Didn't they gave CNC a remaster? This one was more iconic at least in my experience so it deserves a remaster as well.

They gave CNC a remaster but it didn't make enough revenue for EA.

Had this on origin and ran this but now that it’s on steam I grabbed it again. Glad to see the MP still runs.

this game never dies, it has a very active modding community with modded maps and standalone mods, we welcome any new player! This Community offers free speech including general trash talk, and is even encouraged! NOTE! 3 things are excluded in this "free speech" =1: death threats 2 : doxxing 3 : political discussion is usually a bannable offence though! ( politics is divisive, keep this to your friends only please! ) that being said, most people dont get banned anyway, but keep trash talk to game related stuff only, we dont need to be extreme here!

this video made me want to buy the ultimate collection on steam right now. I was worried there would be a lot of problems running the good old RA2

yep! i had to add a directX package to run some of the others in the collection, but i had no problems with RA2 and playing online with that cncnet package was nice and easy

Very brave of you to jump into multiplayer without hardly remembering the controls. 😅 I played through single player campaigns in order to get used to the legacy controls and build orders again. 10 years sice I played this

haha yep, i could have an ego and try to always look like a pro, or i can quickly make guides for a bunch of games, but I've found it difficult to both haha i just try to be useful and accurate, plus it's good to know new players can still find low level games online

there is absolutely no point to play with the original but the Battlezone mod...so is the battlezone mod available on steam and anyone playing with it online? I've seen people play with battlezone mod online but now that it released on steam idk how to do it.

YR comes with the ultimate collection and uses this same cncnet client. at 13:16 you can see the channel selection at the top. i didn't realize at the time but i think i actually was in a YR room here

i learned it's all YR there, and base RA2 is a mode you can select on game setup
