    Hey have you ever run into any timing belt tracking issues after replacement? Mine keeps tracking towards the diesel pump when I turn the engine over a few times.

    haha I have the same problem, someone covered my entire dog leg with bondo 1/2" thick. Tip heat the bondo with a heat gun and peel it off, no dust.

    Great detail right up on this video. Is it possible just to remove the back portion of the subframe and leave the front still connected as long as it supported to get the steering rack out?

    @@SVsAuto I have heard it was done that way but it's a lot harder it's always easier to just drop the subframe especially if the engine is out.

    Thanks for the awesome video man ! Just a quick question, how do you make sure that all the air is out of the system?

  • @SVsAuto
    @SVsAuto Жыл бұрын

    You can bleed the air by cracking the banjo bolt and turning the steering until no more air is expelled.

    Excuse me, I just wanted to know if you can help me with my car. I have a problem with the power steering. It spills all the oil. Can you help me? I removed the old steering and put a new one on, but I don't know how the connection is going.

  • @SVsAuto

    Just guessing, but it could possibly be the banjo fittings aren't sealing properly.

    Hi Steve great video thanks for sharing. I would like to know how you installed the computer and if you had to buy a special harness or did you use the same harness from the donor car? I am about to convert my 1970 VW bus but I am collecting information to be able to do it.

  • @SVsAuto
    @SVsAuto Жыл бұрын

    I took the ecu from the donor car and modified it for use in the bus. If you are good with electrical stuff you can do it all yourself. There are also places that you can purchase premade harnesses and ECU'S. Took me about two days to modify the harness.

    Excellent video thank you very much for sharing. Does the heating channel have to be cut to be able to install the radiator?

  • @SVsAuto
    @SVsAuto Жыл бұрын

    For the belly mount radiator setup it is necessary to cut the heat tubes, if your doing the engine mounted radiators you can keep them.

    Or just fix your weather strip?

  • @2zer084
    @2zer084 Жыл бұрын

    It’s not the weather strip, there used to be a nylon spacer that engages the second click on the latch, ford have the same shit, you can buy them at an auto parts store but then you have to take the striker off. This is better than the tape I have wrapped around mine.

    Nice job not shaking the door as hard after the "fix". The door is still sloppy and moves at the top, which is where the noise is coming from.
