If you want metals like copper, silver, platinum, gold tostick to glass, flash a very thin layer of aluminum first, vent (it will rapidly become aluminum oxide), and change to the metal desired. The aluminum oxide acts as a "glue".

is it not a flash boil off the water releasing the Hydrogen which then then promptly explodes

My traditional adjustment for helium flkw is using a blunted hypodermic needle, flow should be just enough to feel on your wetted upper lip. This is plenty for course location. Fine location is adjusted by bubbling in water. BTW, cheap balloon-grade helium is more than good enough!

I once knew a research group that managed to drop a nut into a pump at speed. The rotor was basically a solid at that speed, so the nut just bounced back into a remote section of the chamber. THE FIRST TIME! The next time, the pump injested the nut, blades, etc.

Fitting music to include during the distillation parts of the video given how gorgeous cesium metal looks! 🎶 🎵 🎼

Can rubidium ozonide and potassium ozonide also be made in a similar fashion to this by reacting ozone gas with rubidium superoxide and potassium superoxide respectively?

Old Leybolds used greased bearings and did not last long. They switched to oil-lubricated and had more success (but could no longer be mounter horizontally).

Amazing machine but I still have a thing for the elegance of oil diffusion pumps.

You should Take a Look into a Heinzinger high voltage Power supply. As "partial discharge" IS a Major issue you can learn from them how they tackled it.

When you say subscribe the button lights up. Did you do that or is it automatic?

Hello, you are making amazing content, I have been fascinated by vacuum technology for a long time. Your channel and everything on it really interested me. Could you please share with me some information about your vacuum chamber? I'm interested in as much as possible, pipe size, wall thickness... Regards. @Advanced Tinkering

This is where having a very good knowledge of both physics and chemistry is most useful. Someone in an earlier comment mentioned glass being _atomically clean._ I'm not sure to what degree of cleanliness is needed and whether it can be achieved physically or chemically- possibly through a powerful oxidizer like Piranha solution. Other factors to consider would be obvious high voltage and heat dangers. Not sure if the charged particles have enough energy to generate X-rays of concern. If you have a copy of Strong's _Procedures in Experimental Physics,_ you could make some fascinating things, although one could make things of serious danger.
