Welcome all, to 85D Studios (Previously ‘British Railways’). This channel will feature content displaying Britain’s fabulous heritage trains, mainly the Severn Valley Railway. A beautiful railway, with brilliant staff, rolling stock, infrastructure and scenery, a place also where I’m a volunteer. The majority of content will most likely be from here, however there will be content from other surrounding railways like the Great Central Railway & Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, and also the odd Train Simulator video thrown in, in between!
I hope you all enjoy the content, and please consider subscribing, it is always much appreciated.
Please do not take footage without permission, all photographs and videos are mine, and mine only (unless stated otherwise) all work is copyrighted under copyright ©️85D Studios. Also, some footage may be taken from non public areas, this will be stated in the video when needed, please do not trespass on the railways.

what scenario is this
This is one I had custom made, it is not available to download anywhere.
What add ons are required to get this route?
All requirements are listed in the manual of the route.
@@85dstudios Thank you!
How do you get this train on train sim world 3 and 4 an also avanti west coast
Not available on train sim world unfortunately.
Not the worst horn mate, i had a lot worse
What RW enhancer settings do you use?
scnerio please
Why farewell to 2 engines?
It’s because the flying pig has got its boiler certificate expired and 34027 is having a piston examination and the overhaul and they are going to return the loco back to normal again with a proper Brunswick green livery and a proper number 34027

10:03 absolutely brilliant 😂
2024*
Magnificent mate I’ve come here on a 6th of January and I’ve finally got the chance to see the stanier LMS mogul with the old number of 2968
What spec pc would you need to run it ?
Nice to have 7812 back at the Severn valley railway after spending time away in Somerset
Where do u get the observation coach
Nicely done, great angles!
Thank You!
1:13 that pannier is trying to be a freight loco just like her other classmates did back in the days of steam
they were freight locos, BR allocated them power ratings of 3F/4F
@@85dstudiosI know
Great video. Like me
Love this, this line originally went to ashburton
We still get to see the panniers out and about
Today princess Elizabeth is out of action due to the oil leak in her boiler and the funds are trying to raise enough money to get her back
No, she failed due to a crack found in the firebox
The engine sound sounds like someone bashing a couple of tins together 🤣🤣
Today not a single manor loco has ever been seen on the mainline at all
Not in recent years unfortunately
What about 7802
@@85dstudiosyeah
@@SomersetTrainspotterthey are working on the engine at tyseley locomotive works

Beautiful opening shot.
Driven like a dream & a pleasure to watch. Really enjoyed this one. Keep up the great work - Alex.
I bet that weekend was brilliant great video
Nice video mate. I should probably put writing up like you do at the start of each shot. Especially those with PTS
It’s been confirmed that mayflower is confirmed for the Severn valley railway autumn gala visit and this is the locos second time visiting the Severn valley railway first time it visited the Severn valley railway was last year when they were doing the air braking system test on the engine
Yes, hopefully we get it this year as we’ve tried to get it a couple of times in the past and it was replaced by 45231
@@85dstudiosyeah and we’ve got three other engines joining that loco and Omaha is newcomer to the Severn valley railway and so is the Vulcan the bagnall engine and 41312 is coming here for the first time in 6 years
The spitfire and the hurricane are flying over here tomorrow afternoon
I did wonder if any of them would actually make it, seems all the days I’m down they’ve been cancelled. I’m not around tomorrow unfortunately as I need a break
@@85dstudiosthat’s okay
Its a good job you dont do this for real
Well done mate this videos absolutely blew up!
Cheers lad, yeah I was thinking that earlier actually!
Pendennis will be off again to the tyseley locomotive works for the castle celebrations
I travelled on this line last year, on my trip from Australia. It's a terrific operation. Great filming, especially of the goods.
Thank you very much! 😊
Btw are you using a sound pack for this Western? Just bought Western Hydraulics diesel pack off Steam and the horn on the 52 is totally different to the one in this video?
Yes, it’s the Armstrong Powerhouse Class 52 sound pack.
@@85dstudios Is this pack still available? Please can you send me a link?
@@spitfiregaming_ I don’t believe it is unfortunately. I did have a look earlier.
@@85dstudios Ah that’s such a shame. Thanks anyway 😄 (AP currently have a sale so I thought I’d see if I could get it cheap!)
It won’t be long mate til I get to see pendennis again this time at tyseley where it will reunite with the other stablemates to celebrate the castle locos centenary celebrations
great video I was there yesterday it was a great gala
Thank you, it was brilliant!
@@85dstudios yes i uploaded a video on my channel too of the gala
Great video, how do you get into that field at 3:01? I was there yesterday and couldn't seem to work it out.
Thanks. If you walk down the footpath that runs parallel to the dirt track there (it starts on the main road, just after the bridge you’ll see the public footpath sign) walk up there, and then carry on walking down the farmers track there, you should pass an open gate and on the left there’s an opening into another field, if you walk through that field you’ll see the line and the opening to it. There was loads of trampled grass there yesterday, just follow that and you’ll get there. I’m sure there’ll be other people heading there at the same time.
Thanks, that saved my shot of the Castle 👍
Looks like pendennis has ventured into the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire railway
Great coverage, looking to be a great gala this! Regards, Liam
Thank you, it was a brilliant day!
Fantastic video as always, nice to see my 6024 support coach getting some use at last. 🙂
Thank you! Hopefully it’ll be used a lot more now we have the Caledonia works 6024!
@@85dstudios Aye, I've still got a few more reskins to finish and get released, just finding the time and patients to finished them off though. lol
Fantastic as per usual, this is a great one to just listen too. Long live the King! (in both cases) Keep up the great work - Alex.
Thanks Alex!
Won’t be long now til we get 6024 back on the mainline again
As for lady of legend this is the first time for this loco to come to Somerset as a new build engine
And the different is that taw valley is only here for a spring gala visit and as for erlestoke manor this loco is staying here for the summer season
Yeah both 7812 erlestoke manor and 34027 taw valley are here to cover the unfit 4953 pitchford hall and the repairs taking too long on 7822 foxcote manor And this is the first time for taw valley to ever come to Somerset since the early 2000s And I’m now hoping that 7812 doesn’t suffer a piston failure like it happened with 7802 4 years before when that loco also paid a visit to Somerset
The incident with Bradley Manor is highly unlikely to be repeated again. What happened with 7802 in 2019 was specific to that loco at the time.
@Brad makes videos ah yeah so that means you got the name Bradley which is the same as the manor loco itself
Driven like a dream, excellent. And a proper engine too. Keep up the great work - Alex.
Thank you Alex!
Nice shots, is the second location publicly accesible or do you need a lineside pass?
You’ll be fine there, just stick to the hill there. You’ll know what I mean when you get there. About half a mile down Northwood Lane there’ll be a gate on the right, just hop over that and there’s a hill to the left of you. After you hop over the gate, the railway will right in front of you on the wall, walk up to the wall and walk parallel to the railway and you can get onto the hill easy on the slope behind it.
@@85dstudios cheers
Super video! Very enjoyable watch, I had a great weekend and I hope you did too 😊
Thank you very much! It was a brilliant weekend, very much enjoyed it myself! Four days though does have you tired by the Sunday!
Amazing! Love the valley and hope it gets through the next few months. Great filming!
Thanks! I think after the feedback from the gala, will be easier than we were initially expecting.
I came here on Friday and Ive caught 3 visiting engines I’ve been looking for including 4079 Pendennis Castle check them out
Never tire of these videos. Used to live near there , wish we still did!
