    This is the review I needed! Thank you for showing the lights, the battery pack alternative, and how it handled the weather! I also loved your touch of having little torches where the stakes were so no one trips on the strings (That is the worst!).

    Just bought the updated ozark trail tent like you had. I haven’t even picked it up yet but I’m pretty excited and will probably do a review on it at some point.

    Great review! Finally a real test from a family! I'm looking for an instant cabin tent for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Core Equipment sounds like a good compromise between quality and price. I'm torn between the 6 or 9 person, and also between this LED or the full rainfly model. Nothings beat a full rainfly for rainy days but the LED version looks pretty cool lol

    I think this tent was just slightly more expensive than the Ozark one, but not by a lot. It is similar overall. I have grown to like the placement of the door on the right-front side. We tend to use that the most, I really miss the iPad/tablet holders that came with the Ozark. The zippers move a little easier on the Core 9 tent. The lights also work differently. It has a light switch, but if I'm using my rechargeable battery pack, the light switch, which is available inside and outside, doesn't use enough power, and my battery goes to sleep. We've been just running an extension cord to the tent to power the lights all summer. I do appreciate the comment. I'm anxious for warmer weather and camping! 😊

    Amazing video! Thank you so much! Exactly what I needed! Do you mind posting what lights you were using to hold down the rainfly? Also! Do you still think this is the best tent at this size for $350??

    Hello @jramoschristie ! The flame lights located near the rainfly cords are shown here (amzn.to/4b2Ztp1). I think the specific ones may be currently unavailable, but there are other similar options. I believe the more LEDs there are, the more realistic the flames look. We still have them and they are still working and they were purchased in 2022. Only complaint I have with them is the plastic part that goes into the dirt will split apart if you push too hard. As for the price of the tent, Walmart has a very similar tent made by Ozark Trail, usually it's about a $100 less (goto.walmart.com/JrXWrq). Sorry it took so long to reply! Thanks again for the excellent questions!

    Any idea on battery life with the 4-D batteries??

  • @EricCosner

    @EricCosner

    11 күн бұрын

    They should last a good while. 4-D batteries is about 72 watt hours and the rechargeable pack we use is 100 watt hours. We kept our tent up all summer and we pretty much made it all summer with the recharged battery pack using the lights on the weekends, and when friends came over.

    How much Velcro is in this tent

  • @EricCosner

    There's not much. The double door has a few pieces of velcro to hold the flaps closed and there's also velcro to help hold the rainfly where it interfaces with the 6 poles.

    Check the links in the description. Prices vary from $200 to $400. Also, check out our older video of the Ozark Trail tent. It’s some a deal at Walmart.
