Love the videos, it would take some more editing work but it would be awesome if every once in a while if you would pop a quick map up and maybe put a dot where you are at on the map and maybe some dashed lines to show where you have been on the ride.
The grouse hen is protecting its nest, very small eggs and easy to step on, its best to leave her be.
I hiked up there a week later and the snow was still impassable.
They aren't bikes
This group is the exact type of riders that got so many sxs bans in the area….. thanks for that LZR outdoors…… you prob didn’t mean it but your the folks that did it…… have some class and respect for the area your riding in……. You don’t own it.
Way too many side by sides in the woods, texans go destroy your own state.
I went straight to battery also. The bussbar has an inline 200amp non replacement fuse and the positive post under driver fender is from battery with a 300amp non replacement fuse which the 200amp comes off that post to feed bussbar. My question is did you use a circuit breaker or fuse at battery? I know winches can draw amps under heavy load is why i chose not to use bussbar or post under fender hence blowing one of those your no power to machine now your stuck and with a dead rzr lol.
cool vid! Are there campgrounds in the southern hills that you can ride out of?
Burglarized perhaps. No weapons used. Glad you guys can continue 😎🤘🏼☀️☀️
Oh geeee, we went up there in the late 1980s…in a jeep, carefully - (there weren’t many, if any of those OHVs around.). We are always aware of how far we were getting from civilization in case anything happened with our jeep, or ourselves. Now anybody and everybody is jaunting all over these mountains in those things ….and tearing up the roads people…. who are not physically fit enough to get themselves back to civilization if they needed to. smh
I think if they follow you more than a mile, you can keep them! 🐎😅 Kidding of course.
Awesome Video. Question, how did you get to what looks like the Rio Grande from RR, what trial /Hwy did you take, looked you where down in Q. Did you head toward the hatchery? Did you ride or trailer? Thx
Love the video
You never choke your winch rope or cable around your anchor point. Get a choker .
Can we buy some of your hats
Love red river. We try to go every chance we get. It’s a very nice part of New Mexico. It’s the closest mountain area to Amarillo and Lubbock.
You're not supposed to be on trails when there's been excessive rain, this is what gets trails closed.
There was no signage or guidelines saying to stay off trail when it rains. If this is indeed a rule, we were unaware.
@lzroutdoors It's called tread lightly. Every time someone tears up a muddy trail, drives around water in the road, or drives on a trail through a muddy field, it gives the forest service incentive to close that trail. South Dakota started our current "trail system " in 2005, and we lost 60% of our trails right off, and we've been losing more and more ever since, and we don't need people giving the forest service a reason, they come up with plenty of their own.
Way too many UTVs in the woods, ruining the trails for moto and 4 wheelers. Stay in your own state !
Sorry you feel that way
Where did you guys stay
We stayed over in Buena Vista and trailer over there
Did you guys happen to track your rides on the OnX maps? Wouldn’t mind running that trail where the horse was. Great videos by the way!
Glad you enjoyed! Sorry, we don’t track our rides but if y’all are wanting to see our routes we surely can start doing so!
I think that would be great! Thanks!
Where y'all from
We’re from Texas, best country in America!
You may want to take this down you were riding on a snowmobile trail that ohvs are not allowed on.
Silverton to LC, in 1.5 hours.. Via 2014 Suzuki Dr650 at warp 4
The Sugar Shack burned down one night mid-December of '23! What a bummer! They're going to rebuild, thankfully. It's a staple in the hills.
Well that’s said to hear, but we’re glad they are rebuilding. We really enjoyed it when we went
Of the 3,500 or so miles of roads and trail available to ride in the Black Hills, less than 300 miles are 62" restricted trails. A little planning with the MVUMs goes a long way, since they are marked. The Avenza map app is what most use since the official maps can be downloaded into it. OnX is getting better, but it's still a long way from the best option in the hills. On one hand, I totally see where you are coming from, on the other government. Love 'em or hate 'em they administer the trails, so we need to follow their rules. The locals don't want the forest service closing more trails because visitors selfishly break the rules and go home. Thanks for respecting them. The 62" trail system was developed back when machines of the day were no more than 60" The soil and environmental studies were for that width. We're hoping to get them pushed to 65" one day without all of the red tape and more studies. For now though, there's more than enough miles for bigger machines, and honestly the 62" aren't even the best ones. They are more like additional miles of trails for riding sake. The Forest Service isn't happy with the rules being broken. More restricted gates are going in and enforcement is on the rise. Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed South Dakota. I'm loving the vids!
