This is great stuff
Too bad that you can't hear the sound.
Is this the same as dialogic OD?
Inarguably, Gervase Bushe provided a masterclass for OD practitioners in under 25 minutes.
This actually helps understand why people do all the opposite of what they commit to. I, included.
My only issue is that all of his examples/stories were of self-medicating or taking a medication/pharmaceutical drug or resisting. And my research studies have shown that most if not all pharmaceutical drugs do harm in the long run.
Just replace the medication/pharmaceutical drug with anything and it all applies. Listen for insights and not agreement.
So fluent, excellent explanation of development of idea of dialogic od, and its core characteristics
Hey Mam what is the concept of cross functioning policy guidelines
Great!!
Excellent
Shadow systems
wow! amazing
Thank you so much for this. I was struggling to understand my masters leadership course but this video really helped me finally "get it." I appreciate the time you put into this material. Again, thank you so much. I feel so much better.
From Capella University. So informative.
The bio leadership was very enlightening, great job here and very funny anecdotes thank you, Professor. Ta-Da!!!!🤣🤣
Dona! It was great. It helps me to design my change intervention in Immunity to change. Thanks
Beautiful ! Thanks for the value
This video provides an excellent overview of dialogic organization development, how it came about, its overall purpose, and how it functions directly from one of the founders. Thank you Dr. Gervase Bushe.
Rich Litvin sent me also.
It was hard to get through the process but once I did it was mind boggling and life changing.
@BCODN Something's up. I hear the ad at the beginning for the University, but when the lecture starts, there's no audio. Is anyone else having this problem?
Excellent, thank you for the introduction. I especially appreciate how you connect this to organizations. Follow up question from eight years ago now... Is there deeper material that you would suggest that would help fill in the applied details?
Sure thing John...send me an email to [email protected] in Vancouver Canada and I'll steer you to some great stuff.
fantastic . bushe is right on!
Silos of Excellence - please consider rephrasing this word. You can never achieve excellence in silos, especially when you view organizations inside-out as highly interconnected and 'organic'.
This was extremely interesting, informative and very well explained! What took me months to vividly understand what my lecturer was speaking about I learnt it in less than 20 mins. Thank you so much!
Thanks Roma...very much appreciate your feedback!
Great overview Donna- even all these years later the book remains popular! Be Well~
This is a really great video about dialogical OD. Thank you! To shared vision: There is a good short video with Peter Senge where he talks about that shared vision question. I found it inspiring. kzread.info/dash/bejne/o56umo9mZajJgc4.html
Great video. Love Eli's character and the fact that it wasn't particularly polished (e.g. crossed out mis-spelling of traditional) which made it even more enjoyable and informative.
Thanks A.C. Great to hear from you!
Thank you, your explanation of complexity theory has given me a greater understanding of how it applies within an organisational context.
Super! Thanks for dropping by. I'll make popcorn next time :-)
Nice lecture, love the language and MCD6 quote. 😍 Bioleadership I'll have to think about, sounds a it like 'coaching' to me.
Good to hear from you. Love to hear more after you chew it over
Thank you very much for this valuable video !! I juust wanna to ask about references for ((Complexity org "chart" and Silos of excellence)), hope you answer my question, thanks again!!
References for starters are anything by Ralph Stacey, the late Brenda Zimmerman, and of course the Plexus Institute web site. Let me know if you want more
I wish there was more long-form content on YT of this man. He has contributed alot. Unfortunately it's all mostly business-oriented.
Business is just the field of activity in which the ITC methodology is presented. You can apply the principles in any context.
Interestingly, both of the illustrations involve what we put into our mouths. And our identities tend to be built partly on a foundation of putting things into our mouths. So, to change what we put into our mouths necessarily involves a change in who we are. It's pre-rational but it's a strong factor. Lots of behavior is tied to our identities, so when new behavior is being asked of us, we may be unable to make the change because we will lose track of who we are and feel disoriented, lost or worse. Talking about such things is no guarantee that we will learn about ourselves. Many people feel very threatened by self-reflection. And learning such things about ourselves is no guarantee that we will be able to move past it and change. Many, many people are happy to keep doing what their doing and sicken and die because their identity will still be intact. Ceasing to be who they are is a much more uncomfortable thot than simply dying. I've seen this all my life.
Love this exploration and the hope that it offers us as a species! Thanks to you all.
Applying complexity to organisation.. Capitalise on relativity theory language and self organisation theory language....that will simply the scientific recipe of what you are doing
This is a nice little trick
PARVENU - Selkirk College Castlegar Campus. Eli, how she go ?
She go good. Yeah Selkirk College!

12:00 DING DING DING DING the key is understanding yourself
Immunity to Change is absolutely brilliant work.... a rare coaching model that deals with the all too frequent business situation of a well-intentioned, capable employee who knows what s/he needs to do but doesn't do it. This coaching model focuses on mindset the root cause of performance.
Very good overview of the entire HPI process. Great review and reminder of the systematic steps in the process and why.
Excellent presentation! Thank you for this!
:D
Brilliant, thank you!
I cannot get past column 3.
same
The problem with self-organisation is that it requires less politics in firms
