The ZiSha 紫砂 Teapot Channel.

www.realzisha.com 🌿🌿🌿

Dear Buddies & Friends in the love and support of Fully-Handmade, YiXing ZiSha Art. This is your reference guide to authentic, ZiSha Art fraternity information. You and us, everyone, are the guardians of this art form, and we need to protect and support its honest artists and craftsmen. Their art and hardwork, since about 2015 especially, have been under threat from the deluge of dishonest jigger-jolly machined teapots churned out from numerous factor owners, who sell such non-authentic pots masquerading them as "half-handmade" and even unashamedly "fully-handmade" teapots.

I have started this channel in early 2021 to help all of us Appreciate, Recognize and Understand the inner workings of the ZiSha teapot's honest fraternity. YIxing ZiSha top artists and i have been serving international customers for the past 9 years, and are delighted to also be serving customers via our www.realzisha.com 🎋🎋🎋

Let us serve you too!!!
~ dr ian 🌿🌿🌿

Hello from Turkey. I have a Zhuni "Fish becomes dragon" teapot. It has very beautiful shape and hand carved well. But when I read its certification document, shows "Yuankuang Zhuni". Original ore of red clay. What is "Yuankuang" means? Is it means "Huanglongshan Zhuni"? I think it cannot be make shapy pots with Xiaomeiyo Zhuni or Zhozhang Zhuni because of high shrinkage...

dear Friend from Turkiye, technically, YuanKuang means Original Ore, it infers that the clay used to make the pot, is of ZhuNi ZiSha clay which has not been mixed or combined with any other ZiSha clay type 🌞. You are very wise, from your concluding sentence. 🌿🎋🍵May you be well and happy our friend in Tea Culture🤝🤝🤝

🌿🍵🎋 Dear Sir/Madam, I feel heartened that you appreciate the efforts behind the scenes. I sincerely also wish to emphasise also, that all the absence or presence of each indicator/parameter/signs, is not entire proof of whether a pot is authentic Fully-Handmade vs the ubiquitous jigger-machined pot. 🌻🌻🌻 As written on our website realzisha.com, I also mentioned (which you can scroll and read on our first page), that, Xing Ti 形体 is usually the giveaway. With experienced people, one does not even need to hold and feel the pot, and not even need to open the lid and look within the lid. We can see just by looking at a pot 1 meter away: we can tell by observing the coherency, curves, form, proportions. Yes: just by observing. In fact, in YiXing shops where many, many shops sell counterfeits and non-zisha pots, these counterfeits shop owners will secretly laugh within, if a walk-in customer comes into the shop -> approach a pot->and then touch and lift up the pot and open the lid to inspect within: this sign is the sure sign for the shop owner that he can go up to this walk-in customer and dupe him by various stories into believing that the pot is an "authentic Fully-Handmade ZiSha pot". A Fully-Handmade ZiSha pot has the 形体 Xing Tin, form, shape, that will be the clue as to whether a ZiSha Work is truly Fully-Handmade or not. 🌿🌿🍵🍵🍵🍵 Most of the so-called "Fully-Handmade" indicators can be faked on. This fake industry is huge. There are multiple factories and operations making such fake pots which are jigger-machined and not made from ZiSha at all. There are streets and streets, and buildings and buildings of shops selling such counterfeits. I will also come up with a video soon when we went undercover to unravel such fake operations. The video was done at great danger. 🎋🎋🎋 We only wish to preserve this precious Fully-Handmade ZiSha Art. Gratefully yours, ~ ian🌞

Be extremely careful when considering any of these pots. I have been to the shops in Ding He and can tell you MOST of the pots for sale are fakes. The Chinese have classes in how to make fake pots for the tourist industry. The fake shops are right next door to the shops where actual masters produce works of art. This guy is worried that someone will sell a fake pot for a real price. Remember that China actually had an Apple store that Apple knew nothing about. They had a fake bank that took all the deposits and left town. Just buy a pot that you like and assume that it is fake. If you can afford to spend $1000 on a fake pot, then go ahead. Be happy. I've been collecting and making pottery since 1970. I've studied in Japan and China for 11 years. Be careful, be very very careful. I have more fake stories than I care to tell. As the Chinese say, "Xiao shin di ar!" That's Mandarin for "be careful."

What's the main difference between a handmade pot and a factory made one at this level? Will it severely affect the taste? I have a cheap factory made 60ml teapot and it leaks around the lid. That's my main issue with it. Other than that I think it's quite fine for what it's meant for. I want to own a hand made tea pot, I really do, but they are seriously expensive.

