    Great video, short and sweet - really appreciate it! I'm curious, have you explored the pros and cons of ozone sanitizers vs UV sanitizers? I'm a tad worried about their safety, especially when used in enclosed spaces like basements. Oh, and a quick suggestion - adding some insulation around the tub might boost your system's efficiency. Just a thought! Keep up the fantastic work! Looking forward to future update videos.

    Thanks for this Michael. Regarding the pump and the timer, it doesn’t run 24/7. Is that alright? If I set it to 10, does it just turn off and on every ten hours? And will the chiller stop when the pump stops as no water will be moving through the chiller once it turns off. That’s been a concern of mine.

  • @Michaelblife
    @Michaelblife Жыл бұрын

    Hope it was helpful…. It starts running every 24hours, so if you have it on 10, it will run for 10 hours and then start again 14hrs later for another 10hours… you can easily add a timer if you want, I usually run mine for 2hours before I get in (after it’s initial cool down). The chiller will maintain the temp of the water in the chiller and won’t freeze up if the pumps not running so no big worries there. … hope that answered your questions

  • @haltorne6647

    From the chillers I’ve personally looked into the boost just pulls a higher power draw for faster cooling. Your electrical bill will go up if you leave it on 24/7. If you run the chiller over night then you shouldn’t need the boost unless the temperature difference between desired water and ambient is high. (MechE here, but openly haven’t fully looked into it all so could still be wrong!)

    What model was the first chiller you bought? Did you need the 1/2 HP because the first one wasn't enough? Do you think 1/4 HP will be enough? There's a step down model which is less money.

    I prefer the 1/2 ... but the 1/4 will work if you get a pump that matches the GPH flow rate. Use some insulation and it will definitely work