What do you guys use for gps mapping on ur bikes?
We use OnX Off-road, our uncles uses Ride Command and Maprika. Just depends on where we are and who offered the best Maps.
How has onx been for yeah? Been thinking of downloading that
Fxr snowmobile gear is what you guys needs on this ride. Helmets with goggles and face masks. That what we use up here in Minnesota
Thanks for the info, well remember that once winter comes around again!
What do you guys use for a 2 way radio?
We use Midland radios. Can’t remember the exact model but we have them set up with external speakers in each RZR.
Looking for a place to atv and camp out in the wild for a few days. Are these just day use areas or is there any dispersed or any type of camping near these lakes up there?
We don’t believe there are any designated areas for that, but there wen’t and signage saying camping was prohibited.
South Dakota doesn't really enforce the 62" trails.
Yeah, but we’ve always played on the side of “better safe than sorry”
IF that happens again, please call the game warden or The local police. That is someones horse, very well trained and clearly a womans horse. Someone is or was missing that horse badly. Also being a blue roan depending on breeding that horse is worth alot of money. Just an FYI.
Enjoyed the videos. I have a question about riding the Alpine Loop, do you have to have non resident permits to ride in Colorado?
See n your video on wagon wheel in meeker can I ask what trail app. Did you use thanks
Are the trails passable now? Would like to go there this month.
From what ive been told you can no longer ride your side/side on the streets of Silverton
Yeah, they made that change almost 3 years ago. We were there just about a month before that rule changed. It’s really sad because we saw a lot of riders in town and a lot of local businesses relied on that traffic too. Hopefully they’ll go back, but for now we you can’t.
Ok sounds good can’t wait. We have been watching all your videos over and over. Still enjoying them your family reminds me of ours we go to South Fork Colorado every year usually the end of July and ride trails around there and around Creed it’s a blast. Thanks for responding back I really appreciate you guys and what you do my kids and I love it keep it up.
I like to ride yamaha so I guess I cant hit the button
Are you guys going to make anymore videos?
We are planning on it. Just working like we do makes it hard to find time to put videos together. We’ve filmed a couple times, but the content was not very good so they got scrapped. But we do have some good things planned that we know y’all will love so just stay tuned!
Did the status of fourth of July trail change? It was 50 inch limit only
We love to watch your videos you put out. We watch them every night even if we have seen them we just let them play and watch them again my daughter is in love with you Hope she wants to be just like you. Keep up the good work our opinion is that you guys are The best UTV videos out there keep them coming.
WOW… that’s the kindest comment we’ve been received. Thank you for that!! We are happy so enjoy the video’s as much as you do. We do our best to get content out to y’all when we can, but it’s hard at times. We’ll get some more out to y’all before long!
Good video. Wheres the best rv park to stay at where I can ride directly from park to trail? Also, Your fathers tender springs arent clocked right bud
Any possibility of saved tracks of the rides you took out in meeker? Planning a trip and like to have an idea where to ride. Thanks and the vids are great!
Great videos. My family is going to Meeker in July. Can I ask where you stayed ? If you would recommend it let me know.
What radio do yall use in sxs, speaker and all?
My kids and I love watching you videos we have watched all of them and some of them 3 or 4 times you guys are amazing keep up the good work we are excited to see what’s next.
So I’m guessing all the trails are just dirt roads. Everything I’ve seen can be done in a chevette lol
Sure, if you wanna put it that way LOL
Been enjoying your videos, love the family fun.
Thanks! We appreciate hearing that!
