Throttle body RTL00187 from Hunter 350 is the solution. ABS is important, don't delete it

The CD175 was a great motorcycle, well engineered and well finished, but always put down by the billy big bollocks types who thought a high performance machine was required,even though most of them could not ride properly to save their lives Lots of older riders who grew up with brit bikes chose the CD and kept them many year's and did big mileages
I blew fork seals within a few weeks on my benelli but its a nice bike. I also have 500 bullet trials and a hinckley bonneville. Theyre all a compromise in their own way. I enjoy the Bullet trials most of all and am looking for an old BSA as that will do everything I want these days

These are truly underrated bikes that have somehow slipped under the radar. Congratulations! Their one fault is those darned Dunlop tyres. A radial with a modern tread pattern transforms these machines. I'm on Bridgestone, but there are others to choose from. Do yourself a favour.

Great work! I live virtually on the edge a rural satellite WW2 airdrome that flew most types and also saw the return of POW's being repatriated home in 1945. Many local folks claim to have experienced that some of these hero's are still quietly inhabiting the area, perhaps still keeping a silent watch over us......
Oh wow, how interesting! I'm sure a lot of these old airfields are full of history, which definitely makes it seem more spooky walking around, that's for sure!
Yes it can be quite a haunting area on a cold misty winters evening! We have an RAF flight corridor so we get the drone of C130 Hercules transports low overhead that sort of completes the picture! My wife works on part of the old airfield and claims to have seen personnel walk past her office window from time to time! Other area's in old converted hangers where operatives work are convinced that they see people in uniform but they are never scared by them. Some old out building's still exist along with shelters and parts of taxi ways etc. There were over 4000 personnel on the station but I have no idea where they were all billeted! 😉 @@adrobbo84

Benelli SOUNDS like a weak battery. TRY charging it.
Always hard to start if the battery is almost flat. Best invest in a trickle charger if the bike is in storage for a few months..
benelli tried to mess with RE in india2 yrs back with imperiale . result- it is vanished now and classic still does upwards of 25-30k per month , now they launches this with 500cc in form of qz500 , same fate- no takers😢😢😢

I owned both. No problem with either. If bikes been stood more than a month in winter always a good idea to charge before attempting a start. Harmful to battery if charge down. 👍🏻

@@johannesburgandri7867Very similar. Benelli more comfortable for me at 6ft 4 . Only down is rear shocks used to bottom out. Easily fixed. Enfield better if shorter. Personally I preferred benelli . But enfield a little better finished. So I would go with which you like look of and comfort.
The 350 classic for me is the truest retro bike on the market. Minimal plastic, aircooled and gadget free.

Compared to classic how do you like the imperialle?
It's still early days as I haven't had the RE long. The pros for the Benelli are performance. it's definitely quicker, and it has a gear indicator, which I miss on the RE. However, if you want nostalgia, quality sound, and a premium brand, then personally, I'd go for the RM.

Imperiale is the better bike, RE has more brand recognition, i tried both for long ride.
Imperiale is more refined.
For me the clocks on the Imperial...are the best fitted to any retro bike all you need easy to read

I've gone for a short Punjab silencer with removable baffle as it retains the cat. That also makes a much better sound than the very heavy multi baffled OEM silencer. Without the baffle its a blunderbus going off😊 But I will admit the Hitchcock one looks better without the heat shielding
Yes, I am tempted to put the original silencer back in or the baffles back as it is extremely loud whilst on the bike!
