My Rockford P1000 x 5 and P3D2 are fucking gangster! Thank you for everything Jim!!!!
Such a amazing story
I still have my Team America denim jacket
I remember replacing the batteries on the Blastrovan that Creative Marketing owned back in the early 90's with 4 Power 1000's when I worked at Progressive Audio in Gladstone MO.
Classic reminds me of the old PPI amps small but powerful and no distortion. i once dropped my Orion 2150 to half an ohm it almost broke my windows lol
Linear Power amplifiers at 10:50.
This is a work of art never gets old
🥹sooooo nice this Story....Heartmelting...🫠

I'm 53 I've followed Mark Fukuda for years, his craftsmanship is untouchable.
Not much coverage about car :/
I have a symmetry epx now....🥳🥳🥳 Waht a great feeling after sooooo many years of dreaming 🤩🤩🤩 Deep in Love 🤣🤣🤣
I Owe ALOT OF my Youth / teenage/ HS days to Jim Fosgate... to which he kept me in the Car audio Game... from my Punch 150 n 10" series 1 subs..to Now a 4-15s and Punch 1000s door full of T2 n T1 6.5"... LETS GOOoo...🔊💣💣🔊
2024 and they still legends in that car audio world...Appreciate all the work and inspiration they gave us all...RF4L..🔊💣💣🔊

Reminds me of Shaq's Van of Def.
I hand wrote a letter to him using the only street address I could find. This was at least 10 years ago but I still recall the disappointment I felt when it was returned, address unknown. Wish I could have met him, and shook his hand.
The Fosgate PR250 "The Punch" 3 knob preamp unit was the least fussy and best addition to my system, then and now. That is, once I tapped my amp for the 17.5V +/- power . Every other preamp EQ that I tried, sounded boomy and harsh. RIP, Mr. Fosgate.
Definitely A Legend!!!!
Do you work on Sony CD HU's by chance? Specifically, CDX-4040, NIB but CD mechanism just constantly acts as if it is trying to eject a non-existent CD. I have the Sony schematic, I know these can have leaky caps but I haven't looked inside yet, not that caps should affect the CD mechanism.
Way beyond a work of art.
I never knew the connection between the Fosgate name and Pro Logic II. Excellent video for the audio enthusiast to see.
True innovator and great documentary on his struggles and his accomplishments. Enjoyed this very much and thanks for sharing.
This is the GOAT car audio installation, IMO
Wowsers, just like factory new!
Wow… now I know who the real person was behind “surround sound” and “pro logic 2” What an amazing audio elite and amazing story behind this true genius. I can only imagine how much the value would be to still have working pieces of his audio art that he first produced as Fosgate then as Fosgate Audionics
Surround sound goes back to 1930's 🤷♂️
Just realised what O.S.C.A.R stood for lol😅😅😅😅
Wowwwwwwwsers what a work of art!!!!! Is this an old demo van or did owner/builder buy all these beautiful pieces from collectors bc EVERYTHING looks brand new🎉🎉🎉🎉
The best a far as I know.
Thanks for my thought.
🫡 salut mark fukuda
🤓 goosebumps everytime i watch this Van, all over the Years... 🤓
My all time sound-off hero Mark Fakuda.👍
I sent you an inquiry for some work on a few old Punch amps last night 👍🏼
I wish his yellow Blazer with the 16 15's and 4 power 1000's was still around also.Thing was a beast in the early 90's
I thought Mark was rebuilding it
@@MrSchmidthead I don't know, haven't read or heard anything about it
It was so clever and adorable how he convinced the car salesmen how to come listen to his frequency Energizer.
Awesome 👌
I love how women came in and made things work. Sure, Jim was the genius, but the women in his life stepped in to make things work and work well. 😉
Women don't build they move in 🤷♂️
Wow. I've been a fan of Jim's for a long long time. But this deep dive is all new to me. Btw, I'm here because I just purchased Jim's personal FAP V1 tube surround sound decoder. It's just fascinating to me to that Jim's technology is still kicking around in the latest Atmos matrix decoding technology that is currently owned by Dolby. I was hoping to hear more about his thoughts on matrix surround decoding, but I guess this is more of a car oriented channel? At any rate, it's still wonderful to hear from both the man himself and those that were close to him. We miss you, Jim! 😕
Well, I'm made of jealousy.
Was introduced at the age of 13 in 1989 by my late uncle Robert. PUNCH !! Have had many brands. Jl audio, kicker, mtx, american bass! For the price value and quality Rockford fosgates i always fell back too. I just had a p300 12 put in my new 23 civic hatch sounds so pretty with my midsn highs! This man and his family worked hard !! Had no clue how hard he worked and the ingenuity he had!! Ty from South Mississippi!! R/F !!!!!
Now knowing the story of this humble man, the theater I have built in my home has a little bit more meaning to me.
I need to know what order the cards go in etc! I need documentation for my system!
Message me on here I’ll get you’ll tell you what you need to know and do
