  If every exercise was done every day, how long would it take to get through the book and workbook?

  The original course was designed as a 5 day intensive; 5 days, 7 hours per day. You can take as long as you would like to go through it at your own pace. But this sound like a riddle, hmm if we did them all in one day - one day right? I use the book as a tool and teach using the handbook. I have always been able to draw but love the way she teaches negative space in such an easy to understand way.

  You’re welcome, I’m so glad you liked it! Honestly I use both Gelli and Speedball. I even have a few small ones that a friend gave me that are a no name brand that I expected nothing from that work great, I took them thinking I’d bring them to work because I teach kids, which I’ve used them for but I use them myself too. I really haven’t seen a difference in any of the commercial brands honestly. I started gel printing long before Gelli, when we made our own from actual geletin and glycerin so it’s amazing to have so many choices now.

  So I'm figuring out this process of how to stream live - please bear with me ! It will hopefully continue to go smoother and then wont be as hard for me to get started. It's a work in progress. I used to love doing live Zoom teaching so hope I can figure out a way to do interactive Live Streams or just have my stream going while I'm painting in the studio so people can pop in to say hiya!

  Hi Ana! It’s Matte medium. I use Liquetex brand, you can attach collage with it too. You can thin down paint with it to make glazes and increase flow. It’s like acrylic paint but has no pigment.

  You came along at the right time for me with your post, because I was surprised that I felt the need to make several drafts for some of the pictures. I am self-taught and wasn't sure if that was OK, but then I did it because I didn't want to destroy the picture I had started. It was a difficult process because part of me wanted to finish it and the other part was full of different ideas. So thank you very much for the info from Munch, that helped me a lot.❤

  Of course it’s ok, whatever feels right for your process is right for you Carmen. I very often make several studies, some on paper, some in my sketchbook and I may even make a mono print or two before I move to a large canvas or panel. You should feel free to play and experiment as much as you need to. Art is a journey.

  Thanks Ariana, i hope you liked it. I plan to do more process for Gelli, most of these papers were just “seconds” or imperfect ones and brayer roll offs. It’s fun to use them up in collage projects because they’re still full of really great colors and textures.

  Thank you, Karen! I can let you know that silver is cool and gold is warm. Silver being more on the white to pale gray spectrum and gold trending towards the yellow spectrum. I’m so happy you are enjoying the series. I am planning more content with exercises for swatching and your sketchbook soon.
