Well done, Emily. _. You speak wisdom, and many of your suggestions and advice go into my big Golden Book of knitting! Colour work socks ( Mudo ) and Lanark Sweater are very inspiring. Daisy Sweater is so ‘out-of-this-world’ that I can’t even find words to comment.

Knitting with your program playing. _. At some point, my hands stopped working when I heard you say: ‘ I have so good memories of knitting those while touring in England. My dad was driving me around everywhere. I was knitting on the back seat with my mother seated beside me.’ My God My God ! Lovely memories indeed. That is entirely part of the knitting experience.

I actually have the same issue with Rebecca’s patterns - the back neck sits really low and if I pull it down in front there is too much fabric at the front. I was thinking of making the back raglan cast on smaller and then increasing it more rapidly for my next Tolsta tee.
@pepperknits2 күн бұрын
Interesting! That’s a great idea, I found the same issue with both of my Tolsta tees as well. I’m hoping that adding more short rows into my next one will help 🤭

Among other good discoveries, in your video, I am now realizing that I could make knitted cushion covers for the house. That would allow me to practice a texture stitch, in an otherwise straightforward project, without headache regarding things like making a sweater to fit, etc. Then, later on, I could use the same stitch on a more challenging project. At least that stitch would not be new. Thank you for presenting your cushion cover !!

Very motivating video, Emily. 🪴🪴 I have a question: regarding the linen stitch, do you believe the fabric reacts the same, in the long term, to repeated wear and washing ? Or is the thicker knitted fabric less susceptible to stretch ? Have you ever knitted a garment in linen stitch ? 🪴🪴 Thank you very much ! ! 🪴🪴
@pepperknits3 күн бұрын
That’s a good question! I’m not too sure I think you’re right that being a thicker fabric it would stretch less, but I suppose it depends on the fibre and density of the fabric
