Is it mandatory to preload the spring 2 turns? Or will 1 turn be enough? My new spring had a wire band holding in in prewind. Can I just leave the wire on , set the spring in place and the cut the wire that holds it in prewind? By the way, nice video. Thanks

Not completely fair, under pressure the oil moves much quicker than having an open system test.

That's the first time anyone ever confirmed to me that these actually have oil pumps I didn't think these small engines had them. I thought they were like lawnmowers they just splashed it around thanks for a great video 😊

Super helpful, I used this trick today to get the bearings out. The extension ended up getting stuck in the bearing after I knocked it out of the hub. I used a blowtorch to heat it up and knock it up.

Good video Josh. Just a heads up for his viewers... In this video Josh is using "Extreme Simple Green Aircraft and Precision Cleaner". Unlike the other Simple Green products, it is safe on aluminium. The other Simple Green products corrode and imbrittle aluminium. (For this reason, the Simple Green website says that you ahould not leave Simple Green on a surface for more than 10 minutes) So dont get lazy and think that they are interchangable. Especially in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Does not say why original carbs have petcock up for off. Middle angle for reserve and horizontal for riding. Now carbs have petcocks pointing in all different directions. I Oems have petcock down for driving. It's all screwed up. Why the different petcock positions. Doesn't make sense. So you can't keep your bike looking stock with a down petcock. Stupid stupid. So who knows the answer. This guy has no clue. BS

Dude, do realize how valuable the CT70"H" frames/bikes are? I wouldn't do any permanent modifications to that frame. If it were mine I'd restore it back to ALL original specs/condition. But that's just me, I don't really know the whole story on the bike.

Well it seems that the new OEM Honda tubes do not work. I have bought two of them. I just tried my second one, and it isn't anywhere close. My bike was missing the right handlebar or I would have used the original. I just purchased a used one off of eBay. 🤬

Great video, thanks! So I am missing second gear (always)...N,1,3 seem decent. II'll get some proper oil for it JIC. But if you were the betting type would you say the fork to shift star @ 6:15 or deeper in? All original bike w/1200 miles on it. Thanks so much!

That's a 69 Z50 Silver Tag. Why wouldn't you restore it to original rather than a restomod. Wouldn't original hold more value?
