Helsing! I even liked the Christmas game because it was all Hallmark goodness with sci-fi 😂
Thank you so much for covering this! ☺️ Will you review Celestia Chain of Fate when it releases in September? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! 🫶
@@dreamer24-79 you're welcome! I mainly review Japanese Switch titles, so probably not, sorry!
a lot more isekai before familiar of zero were more coded otome , but sword art and jobless reincarnation turned the genre of isekai mostly one male and many females harem
Thank you so much for review! I love your voice so much! ❤❤❤
@@user-pr6sm2zi1t you're welcome! Naw, thank you 💕
While the concept sounds interesting, it saddens me that more and more companies seem to choose the money-making over story-telling. And uh, ROMANCE! The situation's also a lot, and I mean a LOT worse in the mobile otome scene, although with some exceptions. While a well-written visual novel is likely to keep me interested even if the gameplay is non-existent, I still prefer to have at least a bit of gameplay. Hakuouki took some time to get into, even if I'm a history nerd, simply because the first playtime didn't quite grab my full attention. But once I get into the game (read as: once I finally looked up a walktrough guide), I started really enjoying it. But even then, I tend to prefer the stat-rising kinda gameplay.
@@aino-kaisav5504 many others seem to love the game though! I would also appreciate if gameplay otome games got localisations...
Heroine with glasses, kuudere, maid! Ahhh just seeing Rose feels like love!!!
Another tsundere voiced by THE Suzuki Ryouta?? Count me in!!!
When I saw this game, I VIVIDLY remember reading this manga since the "Villainess Protag" was on the rise and I was shocked to see a game adaptation and was SO excited. But its a shame about how the game got a poor review, and I think the manga and its ending is a bit better. Could give it a try if I had the time
@@nightmode2222 definitely give it a try! It's a super cute game! Maybe try the demo and see if you can live with the English translation?
@@LinLinLavender Sure! Please give more recommendations in the future 🙏 🙏 🙏
this is so interesting since on diff platforms I've seen a lot of people having varying perspectives on the game so if Ill prob still give it a shot and give my own take once it is localized I believe in 2025? Art and character designs r just too good I'm afraid but I would like to see how some routes attempt to challenge gender roles, norms, and societal structures bc I heard world building is good and maybe it is at least somewhat addressed? the childhood friend route seems insane tho but I appreciate diff reviewers perspectives bc I heard from some ppl his route was the best so who knows
@@loventaes always good to get some more opinions! Yes, I think there will be a Chinese localisation Perspectives are so different! Hope you'll enjoy it!
Can you recommend any good pc or phone otome game for a beginner? I m 30+ so something with smarter fl and not in a school setting ❤
@@AnastasiaMeng love and deepspace? Lovebrush Chronicles?
@@LinLinLavender thanks, I will try
The thumbnail was hot af.
the villainess isekai genre is so great, it's wonderful. but ah, i do wish these adaptations would be more ambitious sometimes, especially as this one's book series is already popular... Thank you for the review. This game seems cute but I do wish it had more.
@@ichi_san absolutely! It's still a cute game I recommend on sale and in Japanese 😁
I'm still playing Cupid parasite and have yet to play Allan or the Secret Route. (Halfway through Raul's. For now, my favorite character is Shelby 😄 He is sweet and caring ❤
I'm headed to Japan for the 1st time for 2 weeks this October. I hope I'm able to visit one of these stores while I'm there and take advantage of the low currency exchange rate.
Have fun! Hope you'll have a wonderful time and bring some extra bags for the merch
This video really pumped up my motivation! I'm not learning Japanese but Mandarin (I will apply the principles laid out for my own language learning journey) and I'm really grateful you put out this video!
@@Trisuku so happy to hear this! I do the same with mandarin honestly! Good luck to you 🥳
I can't with this coincidence! I just finished playing the game last night (took me ~20 hours) and I totally feel you on the missed opportunities! And the system! It was driving me crazy! Like, I have to scroll 5 times to see every CG from just ONE volume? When they would fit perfectly on just one screen??? It also takes like 5 hours to get all the alternative endings with no proper skip option? Just _why_ would they make us suffer so much! We are already miserable since we didn't get to date Keith! (still enjoyed the sugar overload and would play it again XD)
@@Arukuno what a coincidence! The system really is awful 🤣 Honestly same! Whenever I need sugar I know where to go! Do you have any favourite scenes?
Which port is this? Switch, PC?
Switch only. There is no regular pc ports for otmt games for years.
What games were shown at the start of the video?
Absolutely brilliant video, Lin. Thanks for saving me from buying this game. 😅👍
@@gamewrit0058 thank you, that's so nice of you to say! 💕 You're welcome 😁
This game was with operahouse their localizations aren’t very good cause they also made Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku in that game the localization was a mess
11:50 "in pain and exhausted." I bet the actors were after reading the script. 🤦♂️
@@gamewrit0058 they certainly did a good job 😅
Hmm, should I give this one another chance, and play it myself? 🤔 I watched most of it on yt, and most, if not all, of the endings. I also liked Shiba in Butterfly's Poison - and Yang in Piofiore, and Ignis in Café Enchanté, and Harada in Hakuoki. . . 🤔 Hmm. 😅 I think I said somewhere a while ago that I thought that Butterfly's Poison dragged - but that might be because I was impatiently binge watching it, and it frustrated me that the MC didn't follow up on certain clues when she said she would, but instead much later, often immediately followed by a bad ending. And while most of the bad endings are written pretty well, I hadn't anticipated some of them happening exactly when they did - I've learned I need game guides to remain satisfied. Plus, I'd watched it soon after watching Nightshade (still my favorite Otome), and Nightshade's MC, Enju, is a Shinobi on the run, so it's a very different era, situation, and skill set. I do enjoy the Taisho era setting ,too, though. My two favorite routes were Shiba's best ending, and then that one ending where the MC ends up a feared and ruthless (redacted) in (redacted). 😁 Badass.
@@gamewrit0058 sometimes you need to be in the mood for a special game, so no harm in trying it again? On the other hand, if you don't feel like it, there are a lot of other amazing games
Suwabe has the sexiest voice😍😍😍 I also felt really bad for goemon.
@@zuul81 he has! 🤤 Right? Oh well, lucky Aquasteed 😅
I love your shirt❤
@@ojyochan thanks 🥰
I'm working my way through the prologue of this game. Watching the MC's mero-mero powers activate for the first time and see the boys flirt with her shamelessly was such a delight! I'm a sucker for a tsundere, so I think I'll be playing Sasuke first. Or maybe even Kamakiyo. The premise reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club. Except Haruhi is now a kunoichi in training and majority of the boys in her class fall in love with her. X3
@@evafan24 it's the greatest premise ever right? 😁 All of the boys are great, you can't go wrong 😍
10:15 LOL, wishing to become a bug before he screams in a kiss scene. THANK YOU for including this, and all your thoughts, before I blithely went into this game blind. 😅 I think I'll skip it. Excellent use of that cat footage in the intro. 🥰🐾🐱
@@gamewrit0058 thank you 🥰 I played it because it's a classic, but yeah not for everyone I think
