Is it mandatory to preload the spring 2 turns? Or will 1 turn be enough? My new spring had a wire band holding in in prewind. Can I just leave the wire on , set the spring in place and the cut the wire that holds it in prewind? By the way, nice video. Thanks
were the hubs painted from the factory or just raw aluminum?
I really like those cl70s. I'm planning on building one myself. I'm currently working on it's sporty brother a ss50z k3.
Love the Color I am going to build a Candy Orange
Thanx Alot . .
Just tried to look you up and shows nothing
Where can i find the logo stencil? Thanks
Not completely fair, under pressure the oil moves much quicker than having an open system test.
thank you very much nice vid
That's the first time anyone ever confirmed to me that these actually have oil pumps I didn't think these small engines had them. I thought they were like lawnmowers they just splashed it around thanks for a great video 😊
Update please if it's still holding up
What is that plate called that is held on by the long bolt and it has the number 22 on the inside I broke part of it on my engine and I can’t find the name of it
Thanks for sharing and teaching, much appreciated
Super helpful, I used this trick today to get the bearings out. The extension ended up getting stuck in the bearing after I knocked it out of the hub. I used a blowtorch to heat it up and knock it up.
Very clear instruction but the fact that a man is wearing fingernail polish is weird. Hope that the Lord grants you repentance.
Very impressive👍
Same for ct 70 ??
Would this work on a 72 ct90? With oem handlebars
Josh your videos are brilliant, you have a real gift for teaching and explaining better than anyone else in webland! Thanks so much, following these I am having a really enjoyable time restoring my Z50 Hardtail - cheers again dude
Wow love your teaching brother thanks
Does not show how to replace speedo rubber going between housing and speedo. He's a jerk. BS
Somebody should invent an adapter for a cordless drill / driver and be done with the rope-spring contraption.
Good video Josh. Just a heads up for his viewers... In this video Josh is using "Extreme Simple Green Aircraft and Precision Cleaner". Unlike the other Simple Green products, it is safe on aluminium. The other Simple Green products corrode and imbrittle aluminium. (For this reason, the Simple Green website says that you ahould not leave Simple Green on a surface for more than 10 minutes) So dont get lazy and think that they are interchangable. Especially in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Hello Josh, I need your help to hook up my headlight on ATC 70 however the headlight belongs to ATC 90 I got two black wires. I don’t know where they go to the yellow one is hot. I’m stuck can’t figure it out. The light turns on hi and low stay on can you help thank you?
Essential information thank you!
Does not say why original carbs have petcock up for off. Middle angle for reserve and horizontal for riding. Now carbs have petcocks pointing in all different directions. I Oems have petcock down for driving. It's all screwed up. Why the different petcock positions. Doesn't make sense. So you can't keep your bike looking stock with a down petcock. Stupid stupid. So who knows the answer. This guy has no clue. BS
Hi vintage Honda i have a 1975 cb125s and am having trouble finding a throttle cable do you have any suggestions were i could find one? Thanks
Have you tried Motion Pro?
Does not show how to replace rear rear brake cable. Bs. Bs
Excellent video. So, the CHP piston is installed with the large dot to the left? They don't mark the piston like TB.
Great teaching brother that very help full
Ok with that but what if that piston finds in the head in a honda c50 6volto hello from greece am asking you original crank shasf and cylinderhead what is your opinion thought what i must change?
Price ?
Wow love this teaching thanks brother
Dude, do realize how valuable the CT70"H" frames/bikes are? I wouldn't do any permanent modifications to that frame. If it were mine I'd restore it back to ALL original specs/condition. But that's just me, I don't really know the whole story on the bike.
Will always support you Josh
I seen that Josh , that's BS
Nice bike annoying music.
So do they make new ones that actually fit correctly?
Well it seems that the new OEM Honda tubes do not work. I have bought two of them. I just tried my second one, and it isn't anywhere close. My bike was missing the right handlebar or I would have used the original. I just purchased a used one off of eBay. 🤬
@@eastcoastpalominocollector3970 thanks for the info. I think I'll be looking for an old one as well.
I need to connect it to the carb ! Why'd you stop ?
Great video, thanks! So I am missing second gear (always)...N,1,3 seem decent. II'll get some proper oil for it JIC. But if you were the betting type would you say the fork to shift star @ 6:15 or deeper in? All original bike w/1200 miles on it. Thanks so much!
Grate information thanks
What is the sealed battery
Great video!!. Where did you find out the proper amount of oil of each fork ? I am asking you because I have to replace the oil in a 1994 Honda ST70 and I can not find information anywhere. Thank you !!
Use an acid or a base next time assssshole
Thank You! Have a similar Gun coming in the mail for doing small car parts.
Nothing is like a original engine

That's a 69 Z50 Silver Tag. Why wouldn't you restore it to original rather than a restomod. Wouldn't original hold more value?
