  Absolutely sir All the questions you mentioned I got it correct I was scoring around 89-94 and still failed to qualify for mains this year. It's really very difficult to digest. I wrote mains last year and was ready for this year mains with my value addition that I gathered through newspaper reading Now I don't know what to do....I can't prepare full time. This is so unfair. UPSC can't even frame 100 questions properly. And this year they didn't even publish name wala list Recently there are videos and photos circulating regarding CSIR exam copying cases. I can't even imagine a body whose chairman is PM himself is not able to conduct an exam fairly

  Same situation here brother... Was getting more than 86 and that too in SC category but still couldn't clear the prelims..had written mains last year and was well prepared for this year as well.

  Its upsc incompetency that they have set 5 wrong question in gs paper not fate/bad luck of aspirant we should demand cancellation of this year prelims and ask for reconduct of exam. 5 wrong question were (nec, syndicate, they both have translation error), and the other threee factually wrong were ( women reservation bill ( both statement one two were wrong, no answer possible), flying fox (factually wrong, both statement wrong), isotherm (hemisphere ) not mentioned. This is 10 marks which is more than 10 percent of the cut of if is between 95-100). And also deletint the question does not make it a level playing field. Let take a example of translation error a person who got it correct and no fault of his own will fall from 94 (as their 47 question were correct in net)to 91.8 and those who has not attempted will jump from 90 to 91.8..and those who got it negative will jump from 90 to 93.18. This is seriously a scam if 5 percent of question is wrong in an exam where every single marks matter. We should file cases in court, file pm grievances, raise our voice. This whole 5 question has changed the scenario. I am sure they have deleted 3 question and given 2 wrong answer for women reservation bill and isotherm as both of them were also wrong. It has affected more than 5-10k students who were getting marks above 95( if we assume atleast 1000 people are on 1 marks near cut off). We are not talking about controversial question like radar, red Sea, parasitoid etc.. This is nothing less than a scam. We should raise complain to upsc and fight it out. Seriousl aspirant suffer because of upsc incompetency to set correct question and it is not human error 5 wrong question cannot be termed as human error. Human error is one or two question not 5 question. No one on earth can justify these 5 question as correct. They have stooped to the level of state pcs. Its better to raise our voice like last year people raise voice against csat and we the result csat paper was set according to syllabus. I myself was getting 98 in gs and 90 in csat but failed prelims. 93 without controversial question. Let report against upsc...it better than crying and blaming it on our fate.. Accepting upsc mistake like every year.. In the wave of neet, net etc our cause can be heard by opposition mps also.

  @@thecivilsclub nec one and syndicate lending in both they made translation error. In nec one they called it purvotar parishad it should be uttari purv parishad and in hindi the meaning came about which members were added post the amendment. Whereas in English it was council comprises of which members. Both are totally different in meaning. In syndicate lending they translated it wrong spread is written as badhata hai risk.. Which completely changed the meaning it should be baat-ta hai ya risk ghatata hai.

  that's true. Dropping 5 questions is going to affect the marks of a candidate greatly. On top of that, time is also wasted while attempting those questions. There should be transparency in the recruitment process. But the point is courts will not act until somebody file a case against UPSC.

  Gs 1 101 csat 80+ couldn't clear yesterday I filed a complaint in cgrms portal and if the problem will not resolve regarding declaring prelims marks along with answer key and cut off i have decided to approach hc Or sc i don't know what kind of problem they have to declare prelims marks and cut off already they have marks of all candidate. All state pcs also declare cut off at every stage along with provisional answer key so candidates can raise objection. without knowing which question I did wrong and in which paper I need to work it's difficult to evaluate

  Hmm if cut off is not above 90 then why I couldn't get selected after getting 82 marks in EWS category. Upsc should realise their ans keys😢 after prelims. Last year I got 72 marks in GS. This time also I think I am failed by 1-2 marks only.

  Upsc ne juaa khela hai is baar... 5 question wrong set kar ke.. 2 translation error (never, syndicate) aur 3 factual error ( flying fox, women reservation bill, isotherm). Inme 2-3 delete kiye hai aur 2-3 ke answer galat di hai.. Usi ki wajah se uthal pathal machi hai. Jinka nahi hona tha unka ho gya.. Jinka hona tha woh list ke bahar ho gaye. Isse acha toh exam hi cancel kar dete reconduct karate.. Yeh scam aur cheating ki hai upsc ne serious aspirant ke saath. 5 percent error human error nahi crime as it consitutes almost 10 percent of cut off. Aur isme controversial toh joda nahi gya hai abhi red Sea, radar etc..
