    I just got back from a 5 day trip with this tent. It endured wind and 2 thunderstorms and stayed dry. the zippers are very good quality. you can place your sleeping bags in the back and there's enough room for 2 folding recliners up front. Setting it up was simple as can be...15 minutes. folding it back up wasn't bad. It was cold and the material was damp, but when i got home the tent had dried out and the nylon warmed up so i got the rest of the tent in the bag. Its a big quality tent for $200 bucks and its worth it. also be sure and set it up in the shade, we had a campsite with no shade and late afternoons were sweltering. It doesnt bloch out much sun. The instructions and video don't really show it but it comes with battery pack for the LED's.

    Ray-Ban WAYFARER EASE doesn't have a tilt either and it's not foldable. Same design like Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer. The only thing that bothers me about them is that they're heavy and the nose gets bumped.

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner20 күн бұрын

    I'll have to look into the Wayfarer Ease when I go to replace these. I'm surprised to say this, but I'm still wearing the same folding one's that I reviewed in this video from almost 6 years ago. The bad thing about the folding is they tend to fall off my head if I place them on a hat. They've probably fallen off 100s of times at this point. lol

    Any idea on battery life with the 4-D batteries??

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner20 күн бұрын

    They should last a good while. 4-D batteries is about 72 watt hours and the rechargeable pack we use is 100 watt hours. We kept our tent up all summer and we pretty much made it all summer with the recharged battery pack using the lights on the weekends, and when friends came over.

    I saw a video showing to NOT zoom with the Wolverine and do the crop later in post editing. This makes a huge difference. The video with the digital zoom of the converter is riddled with compression artifacts. The video with no zoom is virtually artifact free.

    Hey, do you still use this tent If so, how is it holding up? I am looking into giving one.

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosnerАй бұрын

    It actually held up pretty well, however we kept it outside for 3 summers and sometimes in the the fall and it even saw snow, so it had gotten pretty badly stained and a tree branch fell on it, so we replaced it with the Core 9 Person Cabin Tent. Both tents are pretty good quality. The Core 9 is a little better. If you checkout the description of this video, there's links to the other tent we have now. Sometimes you can find it discounted at Walmart. There's a link to that as well. Thanks for the question!

    It's worth noting that Philips stopped making retail/consumer devices sometime ago. Their TVs are made by Vestel and this bulb could be made by anyone. Philips is a managed brand, the great curse of the consumer. This bulb almost certainly originates in China.

  • @EricCosner

    When I produced this video it was nearly impossible to find a matching bulb. The one we reviewed is still going at 4,500 hours. It's stamped with Phillips but yeah, it's a shame brands are no longer really brands!

  • @EricCosner

    There's not much. The double door has a few pieces of velcro to hold the flaps closed and there's also velcro to help hold the rainfly where it interfaces with the 6 poles.

    I had this tent, it lasted a long time till the zipper broke on the door. We bought another one just like it. I wish Ozark trails would make the side entrance door zipper and Velcro. ( Velcro for going in and out.) You do enter in and out a lot, but don't want bugs coming in and don't want to be constantly zippering it up till after dark. Love this tent!!!

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner2 ай бұрын

    Yes, the WiFi only watch can use WiFi to do these things, however the experience won't be as good. With the cellular watch, you'll be able to make calls and use your watch in more places. It really boils down to how often you are without your phone and how connected you want to be. 😊

    Amazing video! Thank you so much! Exactly what I needed! Do you mind posting what lights you were using to hold down the rainfly? Also! Do you still think this is the best tent at this size for $350??

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner2 ай бұрын

    Hello @jramoschristie ! The flame lights located near the rainfly cords are shown here (amzn.to/4b2Ztp1). I think the specific ones may be currently unavailable, but there are other similar options. I believe the more LEDs there are, the more realistic the flames look. We still have them and they are still working and they were purchased in 2022. Only complaint I have with them is the plastic part that goes into the dirt will split apart if you push too hard. As for the price of the tent, Walmart has a very similar tent made by Ozark Trail, usually it's about a $100 less (goto.walmart.com/JrXWrq). Sorry it took so long to reply! Thanks again for the excellent questions!

    hey, I have a movie digitizer, do you know if the parts are similar to the wolverine moviemaker digitizer? I am looking for troubleshooting tips and cannot find any other videos on the movie digitizer, just the kodak and wolverine models. can you help?

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner3 ай бұрын

    Great question! So many of the devices are similar in design, but not identical. I have the Kodak Reels and still have the one in this video, which looks a lot like another Wolverine. Plus over time, they have made changes to the product. If you let me know what type of issue are you experiencing, I can research further, perhaps test something or try and reference the troubleshooting manuals for either of the two scanners I have.

  • @brasskat2004
    @brasskat20043 ай бұрын

    Thanks! I purchased this from someone on Facebook marketplace for $75. I have been able to digitize 20+ 3” reels so I am happy so far. I am having issues with the take up reel and the clutch isn’t grabbing some of the films. It will be going along fine and then it skips 2 or 3 and then continues and does it again. I will take off the back and see if it is similar to the Wolverine model and see if some of your troubleshooting tips can help.

    Nice find! I just replicated this in the JT environment. (I'm on 1.1.1) and then if you walk to a different spot, it goes there too. Very interesting to see the model from a different than intended viewpoint... you can see that anything within a direct line of sight of the anchor sphere is still rendered in very high detail, even far away... but anything hidden behind a rock is either super lo-rez, or missing altogether. I gotta think that eventually we'll have environments with either much bigger "spheres" to move around inside, if not infinite. But I guess that's what VR games already do, eh? Just not nearly as realistic looking

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner3 ай бұрын

    Thank you for letting me know!! Others on a FB group I'm in are also reporting it works on 1.1.1 so I finally took the plunge and upgraded. I wonder if they left some of the places we can't see out of it to conserve memory. I figure since you can open apps inside of these environments, they wanted them to be as light weight as possible, but still there's definitely some heavier rendering, like the water ripples as likely resource intensive. There's another app I'm using called Moon Portal, which has some neat environments that you can walk around in. They aren't quite as detailed as Apple's built in ones though. I'm excited to see the "Coming soon" ones. Hopefully apple doesn't fix this glitch by then lol

  • @Kampy_

  • @Reactivelight

    It's interesting that the water still ripples while you're in the middle of the lake. That kills one of my theories about how this environment was engineered.

  • @EricCosner
    @EricCosner3 ай бұрын

    It’s definitely eye opening. I only knew about this perhaps 1 day before 1.1.1 came out, and so far nobody has confirmed they can replicate this. I do have to take the headset off far enough that when I put it back on, I see the Optic ID unlock. After that, it places me at a different location relative to how far I walked in the real world.
