The thing is many people understand how to maximise their score using guesswork. And the paper had a lot of scope for logical guessing. But I don’t think it will increase the cutoff drastically. CSAT will be the main culprit for the increased cutoff. All the engineers who failed last year trying to solve math questions have passed with flying colours in CSAT this year.

Yes very true.. I find just 20 questions solvable with knowledge... Probably cut off 70 jaundi. In WHS, did wrong because not read carefully "2023" and similarly some of my known did same mistake

I have talked many people on reddit and most are scoring 90+. Idk they are lying or they are actually scoring well.

@@thecivilsclubsir gave 2022,2023 and had cleared 2023 ….jab paper de raha tha tab mujhe bas ye dekh ke relief hua ki option chalo 2023 jaise nahi hai to araam se 90+ karlumga like 2022 but end end mei hi pura andaza hogaya ki bhai ye paper to bahit hi factual hai aur examiner ne bahut choti choti jagah fasane ka game banaya hai elimantion waale question mei …..to laga sirf 5 marks upar jayega previous year se ….. Rahi baat csat ki…mei maths pe Hi rely karta tha aur 2023 bhi mene maths ke sahare hi nikala tha aur is baar mene 4-5 saal ke pyq aur thoda comprehension karke gaya tha…i can say ki jo dono pe depend karta hoga ya sirf english pe unko to difficult araam se laga hoga aur rahi baat maths waalo ki to mujhe nahi lagta paper easy hua tha …toughness of question were same but apnea pnc ke question nahi aaye the to logo ko kuch object karne ke liye mila nahi issbaari

Honorable Sir, I am a 23-year-old male and have been dedicatedly preparing for UPSC. Despite my earnest efforts, I made some mistakes in my first attempt. My preparation has been entirely self-guided, without any coaching or classes. I have previously appeared for the SSC CHSL exam four times without selection. Given my family's financial constraints, I find it challenging to afford the expenses associated with these exams, including the Rs. 2000 fee for travelling to and from the exam center. My family is advising against applying for clerical jobs, suggesting instead that I focus on rigorous preparation for the next two years from home. I am had prepared truely intensely for the Prelims 2024. However, "social pressure" to secure a job is mounting, though not from my parents. In this situation, I seek your esteemed guidance on whether I should continue attempting clerical exams or adhere to my family's advice to focus on preparation from home for a more extended period. Your advice will be invaluable in helping me make an informed decision about my future path.

No Brother , If you have any doubt about UPSC CSE, so just secure one job first and satisfy and safe yourself ,and it would ultimately boost your confidence and after that go for UPSC ,bcz this very exam is very challenging.

Given the the diffusion of IT that we live with. One can absolutely spend minimal by preparing from home. Been there done that.

I know sir from almost a year and he is not the type of guy who will tell lies only for the sake of his coarse. What he is telling is his analysis it may come true and may not be . In case if not we should not blame him anyway for this . Be mature brother and best of luck.
