Looks like a great place to raise a family. I’m sold!
Santa Elena Canyon is a beautiful place.
What was that helicopter-like sound I heard in the beginning?
Maybe quieter than other times bc of the heat, but I can think of several hot cities around the world with a hell of a lot more life on their streets and trails. Sad to see these amenities underutilized. Just another car-centric city.
Now I see why the park was closed for so long. One heck of a transformation!
Not much there
Granny lived on 34t.and you walked past it..aaaargh
Cairo WAS a city when I left ..still was in 1961.
CAIRO😂
It's CAIRP
My grandmother lived on 36th.
ooo this walk is gonna be killer on shrooms
Awesome video! Hope a Rainey Street walk is on the way soon. Love to see the developments unfold periodically.
why is nobody hiking there? looks beautiful
Too hot probably
Nice to see that Riverside hasn't changed too much, at least south of Woodland.
Great video, seems like a beautiful neighborhood
Thanks!
I spent a lot of time riding the e bike around the downtown doing ubereats. I really miss it.
Que hermosa Ciudad Muchas gracias
Nice!
I was just out there this past weekend! I also went out to Bastrop State Park that day as well! The pine trees are my favorite part of the park! Have y’all been out there too?
Nice!
Beautiful place building created usa💛💛💛💚💚💚💙
came here everyday in summer when i was a kid in Austin 1965. Watch out for the under tow on the spillway coming off Barton Springs. It's pretty deep there (especially if you are 9) Learned the hardway (hint go to the bottom and leap out of the current) :). There was a rope swing behind the baseball fields. The baseball fields are are still there. I played ball in those fields. Splintered my shin on that field! Barton Springs is just as it was in 1968 I can attest. I go there once a year for my annual baptismal. The other end of Barton Springs is fun too, You can walk up Barton Creek and it is all rock bottom creek like Barton Springs but wilder. Clear and sometimes deep, and you might even see a dinosaur footprint too. Great place to grow up! Don't get me started with the Aqua Festival!
Which game was this and when was it played
I've done that trail and the uphill stretch from mile 4.5 to 7 is rough
Man... I don't know why I love your videos.
so dead compared to san antonio downtown
Where is everyone?
RIP container bar.
Another one! keep it up!
I lived on a small town in NH, with a pop of around 800. I think i might have seen 50 of them, lol,,, the town now is a million dollar retreat for the very rich... there's a development place there,, started around 1974 or so, Farra Faucett lived there ,,,,, (ew)
Niceeeee
Thanks for the video
I love these videos since I want to move to Austin.
Does anyone know a place to DANCE here on Rainey Street???, because I think all of those places are bars or restaurants but I never see people dancing.
My grandparents were Estel and Ruby Woolsey. They used to own the house on a corner of Madison, yellowish/tanish siding, near the Catholic church and a school (frame 34:11). They are gone on now but God knows how much I miss them. Their dtr Cassie(my mom) and son Carl ( and his wife my aunt is from there, Mary Jo) have passed as well.... I miss my family, I miss this house and all the visits, my kids were able to go up there too when they was little. One day I would like to do a road trip and go to the places they took me to, and of course take flowers were they are buried at, Newman, IL. Thank you for sharing this lil walk down memory lane for me.
Still using da same camera or you got a new one ?
I usually use a GoPro Hero 7 to record my videos. I shot this on e on my DJI Osmo Pocket: amzn.to/3AJwghW
Epic!
Just saw your video. I go there for dental health and shopping & eating. Since I have been going there for the past 20++++ years there has been no police of any kind. I wonder if defunding the police in america may look like this.
My mother took us there to go Christmas shopping in the 60s. It’s nothing like it was back then.
awesome video,,,love that
Nice ride.
Nice 👍
i really like that you went up 6th and down 4th. 2 very different vibes

You picked a beautiful day for a walk - love walking around Mueller too!
Love the videos! Thanks for sharing. Would you be able to share what is your camera setup? A GoPro/Osmo?
Thanks! I filmed this video with a GoPro Hero 7, amzn.to/3ALluI3, and a GoPro chest harness, amzn.to/3HxdOMd I also sometimes use a DJI Osmo Pocket, amzn.to/3AJwghW
Born in Salem in 1938. Thanks for sharing. Good memories of childhood there with swimmimg pool, last days of school at the park, skating rink and got poison ivy 3 years in a row from playing in the woods. Anyone remember Dr. PORTER? He said I would never get it again. Went to Central school until I was 12. We then moved to Chicago. I appreciate you bringing back the memories. I do wish you had talked a little about what street you were on. Some signs I couldn't read. The signs on the theater made me laugh. Thank you so much
Zipping around my old neighborhood! A few new houses here and there but otherwise doesn't look like it has changed all that much.
it looks deserted
