This is much like what happens when poor people suddenly acquire wealth. The first thing they do is go out and buy large ticket items. Well, who have been some of the poorest people in our society? Single black mothers! To me that makes sense. They’ve never held positions of power either and now suddenly without much guidance in that area, they truly don’t know how to handle it. Frankly, I seems rather odd that the overly exaggerated intellect (" let me educate y'all!") failed to realize the obvious in that she was not a Super Mayor,but she should've forever been entitled the "The " Peoples Mayor"instead.
