If i press - and + together what s happend?
Can you do a video on how you pay you tax (if you use an app etc) looking at going self employed but not too sure on how you do it, apologise if you have already done a video I can’t find it if so
On that cistern repair for what you're charging them why not alter the inlet supply properly as you'll be back there again when those long flexys start to leak. You're always apologising for having to do things 1 handed, invest in a body cam and those jobs will take less time & effort & the customer gets a better job done as opposed to doing it cackhanded. As for the boiler repair you know there's going to be water when you pull that old prv out so you could of had your wet vac to hand no excuses and again apologising for doing it one handed! Not the way to show youngsters learning the trade to do things with one hand, and that's where accidents happen. You say you're quiet , but that cistern job you could of altered that pipework and earnt a bit more money whilst you were there. As an observation you always appear to be rushing things and doing half a job . If you had emptied the cistern before you removed the flush pipe you wouldn't of had to use the pump. Before you screwed rhe cistern up you could of cut the new flush pipe inserted it into the pan and then dropped the cistern down onto the flush pipe saving you less of a struggle . You also have your mini milwaukee level which is ideal for making sure the flush pipe is level . No excuses . I wouldn't be happy if I saw my plumber trying to repair my boiler 1 handed because he's filming content . That's when filming stuff becomes a priority over your job as a plumber !!
Thanks for you constructive circumstances, as it happens I have purchased a body cam but with the angle for the boiler there was no way I’d get the right angles for the video with a body cam. Also not all customers have the money to ch age everything just because it’s not up to scratch it’s been in the best part of 10 years and not leaked who am I to say it needs changing now. I repaired what they needed changing to stop water coming through the ceiling. The pipe had cracked so didn’t want to flush the cistern any more than I needed to as it was poring through the ceiling below, hence why I pumped it out. All my customers are asked if they are ok with me filming content for the job. At the end of the day asking as the job get complete I’m not charging them for the extra time filming they are happy. So I don’t see what you problem is
Sorry but this video is not helpful at all - far too fast and camera too far from detail
How long was that leaking for im lucky had a few big jobs but yeah only ideally small jobs and finding kit wise merchants are getting more and more expensive finding there’s no such trade account anymore apart from you get 30 days to pay
You’re 100% right there’s no such thing as an actually trade discount now
england were useless no balls and heart too much respect for spain
Embarrassing, we will never win anything with Kane up front
Need 9.0 for plumbers/eating engineers. Bit heavy but fits everything
I’ve got that for my boiler service bag
Im a bit quiet at the minute think its just coming to holiday time.Mainly changing rads at the minute.enjoy your channel
Thanks for the support mate I think a lot of people are
Go on mate and go on England. Good job
It’s coming home!!!
@@SmartPipePlumbing I really hope so. Need a bank holiday
Great vid! Nice to see some honesty too! Personally, I think a lot of the big premium branded bags are aimed at Sparks - they all seem to be good in concept but just lacking a little. I’m currently using the Velocity 4.5 backpack - it’s nice and quite good but use it for servicing or quick jobs only, my Dewalt McLaren I’d say is probably more suited! Keep em coming bro!
Cheers mate you definitely right there good in concept but practically they don’t work for everyone
@@SmartPipePlumbing I’ve been wanting to do a video like this myself for a while but still trying to find the perfect setup before doing it 😂 I’ll keep you posted but let me know if you have any ideas for the OTMC and the SDLD!
I have the same one, definitely more for sparks etc than plumbers, I’m a spark and it works fine with me with screwdrivers, volt tester, pliers snips and grips, does most jobs with what it carries. However I agree about the two long pockets- totally pointless and the Velcro top that never stays down, I also find it tops foward very easily but it’s convenient size and seems well built.
I agree I like the size for what I want it for but just need tweaking a little to make it better
Main issue it’s made by Velocity. 💩💩💩
Never understand why people hate on someone who says he doesn't like the bag if he thinks its shite ,then other people come along and then tbf say hes right ,so just makes me wonder about the others saying its so good 😂
I’ll always be honest, would love for them to improve the bag as it’s got so much potential
The velocity soldering bag is incredible
Need a few using that as a standard plumbing bag aswell
I blame the immigrants
😂😂😂
@@SmartPipePlumbing congratulations on 10k my man
You really dont need a tool bag of that size with the amount of tools you have.. A more compact bag wouid be more fitting. The bag itself is probably heavier than the tools. Based on observation, i can tell the bag is top heavy because it's too high and the base is too small. I'm annoyed by thst bag already and i don't own it, i'd sell it quick.
Thanks for the advice do you have tips of which bag to get?
@@SmartPipePlumbing I've been looking at tool totes and tool bags for awhile and bought many. Veto pro pack, DeWalt bags, husky, tough built, and many others. I'm a full time handyman so I have quite a few bags for different trades. For plumbing I settled with husky 14" large mouth. Husky makes very good bags and I consider them prograde. The other bag I settled with is welkinland 14" tool bag, which I use for electrical. My main set up is a husky bucket sleeve and bucket which I used for larger jobs, etc. One thing I have learned over the years is you really don't need a large bag to do most residential work. simple, light, and quality is what I prefer. Good luck on your hunt.
@@qzetu I’ll have a look at them I’ve never heard of either
what are plumplums? The third tools you showed in the bag. Anyone?
Plumb chums they are used to black radiators of and can also carry radiators with them
i’m a gas engineer i use that bag as an electrical bag to change programmers or motorised valves etc keeping connector blocks spare fuses a multimeter as well stored in there
I’ve thought about doing the same to be fair
I just stick with VETO and buy on their twice yearly promotions, they are all made in China anyway.
