Great job man you really know that wiring💪
@@stevenakn1 thanks man
Every thing on my cart checks out to your video except the very last test of the large wire with a green heat shrink, it will not creep up, it sits at 5 volts. Biggest wire upper right. Bad controller?
@@richardbingel1575 yes if all other voltages check out right. And the solenoid is clicking and showing voltage going across it.
On a 2007 clubcar precedent does tow mode disable the cart from moving.
@@jakurt9458 yes anytime you put it in tow it kills all power. So the cArt won’t mine. Unless you push it. If the cart ever breaks down, you put it in tow to tow it home or push it home. Don’t never push or tow the golf cart unless you have it in tow mode or if you’re going away for several months and you put it into so it won’t drain the battery. The whole time is in run.
Ok thanks I think my switch is bad it works in both modes. It must be stuck in run.
Do you have any videos on 98/99 txt 36v dcs?
@@troynagel8380 no sir haven’t seen one in a while. What’s wrong. I can help though. Fixed my share of those
@@HeyHeyHey97 I’ve watched your videos and have tested some of it using what I’ve seen. I’m no stranger to carts, gas or electric. But what I have going on is a cart with 37.3v at battery and battery side of solenoid. Same at key switch on both sides and pedal switch. Have the same voltage on all terminals of solenoid with tow/run switch in run. No voltage at its and no click at solenoid pressing pedal. Black and white wires on control have no voltage pedal up or down
@@troynagel8380 black lead on main negative. Put the red lead of your meter on the yellow wire on the small post on the solenoid. Or let’s do this first run you a jumper wire from the main positive to the small yellow post on the solenoid and let me know. If cart runs
@@HeyHeyHey97 I will do that and let you know what happens. Thanks
Still nothing happens. No click. And no movement
Love these longer videos.

What would be the difference on the A93 cart my solenoid is in a different location and looks a little different
It's the best video I have seen. Thank you for redoing your video and dumbing it down for people who need help understanding how to use a multimeter. So far, my 2000 EZGO PDS golf cart has yet to do anything. No sounds at all when turning on the key. I have replaced the controller twice, the key switch, and run the tow switch. I order all remaining micro switches, solenoids, and a new wiring harness, and I will replace them individually. But I want to watch this step-by-step video and not have to replace more than I need to. I hope to identify the problem. What happened was I put 2 12-volt chargers on 2 sets of batteries but did not remove any of the cables. I blew the fuse that was running from the frame to the ground. (32v 30amp). It has yet to run since.
@@raymondbower9754 you should never have a wire running from your batteries to your frame. EVER!!!!!
@@raymondbower9754 what you did with the battery chargers is nothing wrong. You did good on that part. Make sure you have no wires hooked to the frame from the batteries!!!
Four pin connector from the top green, red, black, white. The black pin needs to have power?? I have no power, solenoid clicks once, cart won't move, no voltage from pos to solenoid blue wire. Solenoid only clicks once per key cycle. I need to turn key off for it to click again when pressing throttle. Thoughts?
you have voltage on the yellow wire small post on the sol. Black lead on main negative. Of meter. Red lead of meter on small post solenoid yellow wire what do you get. Also the 4 pin plug your talking about what voltage do you have on white wire. .

My cart is the exact same as your the brake lights light up like parking lights but will not light up the brake lights when hitting the brakes and idk where to start
Thanks for watching my video. Do you have a volt meter
times that shotgun method works well
Like a champ
What if you don’t have voltage on the white wire going to the ignition switch
That comes from the controller. Run you a jumper wire from the main positive to the small post yellow wire.
Also. Make sure you have voltage in all 4 wires from tow switch plus make sure on the main harness that you have voltage on the 2 red wires on the bottom left For these test put volt meter dc 200 keep black lead on main negative all the time during the test.
I have battery voltage on all 4 wires at the tow switch and on the 2 red wires on the 10 pin plug just nothing at the white wire and white and yellow wire. Are you talking about running a jumper to the yellow wire on the solenoid?
@@meymey35 yes off the main positive
@@meymey35 that’s right then. Then the controller send battery voltage out the white wire to the key switch. Could be a bad controller. But tell me what happens when you run that jumper wire.
How easy is it to replace the spark plug wire?
@@BradenM-e2c easy but why are you trying to change it for?
I think I busted one. Doesn’t click on the spark plug anymore.
@@BradenM-e2c have you looked inside the wire to see if the snap is straight so it can pop on the plug. Also if so. Just pull the boot off at squeeze the snap some and the n push the boot back on. With some oil or something lubricant on the wire. Now remember this I never said it was easy to get the boot off.
Thanks got it fixed. Got another problem. Air filter compartment full of gas and the fuel filter looks full. Is the fix a carb clean or am I looking at a bigger issue?
@@BradenM-e2c clean carb. Is it a new carb or the original carb

I am working on a 36 TXT PDS at the moment. I can can make the solenoid hit when you jump it with pack voltage. The reed switch is bypassed for the Summit onboard charger but I have pack votage at the harness. All of the micro switches function but I am only getting 6v when it gets back to the F/R rocker, key switch, and foot switch. The cart has a DCX400 controller on it. Could there be something burnt in the controller after the reed switch?
@@KyleWhite-b6l run you a jumper wire from main positive to the small post on sol yellow wire and see if runs
@@KyleWhite-b6l also what does voltage show on all 4 post on the tow switch. Black lead on main negative and red lead on tow switch wires one at a time. Leave the black lead on main negative. During the test. And just move the red lead from wire to wire
@@KyleWhite-b6l my I just read what you said again and you said you can make the sol click when you give it pack voltage. Does it run when you give it pack bolatge

@golf Cart Whisperer!!!!!! What if there is only about 6 volts reading at the small relay posts on the solenoid?
@@MatthewSerafino what does battery voltage show. Test the battery but hit the gas while doing it.

How do you know what the studs are on the motor? Mine has 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom? Looks like a different motor than what you have. I’ve got a 1990 EZGO marathon. Thanks so much for your video! I’ve been dead in the water with my project… this is the first detailed video I could find online regarding wiring.
The studs that are near the end of the motor are going to be your ground and your hot wire. The studs that are closest to the ,rear end are going to come from your f n r board. If that doesn’t help let me know or if your studs are in a single up and down line of 4.
