If you dont have a 3rd generation taco get one, if you dont have a 5th gen 4runners get one! Pure reliability. I have more faith with my wifes 4 cylinder Rav4 trd off road than a new turbo 4 cylinder truck. I hope toyota figures this out. Because people buy toyotas for reliability.

Seriously .. putting 33's to 37's with no regearing .. let's see I figure 9 to 11 mpg. My Tacoma with a 4Wheel Camper on it weighs in at 6000 lbs .. and I run BFG KO2's 265/75 16" .. stock tires were 265/70 16" .. I needed an 'E' rated tired because of the camper. I get 16/18 mpg. I just did the White Rim Trail in Moab with this setup.
I can't believe that these folks are adding 35's with no gear change. What you end up with is a gutless truck that sucks alot of gas .. basically a Mall Crawler. I guess I look for performance over looks. I just did the White Rim Trail in Moab with a 2022 Tacoma 4dr TRD Off Road and 4 wheel Camper .. BFG KO2's 265/75 16" and that was it. I have a built up Explorer that's on 33's with 4.10's and all the goodies for rock crawling which I never do but yet I did many of the trails in Moab ... try your ride before you start adding lifts and tires, etc.
Because the new Tacoma is so new there is no aftermarket option for re gearing just yet, the company is still prototyping it to make sure there is no issues. It’s definitely a plan to upgrade the gearing ratio once it becomes available though 🤙
Wish this came with an NA v6! Going to buy a slightly used 3rd gen instead...

Make sure if you have JBL speakers that you get your portable JBL flip speaker that goes in the middle of the dashboard. I work for a Toyota dealer if doubts.

this gen just aint it, looks wack. Not even your build but the truck in general, looks ugly. Plus with that little 4banger, you cant even load it very much.
Never buy the first run edition wait till 2025 or 2026 to bug out the issues. We are looking at a new Tacoma. Buy stock save money add the upgrades later. Big mistake when I bought my pro I ended upgrading the suspension anyway.

@tacomabeast Turns out for the money I spent on my Trd pro 4runner. I got leather stitching seats, jbl system, trd skid plate and fox shocks. I was a fool. None of that stuff made it wheel any better than the trd off road version which cost about 10000 cheaper than the trd pro. And it still needed a three inch suspension lift and bigger tires and spc upper control arms to move the tires forward for less rubbing diff dtop kit, blah blah blah blah. And it still rubs slightly. If I do it again with the Tacoma I'm going stock with the add on sway bar disconnect. I'll put my own after market suspension on ,way better than the pro version, and cheaper. You should know this. It's not even real leather. This is why not. And yes I do have both.... now!!!! after unless you're made of money, no biggee . My lift wheels and tires cost me 12000. So I paid like 60 grand for a 48 thousand dollar in 2020 to get it to where a trd off road allready was. It just didn't have fox shocks. I think the Tacoma pro version has a more powerful engine upgrade. I'd like to get the better engine in stock Tacoma and then build it. The extra money you spent on the package should be plenty for some suspension and upgrades with some to spare.

Was looking at one of these and now I'm a little scared. That overheating seems like it would be an issue with the amount of load, but even then, tires, roof rack, bed rack, bumper gear...that's still gotta be under payload right? someone smarter than I am, let me know if maybe this is just a 'modded issue' as I'd likely be going stock for a while.

Hey! We never graffitied anything, one of our videographers scratched a rock with our company name. While we recognize it’s still a terrible thing to do it’s not as damaging as spray paint (which we would never do). We agree that it was a terrible mistake and have since gone back to clean the markings but they had been washed off by the rain the day prior. On top of that we’ve partnered with tread lightly to raise over $10,000 for desert cleanup and have advocated for people cleaning up after themselves when they’re out on the trails. We still actively donate to trail cleanup campaigns every year and have learned more about keeping our environments clean. I love my 2014 Toyota Tacoma Pre Runner crew cab! I bought her new & she has about 112,000. She still looks brand new & I will never sell her. She has never had any issues & has taken us on many road trips & brought us home safely. Again, NEVER SELLING HER! 🥰👊🏽❤️
