I'm Andrea, I have many creative hobbies, and my passion is Mechanics with a capital M. The constructive and creative one. My creativity doesn't start from scratch, but I learn every day with you, as a boy I studied mechanics, and I loved it deeply, I was good at it, but life led me to a completely different profession, after so many years I resumed my old love at an amateur level and I started piece by piece, or rather an equipment to create my Home-shop, and here I am.

Ci sono un pò di cose da rivedere.... Il flussante devi passarlo solo in zona saldatura, perchè rimuove lo strato passivato dove non deve (come si vede). Una soluzione di acetone va passata dopo la paglietta. Quella lega fonde a 700 gradi circa, non serve portare l'inox al rosso ciliegia. Anzi lo altera pesantemente in termini di caratteristiche e finirà per annerirsi o arruginirsi. Se devi farlo, tanto vale usare il bronzo che costa assai di meno. L'acciaio dopo un simile trattamento termico va ripuliito in zona saldatura con una soluzione di acido nitrico (le vendono appositamente per la pulizia saldatura) e dopo con una soluzione passivante che quantomeno, ne ripristini lo strato esterno Magari non ne vale la pena è solo un imbuto. Ma la procedura andrebbe fatta in questo modo

@@MecMod_Homeshop L'argento ha il vantaggio di fondere a temeperature più basse, quindi ti riallacci proprio al discorso sopra. Dopo che la lega si è fusa, portati intorno con la torcia per uniformare la temperatura, ma resta alla temperatura di fusione o leggermente sopra. Il rosso per l'appunto è solo dannoso in quel caso, bruci anche il flussante progettato per stare basso. Tieni a mente che nelle saldature sotto pressione, occorre far scorrere un gas inerte come l'argon nei tubi, diversamente si formano ossidi interni che portano a rotture. Su una cosa piccola potrebbe essere una gran seccatura, trovarle e ripararle. Semplicemente bombola e tubo da un lato, aperto dall'altro. L'argon sostituirà l'aria. Fermo restando questo punto, se usi l'argento il rame si scalderà molto meno, male non fa, ma ti servono leghe eccellenti e non sono economiche. Se non vuoi usare leghe d'argento MOLTO costose allora meglio una lega CUP8. Se saldi rame non serve neppure il flussante con queste leghe, solo pulizia accurata. Con leghe inferiori ci si saldano le unità inverter dei climatizzatori che lavorano a 45 bar, le locomotive a vapore (almeno quelle grandi) in genere lavorano intorno ai 20 bar. Dovrebbe reggere se fatto in questo modo e non dovresti avere rotture continue, se il lavoro è fatto bene

@@MecMod_Homeshop Italia, girata da nord a sud ormai. La saldatura a gas è valida in tante applicazioni. Li per esempio ti servirebbe un cannello gpl/ossigeno, quantomeno, sia piccolo che medio. Però è un discorso da affrontare con serietà. Il problema è che tra varianti, torce, procedure di sicurezza dei cannelli bigas, ecc ecc, ci sarebbe da parlare per 100 anni. Troppa gente fa enormi sciocchezze con i bigas lo vedo in molti video. Del tutto incosciente dei rischi che corre. Anche un piccolo cannello portatile con bombole da 1lt può fare enormi danni in caso di incidente

Hi, sorry for the Italian la language, I have to publish some content also in Italian for my countryman, anyway I silver solder a stainless steel for the tomatoes grinder machine funnel, is August and some traditional stile Italians make the puréed tomatoes 🍅 preserve, as every year we will grind 100 kgs 😀, no many Italians in 2024 do this kind of naturale and antic work, people buy pealed or crushed tomatoes in can, but when hand made is an other world, trust me 🙂
@@MecMod_Homeshop Oh I see. I buy Italian San Marzano tomatoes from Centos all the time. I learned to make traditional Italian sauce and spaghetti and so far, I've done really well against anyone who claims they make better spaghetti than me. I added one thing to the old recipe and it make the sauce explode with flavor. A small amount of cayenne pepper. Not enough to make it hot. But what the cayenne pepper does, it opens your taste buds so after you eat the sauce, the flavor of the sauce comes back and lingers and intensifies. I have tried growing San Marzano's here in the states but over 10 years, every season was a failure. San Marzano tomatoes are extremely difficult to grow anywhere but in Italy.

