Scratch builder and kitbasher of all things Warhammer 40K and Warhammer adjacent.
Hi, I'm Chris and I've been on KZread since 2018 as a content creator in the Sim Racing space. But, I like to make things, and I've been building and painting oddball Warhammer 40K models since I was a kid. So, it was inevitable that I'd end up starting this channel.

Lovely model! Your videos are so well made and I love watching you work on conversions like this. Cannot wait for the next one!
Finally, the jopall indentured squadrons gets a mention!!!
very good model, you never fail to wow me
Your videos (and conversions) just get better and better mate, the production on this one is insane! Also helps that you're damn fine at the hobby too!
Nice work, mate!
Underappreciated video!!
Love this ❤🙌🔥
I took inspiration for this frankly amazing build for my Chaos Warpsmith! Had to check the stats and they were so close to Terminator armor that I could give it the same treatment you did here!
I like your videos a lot
top tier conversion & video! cheers!
That looks badass!!
coolest base ever
God Adrian smith went hard on that piece
Stellar presentation, witty humor and solid creativity. This video shows your passion. You got a new subscriber!
Looking awesome man. Love it
My friend, I'm glad you did a cool Chaos lord from an awesome art piece
your editing is fucking incredible mate, great model too!
You've destroyed a ton of minis to create an average chaos space marine...
Those minis aren't being destroyed... He's literally turning them into a model. If he built a cataphractii and some chosen as instructed... All he'd have is a mass produced chunk of plastic that anybody could have. He took pieces and turned them into art
i ended up using some rubber o rings to increase the height of mine. Cool video!
You gained a subscriber. Well done.
nice to see you doing chaos
That base is almost as impressive as the model!
I love 40k because you can justify nearly anything by fudging the lore.
Haha, right?! I love the lore, but it's always been pretty, err, flexible!
I always figured the best kind of 40k lore is made by making something cool and then twisting the lore to justify it.
That base is spectacular! 👍
Brilliant as usual
Gracias amigo. Did you out to the N24 dude?
@@OffbeatBuilds No but going to Spa 24 in a couple of weeks. Good memories.
@@steveworrell - nice. Bit jealous! Have a good one mate.
I hope you also pop off you really deserve it!
Insanely good, love seeing models inspired by gorgeous retro artwork
Thanks dude!
Yet another absolute banger! Can't wait to see what else you make. I would love to see even more characters, I still remember the Tech marine you made not so long ago. Incredibly inspiring
Thanks man. I really prefer making Character models to be honest!
@@OffbeatBuilds id be awesome to see your take on named characters or other artwork inspired dudes. The one that first comes to mind is the Chaplain on the cover of Angels of Death Codex
Those're some gloriously nasty gore effects on the corpses in the pile
Haha, thanks. I can't resist the opportunity to turn up the Cartoonish side of Chaos.
Love it man ❤ good luck with the next kit bash
Thank you kindly!
Excellent conversion, looks bloody amazing!
Thanks, much appreciated!
Waist Management 😄👍 That corpse pile is very impressive.
Haha, I mean, if you're making a corpse pile, you go all in!
Looks really cool dude well done! Any further plans into csm kitbashes?
Thanks dude, much appreciated. Yeah, lots as it happens! Chaos are, and always have been the faction I'm drawn to the most in the 40K universe. Not sure what's next, need to scratch the "flyer" itch first for the "good guys" ;)
@@OffbeatBuilds sounds intriguing can’t wait to see! Can I make a request you look into the dark mechanicum and the kaban machine?
@@warp-smith - It's on my list ;)
Adrian Smith is one of the few artists to DEFINE the Warhammer aesthetic and make it unlike anything else. I'm surprised GW doesn't shell out the dollars to keep him on contract. Thank you for giving him props, really nice homage!
Couldn't agree more. Adrian's work pretty much defines how I visualise Chaos in particular.
Can you make a obliterator chaos lord
Yeah dude, I've got a new set of obliterators on my list of ideas I'm working though - kinda based on this piece of art: i.pinimg.com/736x/a2/a0/24/a2a024f8e62de7f4ad1cb2a8d9f8afa5.jpg
👍👍
cool, so you took away all the ground clearance _ensuring_ that it does a bloody endo as soon as it meets the first bump or rock in the road... you _didn't_ fix anything.. made a cool hot-rod for on smooth flat surfaces, but totally ruined it functionally as a war buggy. Function before fasion. 2/10
I don't think a new person to the hobby can do a "fix" like this
INDIGAN PRAFECTS MENTIONED
Zinge makes some awesome bits
How to make your expensive 40k army twice or 3 times more expensive , nice work though
S as mason has the plastic pipes
So this is an amazing video, because not only is it short. if it were long I would watch the whole thing
Hey! how and where can I get that glue and the green stuff?
Awesome Kit Bash , love the effort u put in it
Very cool id love to see a part 2 with other regiments that might have a bit more complex techniques to get regiments like the vostroyan first born or Valhalla or talarn desert rangers.
The withered irons kinda sound fitting since these iron warriors are slowing decaying like rust.
Depending on how they approach the rust theme, it could be quite a few names. "The Everusting" if they don't like it, can't do anything against it, but use it against others, because what else is left? "Entropied Brethren" if they embraced the concept and spread it like papa Nurgle spreads his gifts. If you want to be a little ironic, and all silly go with "Antioxidizers". Finally, if you want it to be a bit pretentional, yet anegdote worthy, name them Group CLF3. ClF3 is the chemical formula of Chlorine Trifluoride, made in 1930 by some "peculiar" german scientists. It is an oxidizer beyond compare, it self-ignites when you look at it wrong, it explodes water on contact, creates caustic and corrosive gasses and/or acids when burning and is able to ingite: glass, wet sand, asbestos and everthing you love and cherish. Burning at 2 400 degrees Celsius, it can almost boil steel and go through concrete and gravel like they were out of butter. Fun stuff.
I reckon this'd be cool for an Inquisitorial Retinue proxy - different Guardsmen from all across the Imperium. And that way you only need one of each
