Okay I just made this and I feel like the size 12 is smaller than the measurements listed, but I agree on lengthening the straps for the bust area the sit lower. I did just get some nicer fabric to hopefully make all needed adjustments on the 2nd round with this pattern!

Mel, I'm not sure if it was this video or another recent one where you asked us to share other interesting online fabric stores. There is Former and Latter Fabrics in Edmonton Canada. They seem to get in high quality fabrics at a great price. They are also now selling LDH (Canadian owned) quality well priced scissors.

I enjoy listening to other people's reviews of their sewing journeys. I realised a couple of things you said were also true about me like when you were talking about your fabric preferences and the importance of fit and so on. You inspired me to sew more challenging things, like for example there's this dress that I like and I have no idea yet how to sew it😅 There's nothing like wearing your own clothes. Sewing is so rewarding. I've been sewing for a year now and I'm proud to say my entire summer wardrobe is handmade and unique. Subscribed!

Why do you serge your enclosed seams?
@MadeByMelm4 ай бұрын
Great question! It isn't always necessary to finish enclosed seams, but i do tend to finish all my seams so that they will last longer (especially if the fabric loves to fray!) Plus, I was just excited to use my new serger! 😊