Togliere i piedini non ha alcun senso e non ha probabilmente avuto niente a che fare con la variazione nella finitura superficiale. I piedini sono stati messi lì per un motivo, ma evidentemente non le è chiaro. Auguri con la messa a punto...
Ciao Mauro, i piedini li avevo messi io, la macchina era senza piedini, i fori servo per mettere o prigionieri per io fissaggio a pavimento, grazie per il commento.
@@MecMod_Homeshop I fori servono per il fissaggio a pavimento OPPURE per piedini di livellamento. Il fissaggio con ancoraggio al pavimento non elimina il livellamento della macchina. Oggigiorno si mettono i piedini, che vanno benissimo se la macchina non è enorme. Oltretutto, fanno appoggiare il basamento sui tre punti di progetto e non dove capita.
Ciao Mauro, lo so per questo li ho messi, ma evidentemente la macchina in qualche miniera si squilibria, l’asse z ha una lunga corsa e pesa. Era uno dei unici grossi cambiamenti che avevo fatto da quando ho spostato la macchina, rimetterla a terra era un opzione e ha migliorato rispetto a prima, ma non e’ finita qua, devo agire su altre cose, non e’ ancora Okay.
Non credo che poggiare la macchina al pavimento sia una buona idea perchè ne il pavimento e ne la base della macchina (probabilmente) sono perfettamente in piano. L'appoggio in questo modo è assai incerto. 3 punti ti garantiscono l'equilibrio. E' pur sempre una affila utensili e non una rettifica tangenziale quindi, può essere che sia "debole" al centro e che in qualche maniera tu abbia "aggiustato" le cose.....il tempo ti dirà.
Grazie, non escludo nulla, con il tavolo di prima e con la macchina a terra ho raggiunto buoni risultati, ira deve raggiungerli anche cin questo setup poi inizierò a lavorare di fino con i settaggio, come bilanciamento etc. Grazie
Ha, definitivamente meglio dell'altra volta. A volte pero' e proprio la rigidita' della macchina che crea oscillazioni, ma forse nel vostro caso e meglio cosi'. Poi ci sono altri casi con le frese e torni, ma quello e' un'altra storia, dato che ci sono forze piu grandi in gioco. Oppure potete mettere un' peso aggiuntivo sulla testa in qunto puo' cambiare frequenza e a volte e gia quel' che basta. Bo, dico cosi' in quanto ci sono molti modi per disfarsi dalle vibrazioni.. Spero vi siano d'aiuto i miei consigli e buona fortuna.

Il risultato si è visto eccome, non so se possa avere senso mettere un foglio in gomma fra pavimento e affilatrice, garantisce la grande superficie di contatto ma offre un po' di smorzamento delle vibrazioni. Un altro fattore che potrebbe influenzare la finitura è il fatto che con il blocco di ghisa per arrivare sulla superficie del piano magnetico è costretto ad alzare la colonna. Avendo il peso tutto in avanti fa si che te da a piegarsi in avanti, non molto ma tutto contribuisce a fare perdere rigidità all'assieme e le vibrazioni ci vanno a nozze. Anche perché si parla veramente di piccolezze in questi casi dato che si asporta pochissimo materiale per volta.
Ciao, e si, con questo video mi sono appena avvicinato, devo fare altre cose, concordo con te su altezza piano Vs. Testa, prima era piu basso il piano, voglio alzare la testa per abbassare corsa colonna e farla lavorare dal basso. Credimi ci sono tante altre cosine da fare, da quando l’ho spostata e’ cambiato il mondo, sei on same page with me 🙂
Io procederei per fasi. Ogni interfaccia in più tra le guide e la mola è una sorgente di errore. Quindi, prima verificare se la macchina rettifica in piano, mettendo il magnete direttamente sulla vecchia tavola. Se la macchina è precisa, ovvero se con il metodo dei 5 blocchetti hai risultati buoni, allora il problema è nella tavola aggiuntiva, o quantomeno nell' interfaccia tra questa e il tavolo macchina. Le rondelle calibrate che hai messo appoggiano da un lato sulla vernice

