Most of the sediments.which I have seen so far are finegrained. In fact I would say that sandstones are fairly scarce, and conglomerates and other arenaceous sediments are so far unseen.

Mars has a thin carbon dioxide atmosphere about 1% of Earth', which is enough to help slow the capsule down so that the landing rocket engine can be fired.

This is soooo cool!! Who would have ever thought that one day we would be looking at videos of Mars on KZread? And clouds too (CO2 ice no doubt)? Let me tell you something-- one day people will be taking this stuff for granted. I never will. We owe a debt of gratitude to the scientists who engineered the rovers to do what they do. That took a Herculean effort. I will never look at that small red 'star' in the night sky the same way again. We should all relish these images.

Truly remarkable. Getting the rover there safely and designing its functions is an impressive feat of engineering. Amazing how scientists can figure out the facts of the universe! I loved seeing the blue sunrise! Remember to thank the scientists who engineered the rovers; that was a Herculean undertaking. One day people will take videos like this for granted. Let's all relish these images on this day. Mars may appear to be a lifeless ball of rock, but we can learn more about our own planet by studying it. The survival of humanity depends on it.

It really makes you think, maybe before our life time there was life on Mars, maybe this is where aliens lived once, who really knows, except for God the Holy Father because he created everything in the universe and the world and what's on the world 🌎 Always believe in the Holy Father and always pray for the world, be good to one another and always repent for your actions and count your blessings always, much love to all ✝️ Jesus and Mary and Joseph pray for us sinners and keep us safe 🇺🇸❤️

What if Mars is the most interesting planet we are capable of reaching - is all the money spent on space research worth it. If Earth is the only reachable planet that isn't a dull, rocky desert or a vast empty? gas giant - why not stay on earth.

Life on Earth can be depressing, but the total lack of any life on Mars is even more depressing (while still fascinating to see). So I guess we must be grateful to have any kind of life, at all, and try not to become so self-destructive that we wind up looking like Mars.

The photo was taken with a camera on the rover. It uses a very exaggerated fisheye lense to capture so much of its surroundings. Actually, if youve ever seen skateboard videos from the 90’s/2000’s you can see similar types of camera angles.

Amazing images. Wonder if we'll end up finding that what we think is caused by ancient water flows etc is just down to wind and sand erosion having a similar effect over millions and millions of years on an alien Planet. We think "Earth" and "Human" too much in all our equations-you now read that expolanets have entirely human sci fi inventions (Dyson Spheres) orbiting them! I don't think so!
