    How difficult was the care refresh process? I've heard stories of DJI Acting like an insurance agent, finding any reason they can not to honor their coverage. Of course I hear these things after paying for the service. But I've not yet needed to use it. Any pitfalls? Or ways you need to worry about getting screwed? What if I'm not recording video at the time of a crash?

    In the USB C port, you need to activate the controller before the computer will pick it up as an input device. It will work with any mainstream simulator, I've personally used it with DRL Sim and TrypFPV. If you have the drone you activate the controller through the goggles. If you buy the controller before buying the drone you can activate it with DJI Assistant 2 For Consumer Series Drones Program.

    shouldn't the switch from manual to sport mide put the drone in stabilized mode? Well, for manual mode real fpv, I will continue flying my 5" Tanq and geprc mk5. And use the Avata for cruising, DJI produckt are brittle thermoplastic things

  • @xjet
    @xjetАй бұрын

    If you get a *real* FPV drone with carbon frame then a crash like that would have been nothing, perhaps just the broken prop. The Avata is so fragile in comparison to regular FPV drones that once you're able to fly manually you'd be far better off buying a propper FPV drone than wasting your money on care refresh replacements for the Avata each time you have a decent crash.

    I am going to fly mine in sport mode for a full year to get my money's worth of fun out my avata 2 before I flip it in manual and crash.

  • @KainniaK
    @KainniaKАй бұрын

    The avata 2 is a horrible horrible drone for learning acro for two reasons. 1) It's really fragile 2) It's underpowered. And so those beginners that wants to do rolls and loops withint 5 minutes they put themselves in a situation they can't get out. But if it would have had more power they would have been able to get out of it. That's why nobody should learn acro on an avata 2. Just fly in sport mode, that's fun as well. Get something light and repairable to learn manual with. Get really good first, then slowly explore the limits of the avata 2 in acro.

  • @KainniaK
    @KainniaKАй бұрын

    If it says sensor error don't switch to a mode that needs sensors. Land it asap and inspect it. Clean censors, and do a full calibration on everything. Any problems should show up during calibration.

  • @HermanMaaruf
    @HermanMaaruf26 күн бұрын

    It happened to me twice to make me understand. After IMU or sensor error detected, NEVER CHANGE MODE TO NORMAL or SPORT mode, fly home and stay in Manual mode until land and restarting the drone to continue flight.

    After the first impact, the gyros needed time to reset. If you switch outta manual mode during this time, the avata will go outta control. After minor impacts, fly home shut down, start up and you good.

    You think the broken propeller and frame wasn't indication that it may have broken more or perhaps was enough reason to struggle to maintain balance? The height in minus level also was giving it away besides sensor warning, probably good lesson learned after any bump to land and inspect or fly/hover low to the ground. Sorry to hear but glad care refresh is painless and saves the investment. 😅

  • @cipri198zero
    @cipri198zeroАй бұрын

    Lets not be discouraged. FPV = plenty of crashes. Care refresh is a MUST! And we need to keep in mind the emergency pause button, not the switch. After few hours in simulators, have some flights in real life without any stunts because we tend to become over confident. First flight in manual suppose to be a normal flight just to get the feel of how drone react. Then back to sim. So first few days with the Avata, no stunts! Build properly your muscle memory in simulator, you will know when you're ready. Its painful to see professionals in action and not being able to do the same but ask them how many times they crashed or how many times they tried to get the best shot. Its hard but its rewarding! I think patience and resilience is the key here.

    I felt every second of your flight and it made me stressed as much as you ! You did quite well for a 1st full manual flight in real life. After flying Mavic Air, M3P and M4P, I got the Avata 2 and started learning on uncrashed simulator.... I have not flown it yet in real world in accro mode.... That's why I was feel fully empathic with the way you did it. My learning curve is not that fast and I always feel astonished whenever I see freestylers or racers going at full speed with such an incredible virtuosity. Anyhow, care refresh is here to repair our noobs mistakes. I really found that you managed quite smoothly with nice turns and keeping steady low. After repair, you'll be good for many other go !
