A to Zen Life

A to Zen Life

Minimalism changed my life and it can change yours! I was an emotional hoarder with nothing but the clutter from lost loved ones -- and $25,000 of debt -- to my name. Now, I have a beautiful home in Europe, a happy family, live debt-free, and - best of all - wake up to a life that I'm EXCITED to live every day.

Minimalism is so much more than an empty white space - it's about creating a happier space for your family. A space that's full of the most important thing: LOVE! That's what being a minimalist mom means to me!

Now my mission is to help real families just like us conquer their clutter and simplify their way to a happier and better life. I would LOVE IT if you would subscribe to my channel so I can help you, too!

When we bought out house, and FHA inspector had to approve the house. He found a lot of things that needed to be fixed but he didn't find the things that had been well-hidden such as bottom of the line electrical outlets, circuits that blew all the time, and many other problems that occurred because the previous owner and builder of the house had gone with low-quality materials. We had to spend several thousand dollars to bring those things up to code as it turned out they also hadn't gotten final approval for a lot of the structural improvements they made to the house.

I don't mean to be blunt (but I guess I am), but was it prejudice that your boys experienced in the school system in Germany?

I have some few k’s rotting there in my savings account .. at this point at 35 y old with zero financial or investment knowledge whatsoever I don’t know what to do with it, no one to teach me anything, or strategy,or any specific action … and freedom is what I crave the most in this life since never had it

As a german citizen I can only congratulate you and your family for leaving Germany. Especially getting your kids out of the german school system. I‘m 32 and I am really devastated how fast this country is losing its identity, its people and in general- any common sense. Besides that - taxes are extremely high and everything is overregulated. For instance - you aren‘t even allowed to use your garage for another purpose than putting a car inside - it’s nuts around here. It would be interesting to know how you experienced the lack of freedom here compared to living in the US. And I‘m kind of a new follower so where exactly did you live in Germany ? I‘m currently learning new skills to leave my country - which is also heartbreaking but necessary. And minimalism is one way to prepare me for this task.

We were in Berlin! I’m sorry that you are going through the same experience, we had a lot of the same “bureaucratic” issues as well. Again, it 100% depends on where you live but things have been MUCH better in the USA. Wishing you all the best with your goals. ❤️

I found out during COVID when there were limited options of brands to buy in the store that the more expensive toilet paper lasts much longer (and therfore ends up being so much cheaper). We were going through so many rolls of cheap stuff because you have to use so much of it. It has gotten thinner and thinner just to be able to still say 1000 sheets. Shrinkflation is a real thing and you can really get fooled if you don't try better quality once in a while. Don't always stick to the same brands. Try something different on occasion when you are finding your regular items are losing value while the price goes up and find out if it is better.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

Exactly why i enjoy market decisions being guided by a pro , seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk management and market experience , been using a portfolio-coach for over 2years+ and I've netted over $3million in that time frame.

I made a switch to dresses because I figure I can wear them with sandals, with closed flats, w leggings, with boots and layer under them or on top and literally go from winter to summer and not worry about ever having to wear pants or gain / loose a couple pounds or be dressed down. If I like to dress up all I do is wear heels with my dresses.

you taught me alongside other KZread declutter inspiring ladies who are on this journey. “The power of being gentle to ourselves and not harsh.” I have some wonderful friendships with people in real life who I found to be warm, generous and sentimental… A part of their personality is clutter and I am in no judgement on that, it has never got in the way of the friendships. I come from a place of understanding. I don’t want to be judged and I don’t want to judge others. I’m very grateful for people who are brave enough to stand up & share with the world some parts of their personal lives that are an honest expression of real life, Sharing an example of how a journey personally has migrated from experiencing tough things life throws at us… and how it is possible to evolve and grow through different life events. The supportive kind valuable knowledge shared on your channel and several others I follow. set an example and I’ve learnt so much and feel so much better. Through my own journey, I have been decluttering for the last three years, which I have gratitude to you and other Declutter ladies on KZread for inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve done my decluttering at home, truly through following you and a handful of kind people on KZread. It’s changed my life honestly💞

one easy way to budged is to figure out how much money you need/can affored in a week/month and than put that amount in cash in your purse and really not spend any more. so to start do it for a week so if you go over you only have a day or two without money.

Very helpful advice. There is just one thing I struggle with about the one touch rule, I often don't know what to do with things. Do I need to store documents or can I throw them away, so I just put them down again after trying to give it more thought. Is there anything I could do to avoid this not knowing what to do with it?

I’m wondering if you (or anyone reading this ) can help me with a particular challenge that I have regarding getting up early. I readily see the benefits of it and right now in my life I need it more than ever. However, I am a registered nurse and I work the 3 PM to 11 PM shift. Even if I get out on time, which I usually don’t, I’m not even getting home until 11:30 PM and I find it difficult to go immediately to sleep so it is typical for me to not even go to sleep until two or 3 AM. And worse, Because it’s so late at night and the rest of the world is already sleeping. I tend to just find it very easy to slump on the couch and binge watch KZread videos and I often end up falling asleep on the couch and waking up on the couch, which is another very bad habit. I guess my question is number one. Does anyone who might work shifts have any advice on what helps you get to sleep earlier? And also do you think that the miracle morning routine is still effective even if you can’t get up anywhere close to 5 AM. Like if I can’t fall asleep until 3 AM, I would have to sleep until 11 AM just to get eight hours which I definitely am someone who needs eight hours. Right now and in this time of my life, it would be difficult for me to change jobs so I’m hoping to find some tips and adapt the routine to my own schedule because I am in a wicked bad slump and I really need to get back on track and feeling better about myself. Thank you again for your video and anyone’s feedback would be welcome.❤

I've been decluttering my garage and found that in my city there is no garbage collection service for hazardous household waste like anti-freeze, paint, batteries, fertilizer, insecticide, etc. I found out that my area has a Hazardous Household Waste Collection Day for the entire county, but it's only from 8 am to 2 pm one day a year. I had to take time off work to go there, but it was really easy, although the line of cars was long so it was about 30 mins of wait time. Just an FYI if anyone else has a similar issue going on. It was SO worth it! Finally that junk is cleared out of my garage and my conscience is clear 😄