  • @ninadbhave5133
    @ninadbhave51336 ай бұрын

I think you answered your own question. As per my understanding counterfeits come in 2 varieties- decently functional genuine yixing clay pots that work fine for the tea brewing but which are marked up and sold as more expensive handmade art pieces by masters thus causing economic loss to the buyer, and outright fakes make with non-yixing clay or worse, paint-mixed clays which can be downright harmful to the users. So if a factory-made pot is sold at fair prices, then you get value for money. Similarly if a pot is sold as an art piece "in the style of yixing pot" but with clear warning not to drink from it, fine. It's when those ethical lines are crossed that there is a problem

Dear Friend🫶😄🎋good question!!! Yes, it is accepted in the ZiSha Fully-Handmaking fraternity to use a "compass"-like twirling small tool to swing it around to flatten, even out the lid slab bottom surface. Remember also that, if the main body is diagnosed to be of Fully-Handmade origin, then -> the clay used, MUST be ZiSha. (A Jigger-machined pot can never use ZiSha. ZiSha as a ceramic material, can NOT sustain a jigger-machining forces. If you have a chance to work on a ZiSha slab, you will realize: how VERY FRAGILE the ZiSha slab is! 😄🌞🙇‍♂️. And, after you diagnose a main body of this certain pot to be of Fully-Handmade origin, made of real ZiSha, then -> you feel the accompanying lid. ---> if the lid looks and feels to be of the same material used AS the main body, we CAN EASILY infer that this lid is made of ZiSha and HENCE CANNOT BE JIGGER-MACHINED! 😄👍💪👍 🍀Always go back to this, First principle: ZiSha as a material, can NOT be Jigger-machined, ZiSha cannot withstand the Jigger-machining forces. Have fun Buddy!!!!💪😄👐🌞 ~ ian.

Dear Buddy, most ZiSha would have tie rong dian, and it also depends on how the ore is processed into bricks of clay. After weathering down the ore, they will be crushed into very fine particles and then water added to form up into the clay-form, and stored. Before adding the water, such fine particles may be subjected to strong electromagnetic force (after weathering and grinding down into fine partcies) and thus sucking up/out such iron rich particles, with the resultant zisha clay lacking iron, tie rong dian. And, there is an industry getting people to write fake certificates easily for fake pots. Thank you immensely for your common interest my friend🌿🤗🎋

Is this also applied to oddly shaped teapots? Like fish shape?

Dear Timothy, I know what pot you are holding actually. I hesitated for ten hours before replying you. I am sorry, you may want to reconsider your pot. I can simply say that proper Fully-Handmade ZiSha Artists and Craftsmen do not craft these types of pots. For the sake of civility, I need to refrain from more words being said about your pot. I apologise.🙏🌿🎋

Not worth to think about it really, just generally avoid it.You have to go to yixing and commission a proper artist to make that teapot.

Dear Mr Tan, you can visit us on any of the weekdays at our office at Tower B, Ngee Ann City. We have a strong following. We are firmly connected with only the honest Artists in YiXing. Email us at [email protected] , Yi-Lei is from YiXing🎋 and I'm a med doc in Singapore 🌿🌿🌿. Let us know when you are coming, weekdays between 10am to 8pm, and Saturdays 10am to 5pm. Feel, see and handle all the Fully-Handmade ZiSha pots. We are firmly connected with the honest Artists in YiXing. We don't do cheap 代工 pots with those improper Artists even if they are "known" to be L3 or even L2, and even the very notorious bald head L1 正高. We know who to avoid. You can browse our entire collection, and more delightful news in store we promise 😊😄✌️ You will be very happy, and we will have to stop you from buying😅🤣🙇‍♂️... Anyway Mr Tan, don't buy anything on your first visit. Learn first. Yi-Lei shuttles between YiXing, Shanghai and Singapore. We have a strong following. We are very happy to help 🎋🎋🎋

Dear Friend, not all Fully-Handmade teapots may show the line/seam. Also some of the machined pots now also spot this line (artificially added on). As I have always emphasized: we should never go by the presence or absence of one singular indicator to judge. Please don't just go by one indicator, you have to look and examine the pot properly. I, and likewise all other experienced friends, can even tell whether a teapot is made from ZiSha by feeling it, without looking at it. There is the feel of a ZiSha teapot. The tactile feel. Thank you for coming by tea buddy 🌿🤗🎋ask any questions along the way.

Hello, thank you for another fantastic video. I would like to know the name of the wooden tray where the teapots are placed and which collects the water. Thanks.
