So many people love this tool rucksack and are willing to pay top dollar. Finally someone who doesn't.

Good video. I feel the same it's too small for a main service bag I use mine for electrical work like replacing the thermostat and diverter valve heads. I've replaced it with the Dewalt 2.0 tool bag it's a little better

Great vid! Nice to see some honesty too! Personally, I think a lot of the big premium branded bags are aimed at Sparks - they all seem to be good in concept but just lacking a little. I’m currently using the Velocity 4.5 backpack - it’s nice and quite good but use it for servicing or quick jobs only, my Dewalt McLaren I’d say is probably more suited! Keep em coming bro!

@@SmartPipePlumbing I’ve been wanting to do a video like this myself for a while but still trying to find the perfect setup before doing it 😂 I’ll keep you posted but let me know if you have any ideas for the OTMC and the SDLD!
I have the same one, definitely more for sparks etc than plumbers, I’m a spark and it works fine with me with screwdrivers, volt tester, pliers snips and grips, does most jobs with what it carries. However I agree about the two long pockets- totally pointless and the Velcro top that never stays down, I also find it tops foward very easily but it’s convenient size and seems well built.

I find it hard having a grab bag… always end up going back to the van for something. I just carry one tool bag with everything in. But then wish I had a grab bag 😂 can’t win

@@SmartPipePlumbingI used to think like that but now i just have one main veto bag i take into everyjob at least now they can't take my tools when the van gets broken into which has happened quite a few times now.😅
Never understand why people hate on someone who says he doesn't like the bag if he thinks its shite ,then other people come along and then tbf say hes right ,so just makes me wonder about the others saying its so good 😂

@@wim0104 not really, a similar Veto bag opens the opposite way, the Velcro part is at the bottom and it pulls back up and over. Also many of the Veto bags are now modular and have what they call v-swap panels so you can customize the various pockets that are inside your bag.

You really dont need a tool bag of that size with the amount of tools you have.. A more compact bag wouid be more fitting. The bag itself is probably heavier than the tools. Based on observation, i can tell the bag is top heavy because it's too high and the base is too small. I'm annoyed by thst bag already and i don't own it, i'd sell it quick.

@@SmartPipePlumbing I've been looking at tool totes and tool bags for awhile and bought many. Veto pro pack, DeWalt bags, husky, tough built, and many others. I'm a full time handyman so I have quite a few bags for different trades. For plumbing I settled with husky 14" large mouth. Husky makes very good bags and I consider them prograde. The other bag I settled with is welkinland 14" tool bag, which I use for electrical. My main set up is a husky bucket sleeve and bucket which I used for larger jobs, etc. One thing I have learned over the years is you really don't need a large bag to do most residential work. simple, light, and quality is what I prefer. Good luck on your hunt.

Personally i think all this velocity stuff is overpriced and not needed. Had a metal cantilever fold out box , £25 from Halfords for years. I like tool boxes / holders that you can just chuck your tools in at the end of the day. I'm currently using a Dewalt power tool case as my my main toolbox. Just chuck the tools back in and no organising.

Tbh there will never be a perfect bag mainly because your kit changes over time. There’s too much space or never enough space. Pockets are too big or too small and everything in between… not bad for free though I suppose