Mmm, sorpresa, si.. Per quel' che vedo, la superficie e soggetta a vibrazioni, sembra come un' campo arato.. Provate a mettere sotto il tavolo al' posto degli spessori in lamiera o magari sotto il blocco intero uno spessore o due di carta, non sara' ideale ma almeno potrete vedere, se e quello il problema, dato che la carta assorbe le vibrazioni.. A volte cercando di fare un' buon lavoro si incontra ostacoli.. ma poi si impara nuove esperienze. =) Buona fortuna.

La diamantatura è troppo lenta. Hai ridiamantato la mola dopo aver lavorato la ghisa ? Qualità e specifiche della mola? Posiziona un pezzo sul piano magnetico con il quale hai avuto buon i risultati in precedenza e vedi cosa accade...

Lo trovo e ci provo, oggi e’ andata molto meglio, ma devo controllare tutti gli scorrimenti dell’asse Z, poi la temperatura in shop em alta e il motore si riscalda molto e epe so anche che questo contribuisce al problema di finitura, se la cosa persiste proverò a rimontare il tavolo di prima e riprovare su quello che aveva dato ottimi risultati, pensavo di migliorare ma in realtà ho fatto dei passi indietro difficili da comprendere, la soluzione e’ fare cari test

Devo controllare la colonna in effetti dopo lo spostamento della macchina ho l’impressione che non tiene la misura, devo registrare nuovamente i lardoni, nello shop fa caldo, qualcosa e’ cambiato
Effettivamente la finitura superficiale è bruttina come quando la mola vibra per errata bilanciatura o non è squadrata 🤔 ma ho visto che l'hai passata col diamante quindi il problema può essere solo sulla tavola....
Penso che siamo i piedini anti vibrazione che sbilanciano la macchina, un problema di distribuzione dei pesi del letto della macchina, spero di dare prova con il video della prossima settimana, grazie
You have a lot of chatter going on. I don't know too much about your project so Ill have to backtrack to see what you're doing. I would make 3 suggestions; 1, You need a larger thicker grinding wheel. Larger diameter and thicker. The wheel you are using is going to be prone to excessive vibrations because its so small and thin. That could be dangerous as well because those vibrations could cause the wheel to explode. I've had this happen to me, twice. It's extremely dangerous. The other thing is, when surface grinding, you have to understand how the wheel is wearing from one side to the other and use of a thin wheel is going to wear during grinding way too fast. It's likely not grinding properly because it isn't thick enough. *** *_I would recommend you contact Radiac Abrasives._* They make the best grinding wheels for any application. There are different grades of grinding wheels and you need the right grinding wheel for iron, steel, or whatever you are grinding. Some grinding wheels are designed to take off a lot of material at once while other wheels are for fine finishing. _I would not ignore this recommendation._ I would NOT use Norton wheels under ANY circumstances. They are garbage! I've had a lot of people argue with me about this and all I can say is, they are contradictors and have no idea what they are talking about. The abrasives store I go to locally refuses to carry Norton products for the reason I just said. 2; The wheel needs to be balanced. If rigidity isn't the issue, balancing the wheel will go a long way to creating that nice smooth surface. 3; Machine rigidity. Which I know you're trying to eliminate on the machine. Another thing you might consider, is adding flood coolant pointed at the wheel and work surface directly. You're generating a lot of heat on the point of grinding. That heat can affect the quality of the grind, and the dimensions of the final result on the work. Unlike the lathe or the mill, which can depend on the chip to carry away heat, the grinding process cannot depend on the grinding dust to carry away heat. The flood coolant will also flush away the excess grinding dust. I would also not engage the magnet. I would recommend searching Clough 42's channel on balancing his surface grinding wheels. I would follow what he did for balancing his grinding wheels. (When balancing a grinding wheel, I would NOT drill holes in the wheel to balance it. If you want to know of a much better way to balance a wheel if your only option is to otherwise drill holes in it, let me know and I'll share with you what you need to do. Otherwise I suggest you do what Clough 42 did on his machine to balance his grinding wheels.)

