  @@chincurtischatkai9710 yes you can but the original multiplayer is gone so you need to add the community mod like in the video

  @@JanaemAmpatuan you delete the file from generals and zero hour folder? you install the directx after extracting? try restarting after that. you might try genpatcher to do ither fixes that may help

  @@JanaemAmpatuan probably the directx still. you might try replacing that executable with a patched version, but it should still run on modern hardware with the proper directx

  there is absolutely no point to play with the original but the Battlezone mod...so is the battlezone mod available on steam and anyone playing with it online? I've seen people play with battlezone mod online but now that it released on steam idk how to do it.

  @@bzkenway have not heard of that problem. there may be some video card settings to change. you can try windowed mode. maybe possible to force it to run on one pc core

  In which game mode do you have low fps? try multiplayer create local game and play vs ai see if it also is low fps

  in gameRanger? try updating the game first with GenTool. GenPatcher gives it some more options too

  the subscription isn't a good deal and unfortunately they aren't sold individually now. but the collection is a great deal, especially if you wait for a sale. it's been going on sale for 50 percent off ($10)

  My game freeze after I change the native resolution (in-game) when I click on 1600x1200 the game freezes. The music is playing but the screen freezes. Appreciate the help.

  that's an old 4:3 resolution. I'd recommend changing the options.ini to your native widescreen res

  @@PhilipChute I tried that. It works but the game doesn't actually apply it in the sense that zoom is still 800x600. For whatever reason, GenPatcher only installed in the C&C Generals folder and didn't install in the Zero Hour. So, I copied that into the Zero Hour folder and it workes (Documents \.. data folder that is)

  Duse, all you needed to do to fix that issue with DX8. 1 wasro grab a GenTool and things would work perfectly fine!

  @@PhilipChute i remapped esc button to PgDn in my system, in Windows and cs2 too automaticaly got it too and everything worked fine until the last cs2 update, PgDn just doesnt work. I've updated the game around the same time as the driver. Could it be because of driver?

  Dude, I grew up with these games! Now my friends and I can play from our own homes! As a busy man and father of 2 I don't get more then a few hours a week to play anything but have always liked these c&c games. I greatly appreciate you sharing this update how to play online!

  Mate from Australia and I used to use Hamachi back when this came out. We both snagged ZH asap when it launched. We had so many hours of fun on comp stomps and doing outlandishly stupid stuff.

  Excited Steam released this C&C Generals Zero Hour game! Can anyone help me figure out how to use the Steam version of game with C&C Online (that forum hasn't answered this question, UGH) to set up Multiplayer with only friends who have the same Steam Version of the game after installing things like GenPatcher and GenTool, I'm talking about once running the game, creating a private game and only allowing friendds in so I can teach them how to play first as they never have played the game, and are not too familiar with RTS type games. Thanks!

  create a game with a password, then tell your friends the password. that way only they can join the game

  @@KenLJr your friend got the error? you can try using a very simple password like just the letter c to avoid problems with confused passwords, but not sure what else could be the problem if you are using the same version. I'll look out for any other solution
