    Hey Hunter! Are you still going to continue shooting with the Fuji? I'm guessing that for pro work you only use Sony...I'm asking because currently I also have a fuji xt4 and I was going to buy the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 lens until I saw that Sony is releasing A7V soon. And now this lens just came out which made me want to switch to Sony even more lol. Since you have both, Fuji apsc and Sony full frame cameras I wanted to ask your thoughts on the pros and cons of switching to full frame. Maybe that would even be a great video for the channel. Thanks :)

  • @hunterhart1
    @hunterhart116 сағат бұрын

    The 27mm 1.2 and the 18mm 1.4 are my favorite lenses for the Fuji system. But I got tired of Fuji performing poorly with things I wanted as a pro photographer, like autofocus and lowlight for example. I have showed so much Fuji work on KZread to prove that you dont need the full frame + most expensive new things on the market to take great photos. Gear will never make you a better photographer and that’s a fact. As far as Fuji vs Sony, in my opinion Sony is better at everything but the colors and the feel of the camera. I prefer to shoot Fuji based off of feel but I am shooting Sony based off of results. So now I shoot only one Fuji camera and I only use it for trips and things. This is only my opinion, doesn’t make it right. Don’t hurt yourself spending money you shouldn’t, I tell people this ALL THE TIME. Thanks for watching and subbing

    @@nicklopro I bought it from a friend after using it a few times (great experience, great camera) and he happened to have the 40mm and the frame lines are for 40mm and a few other focal lengths. What a great overview, thank you! This is the lens I would buy a GFX body for - this and the TTArtisan 90 f1.25. Beautiful images, gorgeous character, heavy, yes, but I usually run a 4.5+ kg ciné rig handheld, so it's all relative 😉 The focus throw looks like 180 degrees which seems a good compromise. Most of my manual ciné glass is around 300 degrees, which I've got used to for taking stills too, so if anything 180's a bit short ha ha. Love the flares and colour rendition from this, time to start saving!

    And is this truth, actually its a zoom lens. Because you have this crop functions (windows) and with the 60MP pixels you can crop to like 50mm or 70mm and thats the same like using a 50mm or 70mm lens. Am I right?

  • @hunterhart1
    @hunterhart19 күн бұрын

    It’s digitally cropping just like in the X100V series. I wouldn’t call it a zoom because the optics don’t change, there for the compression doesn’t change or focal length. Essentially it’s the same thing as cropping in post but it does it for you in camera. Thanks so much for watching, great question.

    I just have the 18-50 2.8 zoom lens for now and considering this together with the Viltrox 27 1.2 to cover the 23-35 focal range. Sure it's both the same focal length and I could also get a 23 1.4 and a 35 f2 or vice versa, but this is so much cheaper and gives me one image quality monster and one really light snapshot lens for situations where you don't want to scare people with a bigger lens. It's under €700 for both together, a single 23/33 1.4 by Fuji is more than that

  • @hunterhart1

    Hello, I also love Sigma Art lenses. I have been using Nikon flagship cameras, since the late 1980s, but, always used two lens brands, Nikon and Sigma. Currently, I own 19 lenses, 10 are Sigma Art. Since mirrorless, I I use megadaptor adaptors, since they re-introduced aperture rings, I have stocked up with up to date releases. Aperture rings, are a photographic must for my ultra fulfilment, as I enjoy taking pictures as much as the end results. Only just seen your channel, I have subscribed and think it’s great!