I could be completely wrong but were you grinding that with the magnetic chuck magnetised??? I have no idea how you're supposed to grind a magnetic chuck but Is it possible you were re grinding the cast iron dust under the wheel?
Ho, the magnet need to be on, I think the problem is in the anti-vibration feet, are not good for the shape of the machine bed.
Sta diventando qualcosa di utilissimo.. E ci credo che vi rendera' la vita piu facile.. Sulle macchine di lavorazione si possono fare tantissime modifiche, attrezzature diverse, miglioramenti, che pero' ricchiedono pazienza e insistenza a realizzarli. Sto costruendo una sega a nastro per metalli e ho dovuto lavorare le ruote sulla fresa, facendo un' attacco apposito per via della profondita' del' raggio che mi permette il tornio. Cosi' ho raggiunto il diametro delle ruote di 420 mm mentre il massimo assoluto sarebbe stato 445 mm. Il tornio mi permette solo 320. Beh, sara' una difficolta' di produrre un' tornio con la testa piu alta sopra il piano.. boo..comunque con un' po' di astuzia, se po fa'. =) Buona fortuna.

E si con l’inventiva e la pazienza si possono fare grandi cose, a volte pero’ ci sono momenti dove ti senti un po smarrito perché qualcosa non e’ andato esattamente come speravi, ma la realtà e che ti devi fermare e riflettere per trovare la strada la soluzione, sono processi lenti, anche queste fasi comportano pazienza, e tutto ciò e’ meccanica.

@@lucioattolini9597 al momento no, come hai visto e’ a questo livello di avanzamento dei lavori troppo preciso, le spalle della circonferenza sul piano della rettifica non sono a 90 gradi ma hanno stucco e vernice, non avevo considerato questa cosa 😨

Il vecchio tavolo dove si appoggiava? Se il costruttore della macchina ha messo stucco e vernice su un diametro, evidentemente non lo riteneva una misura precisa.

Mmm, probabilmente il problema sta nel' passaggio oltre il bordo, che unito alle vibrazioni produce un casino.. Suppongo anche la marcia sia la piu bassa possibile.. Purtroppo a volte le cose sono difficili da tagliare, sopratutto la sistemazione non permette una presa sicura o un' lavoro scorrevole. Sarebbe piu facile un' tavoro rotante, ma dato le dimensioni del' pezzo, mi sa' quasi impossibile. Auguri, sembra procieda bene nonostante i problemi.. =)
E si grazie, ma ho fatto anche delle ingenuità, ho fatto esperienza, sapevo che era meglio svuotare e poi sfaccettare come al tornio ma ho continuato ugualmente

Aiaiai, Geppetto.. 🤨 Che e successo? Mi sa che non era posizionata fuori portata del' tavolo.. So esattamente com' e' la sensazione quando qualcosa va' in quel' paese.. Nota positva: c'e' sempre la scala sulle manopole.. 😉 Il danno e fatto e dobbiamo prenderla come sta, dato che a volte ci sono troppe cose da tenera a mente, quando si prepara la macchina. Mi e gia successo di aver' dimenticato la morsa o qualcosa sotto.. poi succede un intaglio, un buco e cosi' va' la vita.. Bel' lavoro comunque, non ho ancora l'immagine completa in mente, ma vedremo presto, mi pare. 😁Buona fortuna.

A 3 Morse taper soft stub arbour that I turned to fit 3 bearings 25/47 bearings & 2 cheap 80mm chucks from aliexpress, a 3 jaw & 4 jaw independent. Il tornio e dalla Damatomacchine. I've got one of those tiny little belt sanders! They are really useful for sanding the clock gears for my wooden clocks. I added a speed controller & use really fine belts from China.
