    Ive had this issue, had aftermarket sensors and it would work, but fill up for fuel and its off until the ambient temp went down, usually in the evening. Gotta be genuine for these AC sensors.

    I do not seem to be able to find anywhere how you remove the main connector from the pump. The manual just says "push forward" which isn't helpful.

    Guys if you are servicing your sparkies on Nissans remember to buy a OE intake manifold gasket aswell. You dont want to reuse the old. Yes the manifold has to come off it's not hard at all plus you get to see the condition of your ports anyway. Nissan also recommends replacing the throttle body gasket every time it is disasembled. Asess its condition. Also check the intake piping between it and the filter housing it usually breaks. Especially since age of most J10's its probably broken If you see oil in the spark plug walls/oil leaking from valve cover, cancel your work and order a valve cover gasket. Some Nissans don't use a gasket, instead they use RTV and usally those also have seperate gaskets sealing the sparks. In this case you have to press them in properly with a tool Now get to work 🔥

    I have a metallic rattle coming from the top end of my HDi. It only does when idling down, I performed an oil change, and the engine started knocking badly on the first start-up, I switched it off straight away, but it left me with this rattle. I am wondering if some crap has dislodged during the oil change and caused a lifter to get stuck, or maybe one of these cam lobes has moved slightly. It made a whirling sound yesterday morning, which went away after warming up, almost like a bad idler pully. It's strange as I changed the cambelt 3 years ago, and it's only covered 25k since then.

    Same thing happened to my ford Smax 1.8 tdci. I had replace the whole head due to camshaft snaped. So i fixed all that but now I am facing an other problem which I can not get the car to start. The fuel pressure is too low or there might be excessive air in the system. I have cracked open all the injector nuts to see if there are any bubbles but injector number 1 and two do dribble number 3 and 4 are completely dry can someone help. Kind regards.

    really cool and effective video, i learned at lot. does the camshaft tensioner need to be replaced sometimes ? and i HATE this red display hahaha

  • @Chris_CDB
    @Chris_CDBАй бұрын

    The tensioner doesn’t need replacing unless it starts to rattle.

  • @bassdabob

  • @Chris_CDB
    @Chris_CDBАй бұрын

    The chain is pretty robust to be honest. Doesn’t need touching unless the belt breaks.

    Hello, I drive a citroen ds3 with this problem. After replacing the oil pump, belt kit etc. It still consumes all the available oil after about 1000km. Anyone who has experienced this? I would greatly appreciate some advise🙏😭

  • @Chris_CDB

    I gotta ask, bc I have a 1.6HDi, 8 valve sitting in my barn 'cause the belt snapped at 55mph. I also saw your other video, where you replaced the cam, belt and bits and got it working again. My Q: if I do not see this kind of massacre, but only the moved lobes on the camshaft and/or broken rockers, can I assume there is no valve/piston damage?

  • @Chris_CDB
    @Chris_CDB2 ай бұрын

    Yes providing that you don’t see any valves that have dropped then you can assume the engine can be re-built with rockers, cams, ect!