I’m thinking veto next time to be fair
Can’t see a link to Dan stokes ? ?
Sorry forgot to put them in www.techersltd.com
Find them expensive and more of a fashion statement for tradesmen. Don’t know anyone that’s got one
They are good quality but I know what you mean 😂
No no no you can’t diss velocity products. Next you’ll be telling me unilights are crap, rhino trade insurance is gash, Ct1 is junk and Tradify is a con 😮
@@randomcamerajunk6977 CT 1 is overpriced and No better than say Soudal grab adhesive which is half the price.
You got it all bang on 😂😂
Veto Pro Pac
yeah, they have the same problems.
@@wim0104 not really, a similar Veto bag opens the opposite way, the Velcro part is at the bottom and it pulls back up and over. Also many of the Veto bags are now modular and have what they call v-swap panels so you can customize the various pockets that are inside your bag.
Put some plastic beakers in the front to stand the tools up.
Maybe but should have to when the bags are worth what they are
Try the “n.b 200” it is a good bag and I would recommend it
Isn’t it basically the same bag?
@@SmartPipePlumbing no it has tape holder and inside the bag has more pockets it was designed by that electrician nick bundy
Just get yourself a tech mct
I’ll have a look had quite a few recommend veto
Agreed next step for you would be veto mct...small but can carry plenty..
Or even the veto tpxxl ?
I have the tech mct and the tpxxl, the tpxxl is the one I use all the time now. Can carry everything I need for service and repair, the mct does as well but I found it a pain having to open both sides and keep rotating it. Lazy I know!
I thought I was the only one. I have this bag and have the same issues. Love my 5.0 however
Glad it’s not just me then, I’ll have a look at the 5.0 what do you use it as?
I want to take this off of your hands. How much are you looking for?
Hope velocity listens to your recommendations cos I’d buy the bag again if they improved it.
Fingers crossed they do
Good video. I feel the same it's too small for a main service bag I use mine for electrical work like replacing the thermostat and diverter valve heads. I've replaced it with the Dewalt 2.0 tool bag it's a little better
It’s got potential to be a really good back just need changing slightly
Personally i think all this velocity stuff is overpriced and not needed. Had a metal cantilever fold out box , £25 from Halfords for years. I like tool boxes / holders that you can just chuck your tools in at the end of the day. I'm currently using a Dewalt power tool case as my my main toolbox. Just chuck the tools back in and no organising.
See I like to be organised and not have to mess around looking for tools
Tbh there will never be a perfect bag mainly because your kit changes over time. There’s too much space or never enough space. Pockets are too big or too small and everything in between… not bad for free though I suppose
@@elcapitancamthat’s true. Iv lost count how many bags/ boxes iv had over years. Next time I’ll do what a joiner I know does, couple of plasterers mixing buckets (the long white ones) with everything thrown in.
I have this bag I love it but yea I have the same problems as you to be fair
It’s got so much potential to be a great bag just needs a few tweaks
👍😎👍
🙌🙌
I bought my wife the Velocity Rogue 3.0 XS as a jobbing bag for Christmas. She loves it and has no complaints
I’ve got that one already and use it for installs I might swap and use it for jobbing instead
Hate is not you. You not keen or impressed with this tool bag 😊
Try Toughbuilt bags i have both including Velocity and all way end up going back to my Toughbuilt bags if im honest 👍
I’ll have to have a look not seen much of them, where can you get them from?
I've got the toughbuilt and love it
4.0 XS?
I’ll have a look at that do you have one?
Definitely agree with you. Id imagine it serves a purpose for some lads but not plumbers
Sparkies I imagine, they don’t carry much tools
@@SmartPipePlumbingAnd don’t clean up so don’t have to carry Dustpan and brush 😂
@@Danfrank24I’m a spark and carry a dustpan and brush and a vacuum! 😂
@@richard3004 rarer than hens teeth haha
@@Danfrank24😂🤣
I find it hard having a grab bag… always end up going back to the van for something. I just carry one tool bag with everything in. But then wish I had a grab bag 😂 can’t win
I find it easier than lugging all my tools in to every job, I can take a lighter bag in if needed for them small jobs
@@SmartPipePlumbingI used to think like that but now i just have one main veto bag i take into everyjob at least now they can't take my tools when the van gets broken into which has happened quite a few times now.😅
So many people love this tool rucksack and are willing to pay top dollar. Finally someone who doesn't.
Glad I didn’t waste my money on it, it will be going very soon 😂
👍🏻 Great job. Lots of awkward things to overcome, but you made it look easy. Do you offer training? I know a few plumbers who could use your guidance. 😂 The lads I know were crap at everything before they were plumbers, and now they're crap at being plumbers too.
Hahah brilliant unfortunately I ain’t good enough to be teaching anyone anything 😂
Ayy
10k, good luck everyone
Give away has finished now sorry
Lovely to see you again. It was a great show!
Yes it was! Looking forwards to next year already
Those poo pipes are a nightmare?
I’ve been using 2 veto bags for a few years now , they are the best imo and I would never change , the price puts a lot of people off buying one but I can honestly say they are well worth the investment… Cheers Mac…. 👍
Might swap over to veto next time
Get the tool bag tour done
Coming this Sunday
@@SmartPipePlumbing good didn't you do one ages ago with Stanley bag? Then the velocity
@@jacko2815 yeah done a few Stanley bags and the velocity 3.0 and 9.0
Veto tp xxl is the best for me to date
Had a few recommend that one
Not really a grab bag the tpxxl. It's quit big
Is the bull fix adapter bracket available yet ?
Not yet will be a couple of weeks away
