  This was at the time I did the review. A full tank cost us N$900. With the new fuel price, it took above N$1031.

  I'd say fuel consumption depends on the speed you're driving, I once drove a 2016 quest plus from Whk to Ondangwa without filling up

  @@maxlodewyk_na it's a 1.6 manual, was just doing 100 - 120 and +120 when I had to overtake, I still have it though, currently in 201 088 km and still moving like new💯 everything functional, nothing replaced but oil change services every 15k km, front shocks once and brake pads 🙌🏾 so I'd say it's a pretty reliable and simple car, love it, my mission is to take it to 510 000 km😎

  @@immanuel1954 awesome. I’ll try to match that by strictly doing 120 to see how far I can go. I’ve managed to push it to Oshivelo but that’s doing between 120 - 140 km/h. Yes, these Corollas are really reliable, so far we’ve only done service and replaced brakes as well. Thanks for the detailed feedback, much appreciated.

  So with a full tank, it only goes from WHK to Oshivelo? Quite a thirsty car actually. Perhaps a manual will have a better fuel efficiency

  Yes, it is quite thirsty and averages 7.4l/100 but one should take in mind it’s not a small engine, non turbo and the weight of the car. I definitely think the manual will perform better.

  That 1.8 Engine has proven to be the best. My next car will be auto transmission. The cvt is slightly sluggish but it does well. The black interior is just 👌🏾

  This 1.8 is fantastic man, I’m sure the manual handles it better but the convenience of the CVT is great. Yes, the black interior is also my favourite, it’s easy to keep clean.

  Yeah. It stands for continuous variable transmission (a type of automatic gearbox), which in other brands such as Nissan are not reliable at all.

  Yeah, it’s a combination of vehicles but comes at a good price. I love the fact that it offers the buyer great opportunity to pimp it out for off-roading.

  In Brazil, Toyota still build the FJ45, double cab, called Bandeirante. Toyota uses the OM314 engine, an engine that is known for endurance, from Mercedes-Benz. Know the old 508D truck, or older Unimog? Well, that would explain the reliability perhaps.

  Great to hear from you. The video/pictures don’t do it justice. Go view it in person. If you can make due with the limited space (400l boot), I think it’s a solid offering especially if you go for the non hybrids.

  Rear seats are a bit upright but overall space inside is comfortable. Sat in it with someone next to me in-front and the back and it’s proper. I don’t think videos/pictures to do this justice.

  Great review! Nice SUV. The interior truly looks like a spaceship 🤩 So if its electric does that mean one will need a charge it at home ? Wondering if Nam has car chargers distributed across the country yet?

  Thanks for watching and also your contribution Tunga. So with hybrids, you don’t need a charger, the batteries get charged by driving the car. Also, hybrids save you some fuel because up to a certain speed, (say 60km/hour) the car only runs on batteries especially within the city. Full electric vehicles need charging and we have a few stations at places like M&Z Mercedes as well as BMW, but I think those are just for their vehicles and not the public.

  Yes, every time a new Corolla is introduced, the outgoing gets rebadged into the Quest name.

  Torque is good on 2.8, am not a fan of auto transmission. I like the front indicators. 4.5 struggles with power to weight ratio

  Yes, the 4.5 cannot tow as comfortably as the 2.8. With the manual transmission you have more control off-road, I agree. Which would you go for between the two?
